Mo Han and Beichen Rui walked away, leaving Ye Xinluo alone. Initially, she felt a bit embarrassed until she couldn’t bear her gaze any longer, then gently lifted the hospital gown.
Ye Xinluo saw the bruise on her abdomen with her own eyes. Just as she put down the clothes, she sharply noticed that there seemed to be bruises on her lower back as well.
"Didn’t you learn self-defense? How could you end up like this?"
Qin Yin merely gave a slight smile at the corner of her mouth without answering. Yes, she had learned it, but as for that person, how could she bring herself to fight back?
Seeing the irrepressible sadness in her eyes, Ye Xinluo chose not to discuss the topic and shifted her attention instead, "Right, you probably haven’t eaten yet! I bought some food on my way here. I also brought your phone; it was dead and turned off, so it needs to charge for a bit."
She took her phone out of the bag, along with a charger she saw on her sofa, plugged it into the power, and charged the phone. Then she went to get the food from the cabinet.
She served porridge with lean meat, ready to feed her, but was refused. She rested it on the table and let her eat on her own. After she finished eating, Xinluo chatted with her for a while. Worried that the little guy would be anxious alone at home, Beichen Rui and Ye Xinluo left first, leaving Mo Han at the hospital to accompany her.
"Assistant Mo, you should go back too." Shortly after Ye Xinluo left, Qin Yin spoke to the man standing by the window.
"It’s okay, I’ll leave in a bit. Is there anything you want to eat? I’ll go buy it for you."
"No." She shook her head lightly, "You probably haven’t had dinner yet, right? There are food places nearby, go have something to eat first."
"Alright." Mo Han didn’t refuse. He instructed her with a couple of things and left the ward. When he returned, he saw Qin Yin in a daze.
He stayed until after eight in the evening before going home.
Ye Xinluo and Beichen Rui returned home. The little guy had just finished his bath and was watching TV. He only asked where they went and didn’t inquire further.
Back in the room, she found clothes, took a bath, dried her hair, and went downstairs to watch TV with Jingxi for a while. Then she took him back to his room, lulled him to sleep, and finally returned to her own room.
As she opened the door, she saw a man sitting on the bed. Her brow twitched, and she turned to run.
"Where are you going?"
Beichen Rui stopped her, got off the bed, came in front of her, and straightened her body, looking down into her eyes.
Except for those few days after returning from a business trip, he had been locked out of the room by this little woman for several days now. He went to find Tong Ma for a key, but this little woman was a step faster and hid the key away.
