Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva-Chapter 1585 - 65: The Sin of Blasphemy
Holy White Melody, Laidid Star Domain.
Below the shuttlecraft was an expanse of white cloudscape, with the shapes of the clouds exceptionally distinct. Against their backdrop, the shuttlecraft appeared particularly small, like an inconspicuous dot in a grand and luminous painting, disappearing from sight if not closely observed.
At this moment, the shuttlecraft gradually flew into the cloud layer. The scenery outside the window was shrouded in white, until several seconds later, it emerged from the clouds again, charging into that distant world below.
The altitude grew lower and lower, and Tilan could already clearly see the landscape of this land from the side window of the shuttlecraft.
The building designs here were peculiar, with a certain avant-garde novelty reminiscent of humanity’s early expansion, yet when viewed now, seemed both retro and innocent, as if looking back at the visage of early humanity.
The high-rise buildings twisted into rings, the curved rail lines of the shuttle buildings, the boat-shaped skyscrapers on the ground, all filled with childlike wonder like an amusement park, yet carrying a tinge of ancient air.
The shuttlecraft slowly landed on the tarmac. There weren’t many people there to welcome them, probably only a hundred or so, but in this sparsely populated city, there was a subtle sense of grandeur.
"Welcome, Miss Tilan. I am Selia." The girl greeting her was a nun dressed in a uniform with a black base and white headscarf, on which there was a clover symbol, the emblem of the Three Saints.
Behind this High Rank nun were other personnel dressed in the same style of uniforms. Everyone was very quiet as they bowed together, then followed behind the leading nun.
"Hello, Selia." Tilan returned the bow courteously, then her gaze slowly swept across the scene, curiously observing everything.
"Please follow me, Miss Tilan." Afterwards, she guided Tilan.
Walking through the short passageway, there were nuns in black and white uniforms bowing with raised skirts on both sides, then Tilan entered the prepared black long car and drove away from the tarmac.
Along the way, this elongated hover car first took Tilan on a tour around the city before driving into that magnificent building, which looked more like a cathedral than a high-rise.
Inside, it was indeed so. Three enormous statues about 300 meters high were embedded inside the building, encircling into a semicircle, overlooking below. Their forms were sacred and merciful, their postures vivid and lifelike, as if singing with closed eyes, or praying.
Among the Three Saints, Melaillo was on the right, depicted as a not-yet-grown girl, appearing about 15 years old, her face slightly round with lingering childlike innocence. In the sculpted image, her back foot was raised in a light dancing pose.
Metrid was in the center, depicted as a girl with traditional three-strand braids, appearing around 20 years old, holding a book, her glasses on her nose. In the sculpted image, one hand pressed the book to her chest while the other spread open, displaying a moving singing voice.
Monedisa was on the left, her depiction much more mature, appearing about 28 years old. At this moment, her gaze was fixed on her two companions opposite, showing a gentle smile. In her arms lay a greatsword shining brilliantly, one hand gripping the hilt, the other gently stroking the blade as if caressing a musical instrument in harmony.
At the end of the Fifth Epoch, they were among the experimental subjects of a large research institute under the rule of the Black Sun, which researched and modified newborn races. At the time, there were tens of thousands of experimental subjects of the same status as them.
Their lives there were meticulously arranged by the researchers, as if living in a false world, while a few of the experimental subjects realized the truth from this illusory life.
To escape from this unknown and oppressive environment, they conducted many struggles and attempts, ultimately to prevent themselves from being assimilated by the innate telepathy ability of the newborn races. They sought and researched a completely new secret technique. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
This was a secret technique to close off the mind, preventing their mental consciousness from being assimilated and infected by the group. Because of this, they broke free from the researchers’ management, slowly building power, until one day they led their companions to overthrow the institute’s management and rule.
Unfortunately, after the overthrow, they discovered a more brutal truth of this world from the institute’s database, an era of endless darkness and despair. This space station where they resided was but a speck of insignificant dust within it.
Knowing they couldn’t escape such a world, and that soon fleets to suppress them would arrive, in the last few days, the three of them decided to broadcast this secret technique across the entire Galaxy Star Sea. Such an act was akin to announcing their location to everyone.
Their actions startled and enraged several Black Suns, and subsequently, many suppressing fleets departed one after another to extinguish this awakening noise.
After the three of them broadcasted the secret technique to cut off telepathy, they spent their last month in peaceful time. Afterwards, the arriving Black Sun fleet destroyed this space station, and to ensure all three were killed, the Black Sun fleet first dispatched specialized combat personnel to land on the space station, slaughtering all surviving experimental subjects before sinking this space station into the depths of a star, turning all matter and wreckage into flying smoke.
In the resistance, Metrid was injured first, her abdomen scorched and pierced by a light saber, weakly collapsing in her companion’s arms. Next was Monedisa, the nun wielding the greatsword, who felled countless landing cleanup personnel, but eventually succumbed to exhaustion and was shot to death. Finally, there was Melaillo, the youngest nun, who embraced Metrid’s body and jumped into the space station’s nuclear reactor, causing it to explode and kill many landing cleanup personnel.
