Chapter 639: Chapter 0639: Spirit Stone Vein_1

Master Xueyin shot Zhang Bin a fierce glance before continuing their descent, allowing him to take his liberties.

Of course, Zhang Bin didn’t dare go too far. This woman was too fierce, too powerful. A single misstep might mean he couldn’t walk away unscathed. So, he only dared to wrap his arms around her waist, keenly feeling the astonishing vitality and the strange sensation.

In this way, they passed through one door after another, descending an unfathomable distance. Two hours passed, yet the vertical shaft seemed to have no end.

Both Zhang Bin and Master Xueyin were shocked. The shaft was far too deep, possibly hundreds of kilometers. Creating such a hole was impossible with Earth’s current technology, so it must have been made with technological devices from Remote Antiquity. This made them even more curious: what did the Black Bell want with such a hole?

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A thunderous noise grew more distinct. The passageway became scorchingly hot as the temperature rose rapidly.

"Master, we’ve reached the magma layer ahead," Tutu’s voice rang out in Zhang Bin’s mind. "It seems this tunnel goes right through it. That noise is the sound of magma churning and flowing."

"My god, this is incredible." Zhang Bin was so astounded he nearly lost his wits. Not even a cultivator who had reached Nascent Soul Realm Great Perfection could pass through a magma layer. The temperature was too high, the pressure immense, and its tumultuous flow was terrifying in the extreme. Even a Middle-Grade Magical Treasure would likely melt. Only a Body Integration Realm Cultivator could pass through the magma layer to reach the true Earth Core in search of Spirit Stones and special materials.

"This is the magma layer, and the temperature is very high. You should go back into the Flying Saucer," Master Xueyin said coldly, though her words were a clear sign of concern.

Zhang Bin certainly felt it, which only puzzled him more. Master Xueyin isn’t as bloodthirsty as the legends claim. Could it be that she’s developed feelings for me? That she’s fallen in love with me?

He didn’t dare to dwell on the thought, since Master Xueyin could read minds. Shaking his head, he said, "It’s fine, I can handle it."

"You have cultivated to the Golden Core Realm, but you progressed too quickly and haven’t truly comprehended the ways of Heaven and Earth," Master Xueyin said indifferently. "You should spend some time cultivating in the ocean. That might allow you to grasp the Water System Dao Law and the Ice System Law, and then heat like this wouldn’t bother you."

As she finished speaking, a frigid aura emanated from her body, enveloping Zhang Bin and completely shielding him from the heat. Then, she carried him and descended rapidly.

Soon, they reached the magma zone. Although the tunnel itself was free of magma, the intense heat radiated through its special material, causing the walls to glow a dazzling red. The terrifying heat began to swiftly dissipate the icy aura protecting them.

"Hold on to me tightly," Master Xueyin said in a stern voice, though a closer look would reveal a faint blush spreading across her cheeks.

Zhang Bin held her tightly from behind. Instantly, he felt as if he were embracing a block of ice, easily withstanding the fearsome heat.

However, Zhang Bin’s thoughts began to wander. If Master Xueyin were dressed as a nun, he might not have been so moved. But now, she was dressed like a modern, glamorous woman, utterly enchanting. Holding her from behind like this... the feeling was just too thrilling. A certain part of his body immediately began to react...

Fortunately, Master Xueyin sped up, moving as fast as a shooting star. In just a few breaths, they had passed through the magma region. After all, it was impossible to station guards in such a place, allowing her to pass through unimpeded.

The doors below became much less frequent, so their descent quickened. Another hour passed before they finally reached the end of the passage, where they both froze, utterly stunned.

Before them lay a massive, open space filled with fresh air, sustained by green plants growing on the ground. The space was illuminated by many lighthouse-like structures that emitted a glow as bright as the Sun. Many buildings had been constructed here as well, though most of them were warehouses.

Some robots were actually mining, constantly digging in the surrounding area. Chunks of Spirit Stones were being excavated, all of them crystal clear. Although not as high-quality as the Top-Grade Spirit Stones Zhang Bin could gather with his Qi gathering technique, they were far superior to Low-Grade Spirit Stones—clearly, these were all Middle-Grade Spirit Stones.

Those warehouses were filled with piles of them. Rows of specially made carts continuously transported the mined Spirit Stones into the warehouses.

"My heavens! This is a large Middle-Grade Spirit Stone mine... right in the Earth Core!" Master Xueyin was so shocked she nearly lost her mind, her face overcome with wild ecstasy. "Zhang Bin, we must take control of this place! Its value is immeasurable. It can greatly enhance the strength of our Chinese Cultivators."

Zhang Bin was equally thrilled. Although he could produce Top-Grade Spirit Stones, the quantity was limited. If he could secure this Spirit Stone mine, it would be immensely significant for him. At the very least, he could use them to cultivate medicinal herbs or exchange them for Spiritual Medicine.

"Heh heh... we’re rich, truly rich this time. Sneaking in here wasn’t in vain," Zhang Bin chuckled slyly. "Now I finally understand why the Black Bell Assassin Organization is so powerful. Not only do they have the evil Heaven-Defying Divine Skill that allows geniuses to rapidly accumulate True Qi and cultivate to a very powerful level. But once they reach the Nascent Soul Realm, they have to start cultivating True Qi on their own to avoid major hidden dangers. With a massive amount of Spirit Stones, their cultivation is naturally rapid."

"They might also be using Spirit Stones to help ordinary Cultivators cultivate True Qi," Master Xueyin said. "Then they gather that True Qi and transfer it into the bodies of certain geniuses. That’s how they can nurture talent so quickly, and why their organization is so terrifyingly powerful."

"We’ve probably only seen the tip of the iceberg of Black Bell’s operations. They could be cultivating Spiritual Medicine or something of the sort elsewhere," Zhang Bin speculated. "This organization is truly formidable."

"Yes, we must be even more careful," Master Xueyin said, barely able to contain her excitement. "So, what’s our next move? Should we take some Spirit Stones with us?" Her beautiful eyes shone with a feverish light, fixed upon the mountain-like pile of Middle-Grade Spirit Stones, unable to look away.

"Don’t you find it strange? There are no guards here, only robots?" Zhang Bin asked, a puzzled expression on his face.

"Not strange at all. Not in the slightest," an icy voice rang out as a woman wearing a Golden Mask appeared before them like a ghost. "It’s not that there are no guards; it’s that you can’t see us."

Behind her stood more than a thousand powerful Assassins. All of them had cultivated to the Golden Core Realm, and there were even ten Nascent Soul Stage experts among them. They all stared at Zhang Bin and Master Xueyin as if they were looking at dead men, their faces filled with ferocious grins.

Clearly, this was a trap. A terrifying trap
