Mr. CEO Has a Crush on Me-Chapter 1298: Saved (Part 1)
After a few muffled sounds, the aunt was dragged into the room motionless.
Lu Wanwan was startled for a moment, covering her mouth, fearing to make a sound.
She quickly followed into the room and closed the door.
The aunt was knocked unconscious on the floor. Gu Annan quickly approached the door, looked at Lu Wanwan, who wanted to speak but dared not, and gently put his finger to his lips, signaling her to keep silent. He then listened to the sounds outside.
Lu Wanwan repeatedly took deep breaths to calm herself down.
The window of the room was open, and Gu Annan had climbed in through it. The noise earlier should have been the sound of the glass being cut open for his entry.
"What’s going on? Where is everyone?" This house wasn’t soundproof, and Mo Han’s voice was gradually approaching.
Gu Annan’s brows tightened, his expression grim, as his hand reached for the gun at his waist.
When he came in, it was confirmed that Xiao Ye and Mo Han were up front.
To ensure Lu Wanwan’s safety, no one was instructed to shoot immediately.
At such a distance, if they missed the shot, either Xiao Ye or Mo Han could rush into the room and take Lu Wanwan hostage in the shortest time.
He didn’t want to take that risk.
"Speak!"
"Don’t open the door!" Lu Wanwan sensed Mo Han’s voice was too close, his tone tinged with suspicion. Gu Annan’s hand was already tightly gripping his handgun. "I’m changing clothes, I dirtied them while in the bathroom."
Lu Wanwan was extremely tense, especially seeing the aunt starting to regain consciousness on the floor.
Almost simultaneously, Gu Annan silently moved to the aunt’s side, aiming the gun at the person just awakening.
The aunt was scared stiff, mouth agape, but dared not speak.
A faint sound made Lu Wanwan’s heart leap to her throat.
Gu Annan and Mo Han’s backgrounds were different; she didn’t want them to face off.
"She’s helping me change clothes!"
Under a warning glance, the aunt shivered, "Clothes!"
The door wasn’t opened, Mo Han coldly said, "Hurry up, there’s no time."
"I understand."
Lu Wanwan’s heart was pounding as she looked at Gu Annan again. He gave her a signal to immediately head out the window.
"But..." Lu Wanwan uttered just a syllable, recalling Mo Han, dared not make another sound.
Seeing Gu Annan’s brows knitting tighter, she had no choice but to follow him, quickly retreating to the window, using the nearby stool to climb out.
By the window, a few people in bulletproof vests nodded at her, assisting her to climb out of the room.
"The Young Madam is out," one of them promptly relayed the message, as others began entering the room through the window.
Almost simultaneously, the door was slammed open.
Lu Wanwan heard gunshots from inside, and a chill swept over her.
Gu Annan hadn’t come out yet!
Realizing this fact, the blood in her veins seemed to lose all its warmth.
Mo Han must have realized she couldn’t change clothes now, her hand still cuffed.
"Young Master!"
The person who had just transmitted the message also immediately went in without a hint of hesitation.
Lu Wanwan was overwhelmed by the gunfire, leaving her mind buzzing, as if time had stopped.
She didn’t know how long had passed before Gu Annan pressed one hand against the window frame, his tall and slender figure pivoted outside, and he jumped out, walking toward her.
"What are you afraid of?" His deep voice came from between his lips.
The white coat was stained with patches of blood, strikingly conspicuous.
"It’s not my blood." Seeing her face turn pale with fright, Gu Annan glanced down, walked up, and used the blood-stained key in his hand to unlock her handcuffs.
