Mountain Sitting Immortal-Chapter 205: Golems Vs Humans.
The golem's chest caved Iin, so it flashed red runes and went still. This caught him off guard because he had a spear poised for a stabbing but nothing to stab into.
He scoffed at how easy it was to kill the golem. This made it so that he didn't complain when he received a notification for earning one more point.
"I was fooled by that large turtle shield."
He shook his head and checked the properties of the golem before moving on.
Model: Shield and Spear Golem
Strength: 7
Speed: 7
Defense: 7
He muttered to himself, "So pretty average without any strength or weakness. Still weak, though."
He thought it was weak, but that wasn't so for other examinees.
The golems had one advantage and one disadvantage over the examinees. Their advantage was that they were stronger than their human counterparts.
A human at the seventh transformation usually only has around a control of 70%. That means their maximum power output is 4.9. Most humans don't even have that much control. After all, the requirement to break through and reach the seventh transformation is a control above 50%.
So there is a massive gap between the golems and humans. A human will need to be at the ninth transformation in order to match the golems with the power of 7 and 8. As for the rest, they will have to rely on skill.
Fortunately, the situation is not hopeless for the examinees. The golems are strong, but they lack reflexes and quick response ability.
The golems are disadvantaged in terms of reactivity. They are fast in executing attack sequences. But it takes them time to switch and adopt other strategies.
So when things don't go the way they should, the golems are slow to react. This slow reaction and the skills of the humans are what they used to defeat the golems.
But this is not easy to achieve. Take the third golem, for instance. Its shield is enough to stump most of the examinees. There are very few people who have the raw paper to overwhelm the golem like that.
Even the first golem wasn't easy to defeat for many people. This golem was very fast. Its attack speed is also very fast.
The attack strategy of the dagger-wielding golem is to get close to the enemy. Once it gets within range of an examinee, it will cut them quickly.
In less than one second, it has attacked no less than four times. One hit is enough to make the examinee flash with red light and be eliminated from the test.
So things aren't easy for other examinees at all. More than half of them will be eliminated by the fourth golem. Very few of them were strolling through the test like Arthur.
Arthur reached the fourth golem in no time. This golem was wielding a bow and arrow. It shot at him as soon as he got within range of it.
The arrow whizzed through the air towards his face. He smacked it away as if he was swatting at a fly. Then he threw the spear of the golem in his hand.
The spear sailed quickly through the air and struck the golem in the torso. The spear embedded itself in the golem, which caused it to flash red.
The whole fight took less than a second. He had spent more time approaching the golem than the time it took to fight and defeat it. So he didn't mind the reward of one point.
He flexed his shoulders and went over to the golem. Then he ripped out the spear lodged in its chest.
He kicked the golem over to have a look at the back of its head.

He commented on what he saw, "Low defense, average speed, and high strength. Still easy."
Then he moved on to the next golem. This golem was the first one wearing something. Arthur wouldn't have minded if it was wearing a cloth, but the golem was wearing plate armor and wielding a giant sword.
As he looked at the golem, he realized for the first time that they were big.
He hadn't realized this because he was tall and they were slim-looking. But this golem was huge and imposing. Especially with the large sword that it was swinging. It looked like something he couldn't mess with.
The golem rushed at him with its giant sword over its shoulder, ready to swing it. He sneered and threw the spear at it.
The giant sword moved and struck down the spear before it could hit it. This didn't stop the spear entirely.
The spear still struck the golem because the power he had used to throw it wasn't something that the golem could negate easily. But the spear didn't strike it in its chest. It just hit its flank.
Not even its armor could block the spear. The spear sank into the golem's side and injured it.
The golem removed the spear and continued rushing towards him. This caused the sneer on Arthur's face to disappear.
This wasn't what he expected at all. The golem was injured. as evident with the yellow light that flashed briefly on its body. But it could still move and attack.
He became serious and changed his stance. He lowered his body and spread his legs apart. He also had his hands out to fight.
When the golem reached him, it swung the giant sword diagonally in an attempt to cleave him from his shoulder to his chest. But he stopped the sword in its path with the palm of his hand.
His gauntlet absorbed the impact of the sword and stopped it in its strike. He did this while simultaneously clawing at the golem's chest.
The golem stepped back and pulled its sword with it. It was forcing him to let go of the sword and be pulled forward and unbalanced. in his attempt to hold onto it.
