Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 207: A Cure For a Freedom (V)
Of course, Sisi knew that Jojo would be sad. After all, they had already bonded so much, and Kael once told her that Jojo had imprinted on her, which meant he wouldn’t forget her anytime soon.
But if the faeries actually found a cure for him, then what should she do? Of course, she had to fulfill her promise to go back to the faerie land, right?
’Maybe I can find a way to visit Jojo and Kael once or twice a year,’ Sisi thought, then she sighed again. ’I want to visit them every day though...’
The faeries finally left their hiding spot once the Dusk Star had left the room. They flew and landed right on top of Jojo’s head and looked up at their darling, who seemed conflicted.
They had been discussing what they should do before and came to an agreement to try and persuade the elders to at least allow Jojo to enter the faerie land with Darling Sisi, seeing how they resembled a mother and a son.
Jan Keke patted Jojo’s silver hair with her tiny hands and said, "Don’t worry, Jojo. Our Darling loves you soooo much!"
"Oh yes! So, no matter what happens, she will always think of you!" Bold Dodo added.
Crush Tutu dared not to say anything, because it was just too saddening. She knew that Dodo and Keke simply wanted to assure the boy that their darling did everything for his own good, but were any of those comforting words necessary when their darling would leave anyway?
’Darling, please don’t end up like your mother. The faeries cannot bear any more losses...’

Kael strode through the corridor in a daze. He ignored everyone’s greetings. In fact, he didn’t even glance at them.
He kept walking until he reached the throne room and entered, as he wanted some solitude to calm himself.
He sat on that uncomfortable throne for a while, hoping that staring at this throne room would give him a sense of belonging. Because he built this kingdom through blood, sweat, and tears for the sake of Jojo’s future. Surely this was more important than Sisi, right?
But as he kept thinking of all the achievements and the grand kingdom that he had so far, he couldn’t help comparing it to the time he spent with Sisi and Jojo.
When he was with them, he didn’t think of any kingdom matters, nor did he worry about anything except for their safety.
Sisi and Jojo had become two pillars of what he called home, and if one of them disappeared, then his home would crumble and turn to dust.
’So what should I do to keep her by my side? Is this it? Is this really the end of my good life?’ Kael asked himself. He began hearing the curse talking in his head again.
’Didn’t I tell you? You’ll die alone and in agony. She will leave you alone, and you’re going to suffer until you’re old, decrepit, and useless,’ the curse chattered. ’And by that time, even Jojo will forget about you. Once you die, you will bring him down to hell! Hahahahaha!!’
Kael gritted his teeth. He had been so lax because of the good life he had with Sisi and Jojo in the past few days that he forgot about this noisy curse inside his head.
As he was about to leave the throne room and return to the summit, the door was suddenly opened from outside, and Vestor walked in with a stack of documents that needed to be reviewed.
He usually worked in the throne room because he wouldn’t be disturbed there, as nobody dared to enter except during morning court.
But when his eyes met the Beast King’s, who was sitting on the throne, he almost dropped all the documents and kneeled immediately.
"Oh! M-My King, sorry for disturbing you. I’ll go now!"
"Come here, Vestor. I need advice," Kael said before the owl left, and the latter had to comply and kneel right in front of the Beast King.
"What advice do you need from me, My King?" Vestor asked humbly, as he was actually not really sure of his own capability as an advisor.
He was a great bureaucrat who was able to manage the kingdom’s regulations and administration perfectly, but these days all of his advice had bad consequences, so he was thinking of just laying low and simply doing his job without trying to intervene in whatever the Beast King wanted to do.
Honestly, Kael didn’t think that Vestor could give him proper advice, knowing his track record and all the mess he had made so far.
But he was still the most knowledgeable beastman in the palace, even if he wasn’t the wisest.
Kael had nobody else to confide his worries to, so he asked, "What should I do to make Sisi stay?"
"The Mistress?" Vestor frowned. "My King, based on the reports, she seems to be doing well in the Queen’s courtyard. She loves taking care of the Crown Prince and is free to do whatever she wants. I haven’t heard of her plan to leave..."
"Just give me an answer, Vestor," Kael cut him curtly. "You have ten wives, if I remember correctly, so you must have known the way to make them happy and willing to stay. Imagine if Sisi wants to leave the kingdom and never return. What should I do to keep her by my side?"
"W-well, My King, there is a reason why they want to stay. I treat them well and provide for their livelihood. None of them are lacking in provisions, and I take care of all my offspring," Vestor replied, but none of those reasons actually applied to Sisi.
Kael felt that he had been trying his best to treat Sisi well, and he surely didn’t lack wealth. He could give her everything she wanted, but she didn’t need any of those things.
"What if Sisi doesn’t want my wealth? What should I do to make her stay?"
