Chapter 45: Luck? This is Insane!

Yone couldn’t help but review his stats panel real quick as everyone was busy joyfully conversing over finishing the first boss and praising Requiem to no end.

As for his bag, except for the casual map lying inside, only two common items accompanied it, which would be given after meeting certain requirements later on, whether it be money, usefulness, and also other effects.

As he looked at his stats, he couldn’t help but smirk as he truly loved the sight of it. When he looked down at the bottom of his stats, he wasn’t surprised to find that anything related to intelligence and below, like Dexterity and Luck, didn’t gain the +5 attribute stat he got from the weapon.

Each of these three had its own use and none of them were stats that could be upgraded by normal means. For instance, Luck is a very vague stat as upgrading was nigh-impossible and only a few treasures could upgrade them to higher points.

As for their effects, none was privy to that information, and even Yone had no idea what the stat itself was used for, but from the name, he could guess that it had something with the likes of children of heaven he once read about in those novels.

’Maybe I’ll stumble upon another epic item by mistake and become one of the best players on Eclipse Online once luck is enhanced?’ He chuckled as he turned his attention to the five items he looted.

The first was the most basic loot which is a Stoneplate Bracer that gives +2 free stats on endurance, +1 Earth Resistance.

The Earth resistance is a hidden stat that no one knew of as of now, but just +1 is negligible for Yone, so he just took one of them and crashed it to equip it. The Stoneplate Bracer was a drop for everyone so everyone had a single one of these.

Next were the Minor Health Potions which were a pair of two and could be considered a huge luck for receiving two of them at the same drop rate. After all, despite its name, which is Minor Health Potion, it literally heals the player 30% of his health, no matter how many HP he has; it was basically essential for survival.

The next item was the Obsidian Ring of Tenacity, and it gave +10% Stamina Recovery plus 30% tenacity on crowd control, which means that if someone stuns him for 4 seconds, that duration will be reduced to 2.8 seconds.

Such a duration was negligible for countless people, especially the stamina recovery, but for Yone, who knew how useful those two hidden stats would be later on in the game, this item was a treasure and a must take, no matter the consequences.

Only, and the moment he inspected the last item, his heart fell and his jaw dropped. His vision blurred as he instinctively placed it in his bag and chose it to be his item.

’Holy mother of luck, an Auction Platinum Token only has less than 1% chance of dropping inside of Rocky Rock hell mode, yet such a treasure dropped from the first run?’ Yone suddenly felt that he needed to inspect his party members as one of them must have some sort of absurd luck in real life, and he needed to befriend them no matter what!

An Auction Platinum Token was an item that allowed one to use the VIP room inside any auction venue of the Golden Gate Kingdom and get a 20% discount for anything below the Rare rank. In our terms, it was a cheat code, and even Yone would kill for it if he ever found out that someone had it.

As he heard footsteps coming, he stood up and placed the items on his palm and showcased them in front of them as he was about to tell them how they should distribute the loot, but he was quickly cut off." Check the loot, guys, Calm Sea, you were the party leader so you choose ho...".

"We have already spoken about how loot should be distributed, and we all agreed that you can have it all," Life hesitated, she couldn’t lie that she was so eager to get that loot, especially after inspecting the ring, but she still held her desire and continued.

"You were basically a one-man party, and none of them can sleep the night knowing we didn’t make any sort of contribution and got such valuable items, so take them all." Everyone nodded after her words, seeming on one a decision on this matter.

Yone’s face twitched for a split second before saying," I mean, it’s nice of you to think that deeply of me, but let’s make this even fairer, I’ll take this ring and you distribute the rest of the loot for the next two bosses by yourself."

’It’s not like he needed anything else than these two items anyway, but with this move, he could at least make them feel that they owed him. It was basically a win-win situation, they get more loot than usual while he gets their help in the future and potentially recruits them.’

It’s a game, and Yone wouldn’t feel ashamed by acting under no moral jurisdiction if it meant he would maximize his benefits.

"Guy’s, you will have to distribute the loot later, we’ve got company now," Yone said as he looked at where the Boss had just died, feeling the slight movement in the air and knowing what will happen next.

In its spot, a swirling blue tornado darkened into an ominous black vortex, and what took place was a hazy, shadowy form taking form inside of it. The pressure was so terrifying that even Yone couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at such an entrance.
