MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Assassin-Chapter 63: Insanity
Hearing his words, the players around him also looked around and confirmed his words, their hearts beating faster as some of them even clicked their tongues in frustration.
"No wonder he is so high leveled, this player is just risking everything by going into areas no one should, he will meet his death soon." One commented as he sneered.
"Indeed, let him be, it’s not like he will be keeping his position for long in the first place, a lot of the real pro players from End Game are starting to eye the pie called Eclipse Online and many more are considering joining in," Another said, swiftly blocking the crab peircers as he slammed his shield on top of it’s head and took it down.
"Truly the case, they most likely would head inside when they see the gold value conversion to dollar which is yet to be eststimated since the auction house isn’t yet open and none reached the city," A girl wearing a black robe replied with a shrug, she then waved her hand and the protection warrior that his hp was about to fall into a critical threshold was full again.
What everyone didn’t know, however, was that Yone was even crazier than that, as his destination wasn’t even the inner party of the forest like everyone thought, but was instead the core of Lake Forest!
There was a good location to grind monsters there. Not only was there a large number of monsters, but their respawn rate was quick as well. Most importantly, the drop rate there for ore was high.
When it came to understanding of the leveling spots of anything around Crystiliazed Stone Town and Golden Gate Kingdom, Yone excelled at any of those as he spent months upon months researching all these areas and anything beyond them.
Be it the location of the monsters, the number of monsters available, or their respawn time, Yone had spent his life perfecting those as he couldn’t get any higher position in Guardians Angels and get a better salary unless he proved his worth.
Hence, with each new batch of newbies he had to train and his party aiding them while also training them, Yone had displayed increasingly better performance with each one of those batches.
Only, life was truly laughable and unpredictable, as when he thought things would get better and he would surely get a better spot at the Guardian Angels, Yone was instead kicked with his brother seemingly not having a say in the matter.
As the party moved deeper through the lush forest, big bushes and increasingly small plants that were as hard as steel, they met several goblin parties and a few spiders that leveled 6, but given their party’s gear and Yone’s leadership, such monsters were merely a walk in the park for them.
Compared to the parties’ grinding levels on the lake’s shore, their party was several times stronger and more efficient.
Silent Wall had no issue whatsoever tanking a group of 6 goblins by himself without a tank as he dodged almost all of their attacks while tanking some. His movements were getting better and better that even Yone couldn’t help but praise him inwardly.
’Truly a tank with limitless future like in my past life,’ Yone refrained from praising the guy directly as praising someone could elevate one’s ego, and ego is something that destroyed nations, much less people.
Yone simply picked up the several different fang materials and ore that dropped from both goblins and spiders, then continued deeper into Lake’s Forest. Shortly after, Yone’s party met another group of 6 goblins.
The clearing they were fighting in wasn’t wide enough for comfort. Jagged rocks and stone-like flowers made them struggle to move, and fenced off their fight. The forest canopy made the newbies more nervous as seeing any other monster around them was impossible, and taking agro had a pretty good chance of occurring.
The group held their formation following Yone’s lead, albeit barely; they still did their best and did as told.
Silent Wall, the paladin, was absorbing the full brunt. His shield arm shook under the strain of repeated hits from two goblins dual-wielding chipped blades. His HP was already down to 30%.
With no heals and his potions left, while only using his cooldowns, the pressure on him was increasing even further as sweat started forming on his forehead.
Behind him, Yone flickered in and out of visibility, his blades stabbing low and fast as he targeted only vita points in the goblins body as damages in the tens with a casual -100! critical hit! could be seen above their heads.
The warrior, Rage, swung wide with a heavy axe, cleaving one goblin in half but opening space for another to dart in.
"Left flank is leaking!" Yone shouted, spinning into a parry with his dual daggers. "Rage, shift!"
While they were busy with their fight, a sudden hiss sounded and something that everyone wished not to occur just occurred.
Hiss!
From above, two forest spiders, thick as wolves and level 7, dropped from the canopy. One landed right on top of Silent Wall’s shield, knocking him flat. The second latched onto Rage’s shoulder, biting deep into his neck.
[Poisoned] – You are losing 5 HP/sec.
"Dammit!" Rage roared, trying to shake it off, but to no avail as its fangs penetrated deep into his neck.
Yone dashed in, severed a spider’s leg, then kicked off a goblin’s head to reposition. But it wasn’t enough. The goblins were relentless. The spiders were fast as they dodged his attack and positioned themselves in fear of getting their other legs severed.
The monsters were getting intelligent by the level, and each fight with their level’s increasing was harder and harder. As for spiders? They were way smarter than goblins hence their movements and reactions.
However, given the fact that Yone’s party had no healer, Silent Wall’s health bar hit 3% as he was close to meet his demise and fall.
"No. Not like this," Silent Wall cursed, disgusted by his poor gameplay of not being able to tank 8 monsters at once.
