Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 145: You are a Faerie, Sisi (I)
Leah went into a long silence after that, but Jojo was still unsettled. He was worried that Sisi would actually sacrifice him, and if that happened, then he would never be able to stay by her side anymore!
"Leah, are you telling the truth? W-will Sisi sacrifice me?" Jojo asked. "Then I’ll tell Daddy about this! Daddy will help me find... um... find a boy to sacrifice!"
Once again, Leah was astonished by the little prince’s train of thought. He found nothing wrong with human sacrifice, but suddenly panicked at the thought of being separated from Sisi.
Now Leah was even more convinced that Jojo was his father’s son, because both of them had no regard for others’ lives as long as it served them.
’Is this the trait of a king? I don’t remember Jor being so cruel before. Not even Ruela would be this cold,’ Leah thought as she recalled Jor, the late Alpha of the Silvertooth Pack that Kael had killed.
Nevertheless, Jojo’s reaction intrigued Leah even more. Her ambition grew as she realized that Jojo’s attachment to Sisi was almost cult-like.
’If I can move that attachment from this witch to me instead, I’m sure that Jojo and Kael will be obsessed with me,’ Leah thought. ’I guess I have to be patient with him.’
Leah smiled at Jojo and sighed. "I’m very sorry, My Prince. But it was just a rumor. You shouldn’t tell your father about it, because he’s very busy."
"But you said that you saw it," Jojo asked back. "Were you lying to me?"
"A-another maid saw it, not me. She just reported it to me," Leah dodged responsibility immediately. "I-I will punish her later. S-she must be lying, because Mistress has always been very good!"
"Un! Sisi is very good!" Jojo agreed immediately, forgetting his suspicion from a moment ago.
Leah sighed in relief. Though the little prince could be sharp at times, he was still a kid in the end and was easily distracted.
Thus, Leah shifted the topic by asking if he wanted another snack. Jojo nodded absentmindedly, giving her a chance to escape and make another plan to steal the boy’s heart.
Jojo couldn’t care less about Leah when he had to watch over the unconscious Sisi.
It had been a while since she fell into a deep slumber, and there was no sign of her waking up anytime soon. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Jojo wiped the bunny’s blood from his hands, then rested his head on her belly, feeling the warmth coming from her.
"Sisi, wake up soon. Jojo is scared..." he muttered before falling asleep.

Meanwhile, Sisi felt like she was floating after passing through a wormhole. It was the same experience she had when she lost consciousness after fighting that bear inside the cave, and when she fainted after fighting Kael.
She was quite familiar with this feeling by now, and expected to meet Grandma Tree anytime soon.
My... dearest... granddaughter...
Sisi opened her eyes and smiled at the old tree, patting its large vine. "I’m back, Grandma. How are you doing? It’s almost spring in your place, right?"
Sisi had begun to treat this old, massive tree like her own grandmother. She grew up in an orphanage without knowing her parents, let alone grandparents, so it felt nice to have a connection—even if she wasn’t sure whether that connection was real or not.
The old tree seemed happy to be greeted by its granddaughter. Its huge branches shook joyfully, dropping thousands of colorful petals that covered the ground.
Sisi smiled at the sight of the old tree’s joy. She imagined that Grandma Tree must have missed her a lot.
But for now, there was a question she desperately wanted answered.
"Grandma, do you know about my origin? People out there are calling me a witch since I can control plants at will," Sisi said. "I wonder if I really am... a witch."
A witch?!
The tree suddenly shook—not out of joy, but anger. The ground around them began to rumble, as if Grandma Tree wanted to uproot itself, march toward whoever accused Sisi of being a witch, and smack them with its giant vines.
Sisi patted the vine to calm it down and giggled. "Calm down, Grandma. I’m not hurt by their words."
"I’m just curious whether I’m truly a witch, since I never knew about my parents... and about you," she added. "I want to know my roots."
My darling... you... are not... a witch!
You are a... faerie!
"A faerie?!" Sisi’s eyes widened.
Of course, she had heard many tales about faeries. They were small, mischievous creatures who lived deep inside the forest.
They were only visible to children who wandered too far into the woods and usually guided them back to their villages.
They were also responsible for setting the seasons—turning leaves yellow and plucking them during autumn, stirring up the wind to bring snowstorms, carefully waking the bees in spring so flowers could bloom faster, and so on.
Sisi never really took these stories to heart. Maybe when she was five or six—but she was an adult now. She believed faeries were just tales adults made up to scare or inspire children, depending on how they were told.
But hearing it directly from Grandma Tree... there was no way she could deny the existence of faeries, right?
Still, was she really a faerie?
Why was she so big compared to the faeries in the stories, who were described as creatures no bigger than a thumb?
Unable to hide her curiosity, Sisi asked, "Are you sure, Grandma? I heard stories from humans that faeries are small and have wings, but I’m neither small nor do I have wings."
Oh... my darling... you are truly a faerie.
But your birth is... unique.
I... I want to meet you... not just in a dream...
And I will tell you everything about your parents...
"Then how am I supposed to find you, Grandma? You’re so big, you should tower above other trees," Sisi said. "But I’ve never seen you in real life."
