Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva-Chapter 400 - 138 Summer in Yuanting
The melodious flute echoed through the air with its varied tunes, like birds in the midst of summer flitting through the forests, full of vivacity and cheer.
When Tilan returned to the mountains of Northern First District, she was greeted by the long-missed gentle breeze; the wind lifted her wide summer dress from time to time, and her sunhat seemed as if it would take off at any moment.
Walking across the campus, birds occasionally flew overhead in flocks, while many students strolled along the roadside with their companions. Several large dogs with coats of deep grey and snow white circled around a girl, attracted by the bell in her hands, and a senior student commanded six swallows in intricate aerial maneuvers with a whistle. A freshman, much like the younger girl, gleefully rode a brown-haired large boar along the path.
Compared to the competitive Edith Academy, this place seemed like a paradise, probably because the work of a Breeder, playing with animals, was considered an essential part of the job.
When she returned to the Ring Bird Wind Tower and pushed open the door, a young girl saw a shadow drop from the ceiling and embrace her face; if it weren’t for her familiarity with the giant spider, an ordinary person would have probably been scared sick.
"Alright, alright, I won’t leave you here next time. Look what this is, a new toy I bought for you~" The girl cooed like one would with a child, taking the large spider off her and placing it on the table, then she brought out a black crystal ball.
The black crystal ball stored the girl’s refined Withering Sequence magic power and emitted a soft and restrained glow that attracted the large spider on the table.
"How about that, impressive, right? If you phase your body, you could live inside it," the girl gently urged, making the large spider excited.

Knowing that her gaze would make the proud creature hesitate, the girl chuckled and turned her back, then she went to another corner of the room to find the hibernating Indigo Snake.
Already at Sequence 4, huh? Watching the cradle where the Indigo Snake gave off a distinct aura as it awoke, the girl blinked and observed its abilities closely.

This child, how did she also pick up bad habits? Not long ago, she was such a sunny character, the girl thought, stroking the snake’s head.
As a Sunlight Snake, she was supposed to have a very positive personality, yet she chose invisibility abilities when advancing.
As the young girl contemplated, the snake and the spider before her seemed to develop some friction, confronting each other with bared fangs and claws, hissing and screeching. The Indigo Snake used to be incapable of defeating the large spider and thus dared not to contend, but now that it was slowly catching up in strength, it naturally wanted to fight for some rights.
In the past, because the large spider could hide in Tilan’s shadow, the girl would always take it out instead of the Indigo Snake when leaving home. Although it was never explicitly stated, the little creature seemed to have realized something. Now that it had evolved and acquired a similar ability to invisibility, it naturally didn’t plan to give up its spot anymore.
Watching the Silver Scales on the Indigo Snake’s body grow increasingly bright, and the room getting hotter, while the large spider’s figure turned vaguely mystical with a dark purple glow emerging on its claws, Tilan had no choice but to intervene between the two.
"Bonk—"
A sound as if two little hammers were striking their heads echoed, following which the gem on the Indigo Snake’s forehead instantly cooled down, and a layer of white frost coated the large spider.
"I’m still here, you two, no fighting in the dorm," the girl chided, knocking again and ensuring they calmed down before she stood up.
Speaking of which, she also had another pet. With that thought, Tilan summoned the large spider back into her shadow, then let the Indigo Snake coil around her arm and turn invisible before she left the room.
After walking out past the small hill of the Ring Bird Wind Tower, she found the Sunlight Fish she had previously nurtured by a water pool behind the hill. It had evolved from the Primordial Sequence 2 - Silverstone Fish to the Natural Sequence 3 - Levitation Brave Fish. It was zipping through the woods by the lake, munching on small, plump red fruits. Upon spotting Tilan, it immediately jumped into the water to hide, clearly still a bit afraid of its former master, especially since the girl had once pinned it to a cutting board.
"Alright, come on out. I’m just here to visit today; I won’t catch you and take you back," the girl said, bending over by the lake’s edge, searching for the creature’s whereabouts.
However, after a few minutes, there was still no movement on the surface of the lake.
"If you don’t come out now, I’ll get mad," she said, smiling as she raised her finger. A light blue spark appeared, lowering the water’s temperature by several degrees.
Perhaps driven by a certain instinctual fear, a silver flying fish leapt out of the water, reflecting bits of brilliance in the bright sunshine, then swam a circle near the surface before approaching the girl.
"Mmm, that’s a good boy," the girl observed the flying fish closely, feeling it had grown stronger than before, likely due to living a happy and content life.
Since it had acquired the ability to fly, it could move among the various lakes in Yuanting Academy, playing and searching for delicious foods, unlike before when it was confined to one place. Your next journey awaits at novelbuddy
"Not bad, I’ll give you this as a reward," the girl said, opening her hand. She tossed a transparent, shining square crystal into the fish’s mouth for it to swallow.
This crystal was a kind of highly condensed purified Magic Power, benefiting transcendent beings in many ways, whether for recovery or evolution, or even just to store its energy, making it an excellent choice.
"I’ll come to see you again later."
After waving goodbye to the free-spirited flying fish, Tilan headed towards the deep Cold Pool at the back of the Academy. This was a place seldom visited by people, shrouded in water mist year-round, with paths into it that were difficult for the average person to find.
After winding through the area for a while, the girl once again arrived at the edge of the Cold Pool. But now, the pool had taken on a summery character with many uniquely shaped ice bowl flowers floating on the surface. This seemed to be some sort of improved variety, similar to water lilies, with white petals containing faint blue stamens. In the middle of the pool, she once again ’saw’ that Ghost Princess sleeping within the ice crystal.
The reason for such a description is because to outsiders, it might just appear as a big block of ice emitting cold air, harrowingly empty and crystal clear.
However, in Tilan’s eyes, the sleeping Ghost Princess inside was so distinct and beautiful.
"I’m back, Teacher."
After being away for nearly half a year, Tilan returned to this place.
