As the fight went on, he realized that he could use the preserved power of a lightning bolt to continue to attack other enemies. This made it so that he could attack more than one person with a single lightning bolt.

After he gained this understanding, he began to abuse the advantage immediately. He made one lightning bolt bounce from one enemy to another, burning and scorching them along the way.

He was able to chain enemies together with one lightning bolt because of this advantage. This was something he couldn't do before.

In the past, he could only make a lightning bolt explode all at once when it struck a target. In fact, he couldn't decide when the lightning bolt would explode.

The lightning bolt would always explode when it struck an obstacle, which was why the peak golden core elder from the Beast Training sect that he fought was able to use the whiskers of her strange pet to make the lightning bolts explode far away from her body by smashing them.

But thanks to the increased and finer control of his external energy that the strong magnetic field granted him, he could control the lightning bolts so that they would not explode the way he controls his internal energy and heavenly lightning, not to explode within his body.

The increased control made the lightning bolts feel like an extension of his body. This reminded him of what Sword Flash had said about spiritual energy.

So his eyes lit up and said, "This must be how nascent soul patriarchs feel when they use spiritual energy. It is just a wonderful feeling."

His current feeling is actually a subpar level of control compared to the kind of control that spiritual energy can grant. The spiritual energy of nascent soul patriarchs is so sensitive that they can sense the boundary of the first layer of space, and their level of control is so acute that they can put a bunch of their spiritual energy into a mark and sense everything that the spiritual energy experiences, regardless of distance.

But what he is experiencing is still much better than his previous level of control. Instead of being like a child wielding a gun and using it to shoot indiscriminately, he has now become a god of guns who can control the bullets to move around in the air with his mind.

Even the risk of using too much power had disappeared thanks to the incredible control granted by the strong magnetic field. So he decided to take advantage of this level of control by channeling all of his internal lightning into a single lightning bolt that he used to attack all of his enemies.

The single lightning bolt became a giant, thick, blue snake more than a hundred meters long and five meters thick. Then he directed the giant blue lightning snake at his enemies.

The giant blue lightning snake jumped at every enemy like a real snake, but it moved like a lightning bolt, so it was too fast to avoid. It would swallow enemies whole and leave behind black ashes that would blow away with the wind.

The presence of the giant blue lightning snake terrified the gem people into retreat. Unfortunately for them, they couldn't run fast enough. The giant lightning snake was always able to catch up to them and would quickly gobble them up.

Even the peak gem king was not spared from the fate of being turned into ashes. A single lightning bolt shouldn't be able to kill him instantly, but the giant lightning bolt was essentially a thousand lightning bolts all attacking a single target at once.

Once, the giant lightning snake got hold of the gem king, it discharged some of its power in one single instant. This caused a brief bright flash of light. After the flash of light was gone, all that was left of the gem king were wind-blown ashes.

Arthur had to call the giant snake back so that it wouldn't destroy everyone. He had to do this so that Ouroborus would have something to eat.

Ouroborus had already been grumbling because of the wastage of good food that the giant lightning snake was committing. So Arthur let the green-faced plant go and eat to its heart's content.

After the giant snake had finished rampaging among the enemies, it returned to Arthur and coiled around his left arm. It shrank and coiled around his arm like an obedient snake. One wouldn't think it was the same giant snake that was devouring enemies a while ago.

At this point, the lightning bolt had stopped being a spell and had transformed into a weapon. This was because it had become extremely stable.

It required very little mental energy on his part to maintain, just like it requires very little mental energy to maintain his internal energy. Plus, it can be enhanced by inputting more lightning energy into it, so it has become a weapon that Arthur could use and retire however he wished.

He was very surprised by the lightning weapon and how effective it had been in getting rid of his enemies. So he thought to himself proudly, "I'm probably the first one to finish off their assigned enemies. I should go and help the others."

But when he turned to the others, he saw that they had finished off their enemies long before him and didn't need his help. In fact, they were standing to the side and looking at him smugly.

They didn't say anything to him, but they didn't need to say anything for him to know that they were mocking him for being slow. Their posture of folding their arms across their chests to watch him as if they were watching an entertaining movie was all that they needed to do to mock him.

Their behavior made him snort in dissatisfaction. He too didn't say anything to them. But he thought to himself in disdain, "What's so special about them? Isn't it that they possess a nascent soul, and their enemies didn't? Every nascent soul cultivator possesses one, so why be smug about it?"
