MMORPG: I was BUGGED-Chapter 231: Dance of Shadows and Blood
Xin felt a soft, chilling sensation on his neck as the Bloodcountess’s fangs sank into his skin.
The vampire’s saliva carried a potent poison that swiftly paralyzed him, causing his body to grow heavy and his eyelids to droop until he succumbed to a deep, unnatural slumber.
At that moment, he was defenseless, his life hanging by a thread. If not for Midnight Duchess’s swift intervention, Xin would have been drained of his last bit of vitality.
"Get away from him, you mosquito!" Midnight Duchess snapped, her voice echoing through the chamber. With unparalleled speed, she unleashed a barrage of strikes in the vampire’s direction, her weapon slicing through the air like a deadly dance.
The Bloodcountess withdrew her fangs from Xin’s neck, leaving behind a trickle of crimson, and she licked the blood from her lips with a sinister smile.
The taste seemed to bring her an unholy delight, and she chuckled, her laughter echoing off the stone walls of the chamber.
However, the Bloodcountess moved with an almost careless ease, sidestepping every attack as though she were toying with Midnight Duchess.
Midnight Duchess’s voice sliced through the tense air, a stark warning hanging in her words. "Be cautious, Lord Schrödinger," she said, her eyes narrowing at the devil lurking in the shadows. "It’s exceptionally swift and has the ability to siphon your HP to replenish its own."
Acknowledging her advice, Xin nodded swiftly and moved with urgency. He hastily replenished his dwindling HP reserves by downing several potions in quick succession, his eyes never leaving the elusive figure of the Bloodcountess. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Yet, despite his efforts, time seemed to blur in a whirlwind of motion. In a matter of seconds, the vampire’s assault before had drained half of his HP, leaving him stunned at the speed of the attack.
Realization dawned upon him –– he needed a strategic shift to survive this encounter.
With a grimace, Xin swiftly devised a plan. He commanded his Basic Golems to encircle him, forming an impenetrable barrier between him and the Bloodcountess.
Their stony bodies stood as a protective shield, ready to intercept any incoming attack.
In this defensive formation, Xin aimed to minimize the vampire’s access to his vulnerable spots. He calculated the optimal positions for his golems, ensuring they remained close to him at all costs.
He knew that their collective strength and unity were their greatest assets in this battle against the insidious Bloodcountess.
With the golems at his side, Xin steeled himself for the battle that was to come.
In the midst of the ancient chamber, the fight between Xin, his golems, Midnight Duchess, and the Bloodcountess began.
The atmosphere crackled with tension as the adversaries squared off, each fully aware of the lethal capabilities of their opponent.
The Bloodcountess, a sinister figure with skin as pale as snow and eyes that glowed with otherworldly crimson light, moved with an eerie grace.
Her fingers curled into claws, sharp and deadly, as she prepared to strike. The room pulsed with her malicious energy, setting the stage for a battle that would test the limits of Xin and Midnight Duchess’s abilities.
With a guttural snarl, the Bloodcountess launched her assault. Her attacks were deadly, a combination of dark spells and razor-sharp strikes. She could choose her moves strategically, casting spells or delivering powerful blows with her claws and fangs.
The room echoed with the clash of metal and the hiss of magical energy as she unleashed her devastating [Multiattack].
Xin, flanked by his golems, fought to protect himself and Midnight Duchess. His Basic Golems, Elemental Golems, and Abyssal Golems moved in unison, a formidable force against the Bloodcountess’s offensive.
They blocked the vampire’s attacks, their rocky bodies absorbing the impact, and retaliated with mighty blows of their own.
Midnight Duchess’s cloak billowed like a shadowy specter and engaged the Bloodcountess with all her speed and skill.
Her weapon blurred in the air as she parried the vampire’s strikes, her movements fluid and precise. She countered each attack with calculated strikes, aiming for vulnerable spots in the Bloodcountess’s defenses.
But even with her maximum speed, the Bloodcountess could slip a few claw marks on her skin, reducing her HP.
Every now and then, Midnight Duchess had to retreat to replenish her HP. Undeterred, the Bloodcountess bared her fangs and claws.
Her [Bite] attack was a terrifying display of her vampiric power, allowing her to grapple her victims and drain their life force.
Xin and Midnight Duchess had to remain vigilant, constantly evading her attacks and countering with their own.
The Bloodcountess, in a bizarre turn of events, seemed uninterested in Midnight Duchess’s blood, leaving her feeling both puzzled and slightly offended.
"Well, I’m not a fan of the scent of women or their blood unless they happen to be more beautiful than me," the Bloodcountess remarked with a dramatic flip of her hair.
Then, did that mean that she was ugly? Midnight Duchess’s eyes narrowed, and her face turned grim. "I’ll kill you a hundred times over. Let’s see if your dismantled body will still look beautiful after I’m done with you."
The Bloodcountess’s laughter echoed through the chamber, a haunting melody that sent shivers down the spines of all who heard it.
"Ohohoho!" she chuckled darkly. "Thousands have dared to utter those very words, believing they could challenge my might. But alas, their arrogance led them to naught but ashes and dust."
Her voice dripped with chilling confidence, a testament to the countless foes who had underestimated her.
The room darkened with her aura of power, and her eyes glowed with an otherworldly intensity, daring anyone to prove her wrong.
Yet, despite the ominous warning, there was a hint of amusement in her tone, as if she found the audacity of Midnight Duchess’s challenges rather entertaining.
The Bloodcountess’s [Feast] ability added an element of dread to the battle. When she targeted a creature with 100 hit points or lower, her strike was lethal.
The victim was reduced to nothingness in an instant, while the Bloodcountess absorbed their life force, revitalizing herself in the process.
So, it was crucial to remain at optimum health.
The room trembled with the force of her strikes, each blow threatening to tip the balance of the battle.
