When Zac was just about to return to the streets to keep fighting Netherius, he heard Isidor slowly standing up behind them after Alice let him go to check on the redhead's injuries.

As the Death Knight hesitantly raised his sword and charged towards Alice, Zac's gaze locked on him, and before Isidor could get close to Alice, the redhead had blocked his blade with his bat.

While Isidor held his blade with both hands, Zac easily deflected it with one hand—and in the blink of an eye, the berserker slammed Isidor with his forearm and blasted him out of the building to an adjacent street.

"I was trying to talk to him…" Alice commented.

"He wasn't… I won't let these guys kill anyone else," Zac replied, his tone and expression the most severe they had ever been.

Looking back down at the street where Netherius and Megan were fighting, the redhead jumped down without hesitation.

Alice wanted to join, but she was afraid of leaving Vesnia behind. Netherius had utterly deactivated her body as if she were a machine, so the undead woman couldn't move anything other than her head.

'If I leave her here, the other Death Knight might come and kill her…' Alice thought.

Suddenly, arriving at the perfect moment, Sami and Lexia entered the building through the hole in the wall and found Alice next to Vesnia.

Sami quickly approached them and held Alice's shoulder, then aimed her open palm at the injured Vesnia.

"No worries, Miss Alice. I'll finish her off," Sami said as magic began to gather around her hand.

The ex-detective grabbed Sami's forearm and asked her to stop without saying a word, and only when the hell-cyborg lowered her hand, Alice explained that it was thanks to Vesnia that their communication had been restored.

"Ah, right! This one is Vesnia!" Sami replied in a lighter tone, which heavily contrasted with the environment around them.

"We were asked to bring this…" Lexia continued and approached Alice, taking out the magic conversion gem from a compartment inside her body.

The ex-detective had no idea what they would do with a precious stone in the middle of the battle, but when the cyborgs mentioned that Imera used it to transfer the soul of two undead servants into an android, her eyes widened in realization.

Turning around to look at Vesnia in the eyes, Alice spoke up. "Is this what you want?" she asked.

The Death Knight gazed at the two cyborgs in front of her, and compared to the androids that Netherius received from the Azure Rebels, the two girls looked like normal people, except for their cybernetic bodies.

"After everything I've done… I-" Vesnia muttered.

"That wasn't my question. I'm asking you… Do you want to live!?" Alice asked louder.

When Vesnia thought about her life, there wasn't much she could be proud of.

She had everything taken away from her by Netherius, and then she was forced to take everything from others.

"If I could live again, I would do everything in my power to live a fulfilling life…" Vesnia whispered.

"That's all I needed to hear," Alice replied, prompting the two cyborgs to call a few androids from their squad to come up to the building.

When Vesnia placed her eyes on an android's model with long black hair, the woman stared at it long enough for Alice to deduce that was the body she liked the most.

"Okay… Now, how do I use this?" Alice asked the two cyborgs while holding the magic conversion stone.

Neither Sami nor Lexia had used the stone. They only saw the effects after Imera transferred the undead servants' souls. All they were told was to fill the stone with magic and then cast the desired spell.

"Shit… I still can't use my magic to cast spells," Alice commented.

While the dark paladin had learned a few spells she could use from Dante, her umbra control wasn't very sharp.

She was able to produce vast amounts of energy and blast it away with her weapon, but she wasn't capable of shooting that magic whenever she wanted.

To transfer her magic into the conversion stone, there was a certain level of control that the user needed to have, and unfortunately for them, Alice couldn't do it.

Sami got a hold of the gem and tried doing it herself. Considering that her brain was a computer, she was able to grasp the concept of magic and its control quite quickly.

Still, while the cyborg was able to transfer her umbra into the gem, she didn't know the necromancer's spell to move a soul.

"Damnmit. Why didn't Imera come here with you?" Alice asked, knowing that the Sacred Beast would have already finished transferring the soul.

"She and Wolfram were looking for something inside Netherius' mansion, so Camille asked us to bring the stone here…" Lexia replied.

*Tch* "Then, we have to wait until someone else gets here…" Alice said as she walked to the edge of the room, where the hole in the wall leading to the streets was found.

"I'll help keeping Netherius busy," she continued, and without further explanation, she jumped down and joined the fight.

Megan and Zac were battered and bruised from their encounter, and the necromancer seemed surprised that they had managed to survive for that long.

While Megan relied on her speed and instincts to avoid most of his attacks, Zac took almost all of them head-on and still pushed forward.

"The berserker's resilience is astonishing! Truly, having someone like you join my ranks would be beneficial!" Netherius loudly said as bone spikes rose from the ground around him, preventing his opponents from getting close.

"And you, Megan Dunlap! Those moves are even faster than those of the Shadow-Blade assassins! Very impressive!" he continued.

"I find myself a bit short on Death Knights lately, but I'm glad I got to meet you two here."

When Netherius finished his sentence, a wave of necrotic air began to envelop the streets. Nonetheless, Megan and Zac didn't falter and kept their gazes locked on their target.

'Just a little more time… I know he will arrive,' Megan thought.
