Mr Bodyguard, Protect Your Heart!-Chapter 174: WHICH PART OF HIS CLEAR SPEECH DID HE NOT UNDERSTAND?!
Noah walked up to Dove, and then smiling at her a little said, "You stayed over for quite late today . Is everything going alright?" he initiated the conversation. Dove glanced at him, feeling a little awkward, because they had never really conversed one on one like this much after she returned to the country. At least not this calmly until now.
Anyway, answering his question, Dove nodded her head and said, "Yes, everything is doing fine." She then glanced at his briefcase for a brief second and said, "And it seems that you had decided to work until late too." He too did not leave yet.
Noah smiled and shook his head and said, "Actually, no, CEO Dove. I was done with my work long ago. And I was here actually waiting for you."
Hearing him say that, Dove blinked her eyes, and then Dante furrowed the space between his eyebrows deeply. ’What? Why does he have to wait for Dove downstairs for so long?! If it was something regarding work, then couldn’t he just get it done in her office itself?" It was Dante thinking and grumbling in his mind.
Dove raised her eyebrows and asked in surprise, "You were waiting for me? But why? Is it something about the project?" To which, Noah shook his head and said, "No, the work about the project is going absolutely fine. Actually, there is something else that I need to tell you." And as Noah said it, other might not catch it due to his very casual tone, but he himself knew how fast was his heart beating at this moment.
After Dove returned from abroad, she had let go of the coldness between them, and had been on a formal and polite terms with each other. But still, they had never had more than a couple calm talk with one another. And now when Noah was trying to, his heart was racing with uncertainness and nervousness.
Dove slightly frowned and asked, "What is it?"
Noah then glanced at Dante, who was still carrying the sleeping Gavi in his arms and standing right behind Dove protectively, and also looking at his coldly at him as if he was some sort of enemy. Noah did not know if it was intentional or not, but he did not at all like everything he was seeing!
He did not what exactly. But was it the way that Dante was standing that close to close and holding her son, giving it an illusion to anyone who did not know that it was his? What was he doing still carrying the boy in his arms? Can’t he just put him in the car?!
Or was it that cold look on his face. Anyway, he decided not to think about it too much. And he just huffed and averted his gaze back to Dove. His expressions instantly mellow downing.
He smiled at her slightly, and said, "Dove, can we talk in private? I actually have something to talk about with you."
And just when those words left Noah’s mouth, it was Dante who felt like thunder stuck! Wait-! What?! His mind immediately showed him big red light! W- what was the need for it even? Why does he have to talk to her at all? That too in private?!!!
And while Dante was having his own crisis in his mind, Dove looked at Noah, her face having not much expressions. She looked at him with a straight face, and after a few seconds of contemplating, much to Dante’s horror, she nodded her head agreeing, "Alright."
Just when Dante heard her, his mouth went6 agape! Huh? What?! She agreed?!!! He was flabbergasted. While, while a smile instantly lit up on Noah’s face. He beamed and nodded his head, "Hm." And he took a step backward, to go at a little distance from there. Dove had just taken a couple of steps following him, when Noah and Dove, both of them stopped in their tracks.
They turned their heads to see that Dante was also tagging along with them. Noah’s face instantly turned black, and he looked at Dove, who too looked at Dante in surprise. He gritted his teeth glaring back at Dante and tried to speak in his normal tone, "I said, I have something to talk about with Dove. IN PRIVATE." Which part of his clear words did this grown man not understand to tag along with them?! Noah yelled in his mind.
But Dante, being Dante, he simply shrugged and said, "But I am here bodyguard, and I have been told to follow everywhere she goes like her shadow. So that, no harms befalls on her." The last few words he said, looking straight into Noah’s eyes. And Noah could swear that he was just a little away from throwing up blood. Was this man mad?
Does he look like someone who would eat Dove away, if he asked for a private distance if a few metres away from this man?!
Noah clenched his teeth so hard that one would be concerned for him that he doesn’t break his teeth off.
Finally sighing, he could only look at helplessly, saying softly, "Dove please." Dove pressed his lips, honestly a little confused, before she nodded and then turning at Dante she said, "Dante, you can put Gavi in the car, and please wait for me. I will be back after listening to what Noah has to say."
Noah beamed again rejoicingly, on seeing that Dove had just taken her side, and he smirked giving Dante a mocking look. ’Bleh! What are you going to do now?’ was what he was saying Dante through his gaze. Meanwhile, Dante stared at Dove in disbelief, as he saw her and Noah walk a few metres far, and engage in a conversation. While, he was left there feeling betrayed like a first wife who has been overlooked by the king for another concubine.
Meanwhile, Dove stood in front of Noah and asked with a small nod, "Yes, Mr Noah? What is it that you want to talk to me?"
