MMORPG: I was BUGGED-Chapter 288: Whispers in the Mist
The air around Ragnarok Reaper crackled with tension as he furrowed his brows, contemplating the challenging situation they were in.
As the relentless tick-tock of the clock persisted, a daunting realization settled among the Castle of Doom’s inhabitants –– the method to summon the final boss remained elusive.
The impending hours dedicated to conquering the enemy was slipping away, yet the guild members found themselves ensnared in the enigma of how to draw out the elusive adversary.
Time, a precious commodity, was being squandered not only in the impending battle but also in the fruitless pursuit of unraveling the mystery that shrouded the boss’s appearance.
Just then, as if materializing from the shadows, Xin appeared next to Ragnarok Reaper.
Startled, Ragnarok Reaper turned to face X.
"X," he acknowledged, a mix of curiosity and urgency in his tone. "What’s going on? Do you have any information on how to make the boss appear?"
Xin’s expression remained stoic as he nodded. "Yes, I found a way. In five minutes, the boss will manifest. Gather your forces and be prepared to unleash your most devastating spells and skills on it the moment it appears. Force it into Berserk Mode as quickly as possible."
Ragnarok Reaper’s eyes widened. He didn’t know why he was trusting X so much and even unknowingly depending on him. "Are you sure? Do you know what monster will come out for the fog?"
Xin’s response was swift, "There’s no time for explanations now. Just trust me. Rally everyone and have your guild members ready. There’s no time to waste."
Ragnarok Reaper hesitated, his mind racing through the possible outcomes. Yet, the urgency in X’s voice and the critical nature of the situation left him with little choice. "Alright, we’ll do it your way. But tell me that we can defeat the final boss."
Xin didn’t respond, simply nodding in acknowledgment before disappearing into the shadows once again.
Stating uncertainty about the guild’s ability to overcome the final boss seemed counterproductive, as it would only dampen morale and confidence.
Opting to assert that they could indeed defeat the formidable adversary emerged as a strategic choice, aiming to bolster the team’s spirits and strengthen their resolve.
Ragnarok Reaper wasted no time. He swiftly gathered the leaders of the various guild factions, his voice cutting through the buzz of activity within the Castle of Doom.
"Listen up! We have found a way to make the boss appear. In five minutes, we attack with everything we’ve got. The goal is to force it into Berserk Mode as fast as possible. Prepare your members and be ready for anything."
"Has Maya’s team finally discovered a cure?" Steel Striker inquired, addressing no one in particular.
Doom Harbinger heaved a sigh of relief, feeling as though a heavy burden had just been lifted from his shoulders.
Fighting Bunny was so relieved that her legs were trembling. "Thank goodness."
While the leaders celebrated, anxiety permeated the solo player, including Grey Smoke.
Victor, amidst the turmoil, reflected on his brush with death. He had believed he was doomed, yet against all odds, he had survived.
The question lingered, however –– who had been his savior?
His memory was a haze of a dwarf in full armor, and the next recollection was waking up within the hall all fine.
As Victor gazed at the thick fog, an uneasy feeling crept over him. Whatever lurked in those fog-covered depths, he sensed it wouldn’t be an adversary easily conquered.
"I have a bad feeling about this," Victor muttered to himself.
The player exchanged glances, uncertainty etched on their faces, but there was no room for debate. The impending threat of the final boss had to be confronted.
As the guild leaders relayed the urgent message to their respective teams, thoughts swirled in their minds.
Skepticism lingered, and some expressed concerns, but the overwhelming consensus was to follow the guild leaders’ lead.
The clock was ticking, and the Castle of Doom echoed with the sounds of hurried preparations.
Ragnarok Reaper found himself in a similar state of uncertainty, unable to provide more information to alleviate the concerns of his members.
The lingering doubt persisted –– was there a possibility that X was deceiving them, perhaps working with another guild to sabotage their mission?
This suspicion restrained Ragnarok Reaper from openly acknowledging that it was X’s idea, wary of the potential impact on morale among the guild members.
However, he couldn’t afford to let doubt cloud his judgment. Trusting X might be their only chance at success, and everyone had to unite their forces to face the impending threat. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
With less than five minutes on the clock, the guild members stood at the ready, weapons drawn, and spells prepared.
The atmosphere within the castle shifted from chaotic uncertainty to a focused determination.
Xin reappeared beside Hilda in the Bell tower, his eyes scanning the thick fog. "It’s time," he said.
Hilda nodded.
She then close her eyes in deep concentration. The area was suddenly adorned with ancient symbols, glowing softly as the mystical energy flowed through the air.
Hilda’s hands hovered over an elaborate array inscribed on the floor. As she began to channel her powers, a soft hum echoed through the tower, and the array beneath her hands shimmered.
With a sudden surge of intensity, Hilda’s eyes snapped open, revealing a glow that mirrored the symbols around her.
The bell tower erupted in a burst of radiant light, illuminating the surroundings.
The guild members below shielded their eyes, momentarily blinded by the brilliance of the magical display.
As the light cascaded outward, it collided with the thick fog that permeated the Castle of Doom.
The fog, once an impenetrable curtain, began to condense and twist, responding to the mystical force at play.
Wisps of magical energy danced through the air, weaving into the fabric of the fog, transforming it into an unknown entity.
The atmosphere within the castle shifted as the magical forces clashed. The air warped and shimmered, creating an otherworldly spectacle.
The guild members watched in awe and trepidation. They could feel the palpable change in the environment. The once impenetrable fog now swirled and dissipated, revealing glimpses of the castle’s surroundings.
Suddenly, on the distant horizon, a swirling mass of dark, dense fog materialized, coiling ominously in the air.
