Mountain Sitting Immortal-Chapter 59: Flirting.
Vena’s eyes narrowed for the fight this time. She became serious.
This time, she wasn’t going for some casual strike. She was going for a move to maim her enemy. Her eyes were roaming over her enemy, looking for which part to cut off or fracture.
Delia felt that same prickling sensation as bloodlust from Vena washed over her.
As someone that kills casually and has killed a lot of people, the bloodlust coming off of Vena is not something an ordinary person can bear easily.
Most people will be frightened by her. It is for their own good. It is their instinct warning them of danger.
But there are certain people who are too proud and too angry and won’t back off when they sense this danger. They will rush headlong despite the danger because they are confident in their background.
Delia is a person like this. She can sense the danger, but she doesn’t think Vena will kill her.
She is right to think that. Vena won’t kill her. But she will make sure that Delia regrets confronting her.
Her palm became coated with a layer of force vibrating at high frequency. If this layer of force meets flesh, it will rend it immediately.
Delia also formed claws with her hands and coated them with her own force. She was ready to tear Vena apart or at least gouge out her eyes.
Fortunately, things didn’t reach that level. A large blond man with blue eyes appeared abruptly between them and grabbed both of their hands.
He said with a deep, gruff voice. "Enough."
His appearance interrupted the fight. But it didn’t mean the fight had ended. Delia still wanted to fight.
She said to him while pointing at Vena, "She insulted me in my own home. Strike her down for me."
Augustus glared sternly at her and said, "I said enough. We don’t beat guests. That is unbecoming of us as nobles."
Lady Vena snickered by the side. It made Augustus glare at her too.
He said to her, "I see that you’re still as vicious as ever. You managed to anger my gentle wife in a few seconds of meeting. I wonder how you managed that."
Vena chuckled, which caused her bountiful chest to shake. Then she said, "You flatter me, Augustus. But the credit is not mine. Some people are just too fragile."
Delia’s face became dangerously red, but Augustus only grunted. He stepped away from the two of them and went to take a seat.
He ignored them and acted as if they were not about to go for each other’s throats again as he drank tea.
A maid rushed forward to refill his cup, but he held out his hand to stop her.
He ordered gruffly. "Bring me food."
He sat with his back against the chair and looked up at the ceiling, thinking of something. He didn’t speak or move as he waited for his food to arrive.
His silence caused the other two to be silent. Lady Delia took her seat and sat in silence. Only Vena remained standing.
Lady Vena was watching Augustus intently. She liked what she saw. The more she looked, the more she was satisfied.
She was the first to speak. "You’ve changed Augustus."
He grunted in reply.
That didn’t deter her. She continued with a smile, "You look so much more mature now. You’re like strong aged wine. You’re manlier, and I find that very attractive."

Delia choked on her tea when she heard that. She couldn’t believe that this harlot would have the courage to seduce her husband right in front of her.
She wanted to shout, but she choked on tea. She had to cough for a while, which delayed her from making her anger known.
When she was done coughing, some of the anger had faded away. But it was only ignited when she saw Lady Vena take tea from the maid and pour it for Augustus.
Vena had bent in such a way that revealed the smooth skin of her breast. Augustus had also stopped staring at the ceiling to stare at her.
Even though he said he didn’t want more tea, he didn’t stop Vena from pouring more tea for him. He appeared to be captivated by what he was looking at.
Delia couldn’t take it anymore. But she didn’t lash out anyhow because of Augustus’s presence.
Instead she asked, "It seems that you want something from us. I bet that is why you’re offering your body again."
Augustus sighed and said, "Language, Delia. We are better than this. She is a guest. Let’s be polite."
Vena ignored Delia but addressed what she said. "I am indeed here for something. But that’s not why I was offering him my body. I just want sex."
She didn’t deny that she was trying to seduce Augustus. She isn’t one to shy away from those things. She can admit what she is trying to do without shame.
So she continued, "I haven’t had sex in a while and need a strong, virile man to give my body the vigorous servicing it craves so badly."
She had bent down to trace her finger across Augustus’s skin. Any other man would capitulate. But not Augustus. He wasn’t even tempted.
His breath and tone were even as he said, "It is a shame that I can never be that man. I’ve learned my lesson from last time, and I promised myself not to make a fool out of myself again."
Lady Vena pouted, "Come on. Don’t be like that. It will be fun, trust me."
Unfortunately, he wasn’t moved. He simply said, "No, thank you."
His stubbornness made her roll her eyes at him. "Why are you acting like I took advantage of last time? It was my first time too. And I didn’t rape you. Technically."
He had indeed made a move on her, so it didn’t count as rape. But he had made the move after she had drugged him, so it wasn’t certain if the drug had influenced his decision to bed her.
