Mr Alpha, I Am Not Your Typical Lady!-Chapter 175) Fainted.
Nikolai’s pov,
I had bought new clothes and had changed into them (a mixture of black and golden colored shirt and trouser), but I kept on checking if the clothes were perfect.
I was not checking whether the clothes were perfect because of myself, but I was doing this because of my mate.
What if she didn’t like the clothes I had changed into and would not want me to keep on sticking to her side?
Not that I was actually going to stop sticking to her side even though she told me to.
’Hey, Nikolai. I think you should hurry back to our mate. I am suddenly having a bad feeling about her and I don’t appreciate that’. Nolan said to me, but he did not have to say that to me because I could already feel it too. I felt that something was wrong, and that it was connected to my mate.
Without needing to stay idle and think about it, I went off, rushing back to the hospital to my mate.
By the time I returned to the hospital and arrived on the floor and ward where my mate ought to be, I saw that a blood transfusion had begun to take place for her Aunt.
Both doctors were there. Including my mate, those two weird grown-ups, and the twins.
Everyone was standing, except the twins who sat next to each other on the sofa.
If I am not mistaken, the twins are the same twins whom Nolan told me had called our mate their elder sister.
But I don’t care to know how they ended up being her twin brothers.
I didn’t leave my pack to poke my nose at another person’s business who wasn’t my mate.
"I see your friend is back, Alpha Anastasia". I heard the doctor, whose name was Rebecca, say to my mate. Because I had concealed my scent, no one among them, except my mate, knew exactly who I was. They thought that I was an ordinary human.
Though looking at things, the weird male and female who stuck to my mate’s side and always called her their mama, they already knew who I was. Even the male already knew that I was Anastasia’s mate.
She must have been the one who told them about me, and the thought of that hit me and made me feel uneasy.
I was... jealous?
I went and stood next to my mate.
She was the person who noticed my presence first and turned to me after I entered the ward.
That was expected.
After all, only she could sense my presence even after I had concealed it.
’Now you look better’. Anastasia, my mate, mind linked me. The instant she said that to me through mind link, I felt something I had never felt before in a long time. My heart was tingling with something foreign.
Was this what they called excitement?
But other than that, there was something wrong somewhere.
My mate’s face was pale and looked whiter than her usual color.
"Are you sick?". I asked her.
"I am okay". She replied to me almost immediately, but I knew that she was telling a lie. It looked obvious. She was sick and was coughing, but when I tried to pat her back, she prevented me from doing so.
"You should sit down and rest". I suggested.
"No. I am fine". She replied to me.
Why was she stubborn? With how slow the blood transfusion was going, it was bound to finish at least an hour from now.
Will she remain standing until an hour is over?
"For once, I agree with him, Alpha Anastasia. You should take a seat". The weird guy said, and I furrowed my eyebrows at him because I was surprised that he did not call my mate his mama this time around.
Was it because the doctors and the twins were here? But he didn’t find it a problem calling her mama when it was me present.
Anyway, Rebecca got closer to my mate’s side, and after glancing at my face, she began to whisper in my mate’s ear, saying, "Pardon me for intruding on your personal space, Alpha Anastasia. But, I am curious. The twins. Are they really your brothers? But how?"
"Everything is officially going to be explained later, Doctor Rebecca. As for now, I am not in the mood to answer any person’s question concerning the people who are staying close to me. If that’s all, please don’t ask me any other questions for now". My mate replied to Rebecca, before she hissed and began to massage her temple.
I was right. She was sick and barely holding on.
But here she was, trying to force herself and pretend that she was okay.
My eyes darkened and I clenched my fists. I hated seeing her in any sort of pain.
’Quit standing and go and sit down. If you refuse to do that, believe me, I am going to cause a scene here. You surely know what I am capable of doing’. I mind linked her, causing her to look at me in disbelief.
What? I might have sounded threatening, but I was only looking up for her.
And it absolutely worked.
She went and sat down on the sofa with the twins, but she never stopped staring at me.
Later on, both doctors left the ward.
I am certain it wasn’t because I was glaring at them behind my mate’s back.
But, I didn’t like the way the weird man and the weird lady were staring at me.
What were even their names again?
I don’t recall and I don’t care.
But since they knew who I was, I guess they were smart enough not to challenge me to a fight. I ought to be the one challenging them to a fight because they were staying too close to my mate.
She wasn’t theirs, but mine.
"Fireball, Irving, come". My mate said to them, and they hurried to her side like she was going to give them a rare gem.
But now, I knew their names, not that I actually cared.
"I need both of you to go to our pack’s border and inform Beta Damien about everything that has happened. He has no idea that we have found Aunt Penelope. So, go and tell him for me". She said to them.
"Don’t you have a phone, ma- Alpha Anastasia?".
"Just go, Irving. I need both of you to go there. Black shadow is still on the loose. Escort Anders back here safely". My mate said.
"But you could simply teleport there and bring them back here in a flash". Irving said to my mate again, but my mate slightly shook her head, like someone who had gotten tired.
"Fine, Irving". My mate said with a groan before she teleported.
But she returned in less than a minute together with Beta Damien and some random kid. Though what I had never expected was for her to breathe heavily as if she was running out of air.
I stared closely at her, and when I noticed that she was about to collapse, I hurried to her side and she fell into my arms.
