Mr. CEO's Substitute Bride-Chapter 615 - 611, don’t touch me, you hypocritical bad guys!
Seeing no one answering him, Titus Zane became agitated and roared, "Speak up! Where is Nathan Moore! Where is he!"
The bloody scene from the escape still lingered before his eyes, Caspian Warner stabbing knife after knife into Nathan Moore’s back...
"I need to find him, I need to bring Nathan Moore back, we’ll go home together and never come to this damned place again..."
Titus mumbled to himself as he got out of bed, his hospital gown disheveled, his hair unkempt, and his face bruised like a mental patient. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"Little Titus..." Abigail Zimmerman called out with heartache, reaching to stop him, but was pushed away by Titus Zane. Those on the verge of collapse always possess more strength than normal people. Abigail fell backward, caught by Evander Lancaster who stood behind her and frowned disapprovingly.
"Little Titus! Get a hold of yourself!"
Titus’s bare foot had just touched the cold marble floor, but he felt none of its chill, raising his head and yelling at Evander Lancaster.
"How can I stay calm when Nathan Moore is in trouble!"
Evander Lancaster’s lips twitched, speechless from the rebuke.
In a moment of standoff, Titus grabbed his shoes, intent on leaving the hospital room in nothing but his thin patient’s gown, when Alder Locke stepped forward, pulled him back, and spoke with a strained voice.
"Little Titus, listen to me..."
"Get out of my way! I won’t listen!" Titus shoved Alder Locke’s hand away, this being the first time she reacted so violently and rudely, clenching her fists and straightening her neck as she yelled at him.
"Don’t think I don’t know what you’re planning! All you want is to separate me from Nathan Moore! And then pretend to be the good guys in front of me! You all!"
"Enough!" Before Titus could finish his accusations, he was sharply rebuked by Evander Lancaster who walked over from behind his wife, standing by Alder Locke’s side and facing Titus.
"No one could have expected such a thing to happen. Even if Nathan Moore hadn’t come to your rescue, we would have arrived as soon as possible!"
"As soon as possible? Heh, haha..." Titus laughed as if he had heard a joke, unwittingly stepping back, the healing wound at the corner of his mouth torn open again, bleeding.
But she felt no pain at all, for the ache in her heart was a thousand times more painful than the physical wound.
"Arriving as soon as possible," Titus repeated, stepping backward while Abigail Zimmerman got up, ready to help, but Titus had already fallen back onto the bed.
"You’re really good at deceiving yourselves," Titus continued to smile bitterly, her lips curving into a tragically beautiful and ironic arc.
Suddenly, her gaze sharpened, her voice rising with it.
"Do you know! If Nathan Moore had been just one minute later, I would have been raped by Caspian Warner! Then killed! If you had ’arrived as soon as possible’, all you’d have to do is collect my corpse! Tomorrow, the headlines in all of Capital City’s newspapers would read: ’A woman in a certain hotel was raped and then murdered!’"
"Nonsense! How can it be that serious!"
Titus Zane’s words were clearly not believed by Evander Lancaster; in today’s open society, there are no kidnappers that kidnap just to rape.
The other two in the hospital room, however, were shocked.
They thought the kidnapping was for ransom, but never imagined...
Alder Locke stood still, his hands unconsciously clenched into fists inside his trouser pockets.
"Little Titus..." Abigail Zimmerman approached him, reaching out a hand which was promptly swatted away by Titus.
"Don’t touch me!" A sharp voice rang out, as Titus retreated toward the bed, "You hypocritical villains!"
