Mommy Alert! The CEO Daddy Won't Stop Courting-Chapter 396: You don’t hate women anymore?
The clone raised his eyes and glanced at Malcom Moore, saying nothing, just quietly sipping his drink.
He knew Malcom Moore was a good friend of Adrian Davies, but he wasn’t in the mood to deal with Malcom Moore at the moment.
However, the clone ignored Malcom Moore, yet Malcom wasn’t bothered in the least, assuming Adrian Davies was just being his usual aloof self, completely mistaking the clone for Adrian Davies.
Malcom Moore sat down next to Adrian Davies, looking at the clone with a teasing smile, "So, you came here all by yourself not just for some lonely drinks, but for a rendezvous with a belle?"
While speaking, Malcom glanced at the woman beside the clone, showing a meaningful look, "But isn’t it a bit too soon to indulge right after recovering from an illness?"
Upon hearing Malcom’s words, the woman immediately felt displeased.
She looked at Malcom, pouting coquettishly, "Young Master Morris, what do you mean by this? Are you annoyed because I only served Young Master Davies a drink and not you?"
Malcom laughed, "Beauty, that’s not what I meant, don’t overthink it!"
The woman laughed, seeming quite self-satisfied, "I was just saying, after all, I’m a well-known celebrity in River City’s social circles..."
"Get out!" the clone coldly interrupted, cutting off her unfinished sentence.
With indifferent eyes, he looked at the woman, mercilessly saying, "Get out!"
The woman was stunned: everything was fine just a moment ago, what changed suddenly?
Seeing the woman hesitating, the clone’s eyes grew even colder, "What, can’t you hear me?"
Under such icy scrutiny, the woman shivered.
For no apparent reason, she felt that if she didn’t leave quickly, she’d likely be unlucky, or worse, lose her life!
"Young Master Davies, don’t be angry, I’ll leave right away." The woman spoke urgently, got up and darted out.
The woman wasn’t mistaken, if she hadn’t complied, the clone had indeed thought of murder.
After the woman left the private room, Malcom Moore looked at the clone and bluntly asked, "Adrian, are you really better? Have you stopped disliking women?"
The clone didn’t respond.
He was aware that Adrian Davies had a condition preventing him from being close to women, he couldn’t say whether the illness was cured or not.
Because he wasn’t Adrian Davies, and the real Adrian’s condition hadn’t improved.
Also because Malcom Moore was smart, sometimes the more you say, the more mistakes you make, making it easier for Malcom to see through the cracks.
To replace Adrian Davies, it wasn’t enough to just kill him; he had to step into Adrian’s life, living as Adrian Davies.
First, he needed to convince Adrian’s friends that he was Adrian, the next step was to convince Adrian’s family.
If he could accomplish this, no matter whether friends or family, if they couldn’t tell he wasn’t Adrian, then he could discreetly murder Adrian.
The clone said nothing, so Malcom continued on his own, "Adrian, I’m telling you, even if you’re truly better, what you did isn’t right!"
The clone paused his drinking, looking towards Malcom.
Thinking the clone was listening, Malcom continued, "After all, you already have Melody Parker. Doing this is wronging her. Not to mention Melody and Luna are close friends, just the fact that she’s my friend too, I can’t let you do something so unfair to her!"
Malcom grew increasingly passionate as he spoke.
His eyes earnestly met the clone’s as he firmly advised, "Adrian, even if you’re no longer adverse to women, you shouldn’t act recklessly! Got it? Hmm?"
Speaking with pride, Malcom added, "Look at me, brother, before Luna, I roamed the fields without a care, but untouched. Now that I have Luna, I’m even more upright, never getting involved with anything stray."
After saying all this, another thought occurred to him, and Malcom placed a hand on the clone’s shoulder, winking, "Bro, have you not had any action for too long and just can’t hold it anymore?"
The clone looked at Malcom, shaking off Malcom’s hand from his shoulder in disapproval.
Malcom smirked, "Don’t worry, brother, I understand. This little indiscretion of yours, I’ll pretend I didn’t see it, I won’t tell Melody or Luna."
Finishing his statement, he seriously warned, "But next time, you’d better not be so out of line, or I won’t have a good explanation for my Luna either."
Having said so much, the clone just looked at him coldly, barely saying four words, "You misunderstand me."
"I misunderstand? Adrian, that woman had her hands on you just now... Ugh! If I hadn’t come in when I did, you two would’ve surely..." Malcom couldn’t bring himself to believe he misunderstood.
Seeing Malcom unconvinced, the clone stopped explaining, pouring himself another drink.
With that, Malcom also poured himself a drink, slowly sipping while speaking with a knowing tone, "Adrian, drinking like this, clearly you’re unfulfilled in some way! But, of course, once a man starts indulging, who would want to return to loneliness, lying in bed alone, struggling through sleepless nights! I, for one, certainly wouldn’t!"
The clone ignored Malcom, drinking to his fill before standing up to leave.
But just as he prepared to leave, the door to the private room swung open once more.
Soon after, Serena Sterling entered.
Spotting the clone and mistaking him for Adrian Davies, Serena immediately approached, "Hey? Adrian, what are you doing here? Weren’t you supposed to be in Whitehill? How did you come back so soon? Where’s Melody? Did she come back with you?"
Facing Serena’s barrage of questions, the clone didn’t say a word, simply got up and walked out with a cold expression...
As the door to the private room shut again on its own, Serena was left standing there, stunned.
Serena looked at Malcom, pointing towards the door, "That Director Davies, he really is..."
Malcom stood up, pulling Serena into his arms, "Luna, we don’t need to bother with him, an unfulfilled man acts just like that."
Serena’s face was painted with disbelief.
What nonsense is this!
She glared at Malcom, "What nonsense are you spouting, do you think Director Davies is just like you?"
Malcom smirked, "Luna, you just don’t get it, men are all the same. It’s been forever since Adrian saw Melody, he must be..."
Serena promptly covered Felix Moore’s mouth with her hand, "Shut up, don’t talk nonsense."
This shameless man, he truly is...
Serena’s face turned red all the way to the roots of her neck.
