Chapter 182: I CAN’T STAY AROUND HIM

"Humph! Now you can’t tell me that I can’t hate her, okay?!" Dove listened to Nora pressing her lips together not knowing how to react for a moment. And why would she do that? Dove thought to herself. She too did not like this person. Clearing her throat, she said, "We can hate on her together." To which, Lisa nodded her head in satisfaction and spoke, "That is more like it."

Then a big yawn escaped her lips, as tiredness caught on her again, and she said, "Then you need to keep your word, and I will send you the location tomorrow morning, alright. I will have to go visit the agency’s office tomorrow morning and then we can catch up in the after noon."

And after planning for a little while more, the young women hung up the call.

Dove put aside her phone, with a small smile on her lips, and nodded to herself. "Gavi would like it." She murmured softly. She remembered how Gavi was telling her a few days ago, that he misses spending time with Lisa.

And then a second later, her smile flattered a little, when she remembered what Lisa told her about Dante, and she pressed her lips together and huffed very softly, "Humph! Why would I bring Dante with me?" But then she felt it even wrong to not tell him or invite him. She had no other choice after all. He would stick around her and Gavi. And also, he is not just any regular bodyguard that she could boss around and just tell him to wait for her while she ate.

Humph! I don’t want him to be there! If he stays around, then I will probably have my thoughts lost again. She thought to herself.

Dove furrowed her eyebrows as she frowned. She knew that she shouldn’t be having these thoughts, and she only seemed to be petty, and not like a mature adult woman! But then she did not even know what she was supposed to do.

After laying on her bed, and staring at the ceiling, for God knows how long, a look of resolve finally appeared on her face, and then her face hardened, and she spoke softly, "I will request him to give me someone else for protecting me. He is such busy man. He has huge responsibilities of handling his business empires, I don’t think it is in either way good for him to be bound to this stupid protection." Dove said, as she frowned. Firstly, she did not even understand the need of this so called protection at all. Taking a deep breathe, Dove shook her head. "And I will talk to Grandpa about it." Dove decided upon it, and then finally after sometime she drifted to sleep.

Meanwhile, at a certain someone’s room, that person laid wide awake, while being in a call with another person, seemingly in distress.

"What do you think about it?" Dante asked, as he leaned against the headboard, a frown marred on his forehead. Calix on the other side of the call, as well as city, pressed his lips together, not knowing what to say or how to react, with a file of papers opened in his hand, that he working on, when suddenly his employer called him out of nowhere, and telling him about his love story, which he thought was at stake.

"..." For a good few seconds, Calix said nothing. Or in better words, he did not know what to say. And his lack of answer ignited more dissatisfaction at Dante’s end, and he clicked his tongue in an irritated manner and said, "Now say something, will you?"

Dante clicked his tongue, making Calix press his lips for a couple of seconds, before he finally said, after clearing his throat, "Boss, that you would know better. It is your own personal life, I don’t think I have any say in it."

Dante gritted his teeth in frustration before taking a deep breathe and said, "Calix Reign! Can you stop being a block head of an assistant right now, and just be my brother that you are! And help me out here?!"

Dante hissed at Calix, who also happened to be his cousin. Calix really felt like he was getting stuck in a sticky glue, from where it was hard to get out off. He too taking a deep breathe, said, "I am sorry, Dante. But I don’t think so that I can provide you with any much valuable knowledge regarding your love life. All that I can say is that, you must have messed up somewhere with Miss Dove. After all, you don’t have any experience in love. Who knows you must have said something that might have offended the young miss." Calix clicked his tongue.

Dante on hearing Calix said that, he pressed his lips together again, but this time in speechlessness. And at this moment, he was really regretting telling this man to just be his brother. Because the brothers could be very blunt at times with each others. Mostly, others did not know that Calix was not only Dante’s right hand man, but also his own cousin brother, except for the important people around them.

And as what he said, has hit Dante on the spot, Dante hissed and said sarcastically, "Huh! What are you being so cocky for? At least, I am on the way, and far better that you who has been a virgin for all his life! Hah! Not like that barren land of a heart, where no flower of love has even bloomed." At least, Dante has a woman he was trying to win over, and not only that, he had a son too!

Calix widened his eyes slightly, in disbelief that Dante would taunt him so pettily! Since even did Dante Lancaster learn to be so petty and ready to argue over matters like this! Calix wanted to say something in return, and he opened his mouth, but then closed it back, after realising that he had nothing to counter back. After all, what Dante said was in a sense true.
