Federation, California, West Foothills of the Sierra Nevada, Yosemite National Park.

The park, spanning approximately 1,100 square miles, once famed for its California Redwood Forest, had been completely cleared. Creeks and waterfalls had become trenches, while cliffs were outfitted with firing positions. Rugged pathways once suitable for tourists had been flattened into broad avenues by road rollers. Small animals were driven away by the roaring sounds of drilling, and the soft glacial soil was dug up as a network of underground defense fortifications began to be constructed at an astonishing pace.

Freight trucks incessantly delivered batches of hot weapons to this terrestrial paradise. Two Federal Army corps were stationed here. Supported by strong logistics and technology, they transformed Yosemite National Park into a military fortress in just a few days.

Although the entire world was suffering from the Otherworldly Invasion, there was no doubt that the enemy encountered by the Federal Armed Forces in Yosemite National Park, and the battles they underwent, were unmatched globally. According to joint scouting by the Federal Soothsayers and the Space Monks of the Mysterious Country, Yosemite National Park was likely a 'relatively weak' part of space-time.

Space and time possess objectivity and are inseparable from matter in motion.

In the observations of some Transcendents, space is not anchored to 'points of nothingness;' rather, it is inseparable from 'actual things.' It is matter that gives space its meaning, not space that contains matter.

It is because of matter's coordinates that space's relative coordinates can be determined. According to this theory, the coordinates defined by Yosemite Park are obvious and easy to locate, making it likely that Otherworldly enemies would invade Earth from this point.

Although this theory currently lacks any falsifiability, war does not wait for one to be fully prepared before it erupts. Hence, based on this theory, the Federation had turned Yosemite National Park into a frontline battlefield, striving to deliver a painful blow to the enemy in the next Otherworldly Invasion.

Even the most dovish politicians harbored no thoughts of negotiation. Peace demands equal strength, but the current situation was completely unequal. The Otherworld could invade them anytime and anywhere, yet they knew nothing of the Otherworld's main base, nor did they possess any clear information about the Otherworld!

Nothing is more infuriating than only being able to take a beating.

In comparison to Earth, which is still developing Spiritual Energy Technology, the Otherworld, having mastered dimensional traversal, already stood on invincible ground!

Language barriers were a minor issue; the real problem was that not even nuclear bombs could be sent over. Negotiating for peace now would undoubtedly be pleading for mercy. While other regions might negotiate, the Federation, directly facing the Otherworldly army's assault, could not afford to beg for mercy! Before any talk of negotiation, they would suffer the most severe losses!

Therefore, they must fight!

To seek peace through war, to seek calmness through bloodshed!

They had to strike the enemy hard and capture them to learn their language and culture. On that basis, they could then negotiate peace or even seize the opportunity to learn the Otherworld's traversal technology, biding their time to slowly erode and eventually engulf the Otherworld!

Just like the War of Independence two hundred years ago, the financial titans of Wall Street had now set their sights on that enigmatic Otherworld. Greed is their inexhaustible driving force, and with a brand-new world before them—technology, land, resources, wealth...even if it means sacrificing the lives of millions of soldiers, they must carve an opening into the Otherworld!

For the Watchers and for the soldiers, this is a righteous war of defending their homeland!

For the global Supernatural Organizations, it was also a great opportunity to obtain Otherworld intelligence with the Federation's support!

For this reason, almost all major Supernatural Organizations worldwide had sent representatives to Yosemite National Park to participate in the battle as reinforcements, fulfilling their offensive and defensive alliance obligations, while also gaining first-hand intelligence!

"I, Roy, on behalf of the Federation, offer our sincere thanks for your international aid and support." Aurora Roy stood up during the Transcendents' conference and bowed deeply to all the foreign Transcendents.

In fact, compared to Angel Zack with his fierce appearance, Roy with his sinister face was more suited to the leadership role of the Watchers. Unfortunately, when compared to Zack's history of being beaten up twice, Roy's history was even worse—he had been captured by the Mysterious Country.

You Jiu teased him about this daily, and even if Roy didn't care, the Federal Government had to consider the impact. If beforehand Roy became the murderous Pallbearer because it was his preference, now he had no choice but to see it through—unless he could wash away this disgrace.

This time, Angel Zack did not step forward, leaving Roy in complete command over the Watchers and the Pallbearers, giving him a chance and a test from the Federation.

If Roy could lead the Transcendents and coordinate with the military to defeat the Otherworldly enemy this time, he would be able to cleanse his past shame and once again become the hero of the Pallbearers!

Although Roy had no interest in replacing Angel Zack—he was content with his Pallbearer identity—he didn't want his failure to bring shame to the Pallbearers. He wasn't trying to prove how great he was; he wanted to show the world that what he had lost, he would personally reclaim!

"This is a major event for the defense of Earth, and Iron Sun will give its all to assist the Federation against the Otherworldly enemies!" Dai Ze, "Shadow," was the first to respond.

You Jiu scoffed, "Sucking up again."

"Ugh... as long as it's not a death sentence, Winter Castle is willing to take orders from the Federation." Ursa, "Thunder Bear," put down a cup of oolong tea and belched.

You Jiu scoffed, "Drinking again."

"Martial Soul Hall is willing to fight for the defense of Earth and assist the Federation in confronting the Otherworldly enemy! We will not bring shame upon Flourishing Sakura!" Sakura Kyoko, "Gun Supreme," stated firmly.

You Jiu scoffed, "Still so short."

Kadell glanced at You Jiu and remained silent.

Yet You Jiu still scoffed at him, "Showing off again."

Roy really couldn't stand it anymore and, tugging at the corner of his mouth, he asked, "Taoist You Jiu, do you know these Transcendents?"

Before You Jiu could speak, the other four immediately responded, "We don't know him!"

"I don't know them either." You Jiu shrugged. "But there's always this strange feeling of déjà vu, as if I have collaborated with you all before."

Roy couldn't help but laugh. "Oh? And was our Federation still in charge of leading then?"

After thinking seriously, You Jiu actually nodded and said, "Indeed, I feel like in the past collaborations, the Federation still took on the leadership responsibility."

"Then I suppose the collaboration in your fantasy was a huge success, then?" Roy asked.

"No, the collaboration seemed to have failed completely, and the person in charge from the Federation must have died a gruesome death," You Jiu said as if it were true.

Everyone's faces darkened. Mocking the Federation was one thing, but if this collaboration failed, it meant Earth was doomed!

Roy, too lazy to bicker with You Jiu's shamelessness, continued the meeting. "The entire Federation has been mobilized. Although we don't know when the second Otherworldly Invasion will occur, the Federation will continuously supply resources here and build up defenses."

"Large-scale battles will be handled by the Federal Army. However, almost all Otherworldly enemies possess an aggressive form of spatial teleportation. The Federation needs us, the Transcendents, to secure the defense lines, deal with any Otherworldly enemies who breach them, and help maintain the army's concentrated firepower output..."

Roy pressed a button on the table, and a three-dimensional projection of the terrain of Yosemite Park appeared above the conference table.

With such a visual display, Roy used every trick in the book to explain the battle plan clearly and simply, assigning roles to the Transcendents of all forces. As world peace was at stake, You Jiu didn't interject this time and quietly accepted the orders from the Federation.

Finally, Roy looked at the powerful Transcendents assembled in the meeting. He composed himself and said earnestly,

"This time, Earth faces the most severe foreign invasion in its history. We don't know why they were able to find Earth in the vast universe, nor do we know their true motives for invading. But we know one thing for certain: Earth is our home, and we have no place to retreat!"

"They are enemies with technology far superior to ours. They possess mysterious and unpredictable teleportation abilities and wield powerful weapons from a system different from our own. They have Defense Barriers capable of resisting gunfire. They are the embodiment of violence, the messengers of destruction, the heralds of doom!"

"Even we Transcendents, or fully armed soldiers, may not withstand their attacks, let alone unarmed civilians?"

"The Otherworldly Invasion isn't just a problem for the Federation; it's a problem for the entire world! Yet, the Federation is willing to pay a greater price, to spare no expense in halting the Otherworldly enemies' advance, to intercept them here in California for the sake of the whole world!"

"Deities will not save us! Miracles will not protect us! To guard Earth and our nations, we can only rely on ourselves!"

"A new storm is on the horizon, and it is Earth that we shall protect!"

"Everyone!" Roy, his voice resonating with passion, raised his right fist high and shouted, "This war—we must win!"

"Let us fight for those who cannot fight!"

All stood, raising their right fists and chanting in unison, "For those who cannot fight!"

At that moment, regardless of gender, race, or skin color, everyone was fired up!

The immense sense of responsibility became the driving force for their struggle, and a sense of historical mission made them no longer fear death and war!

Watching this scene, Roy knew he had already completed half of his path to washing away his shame! The other half required him to lead the Transcendents, assist the Federal Army in striking a fierce blow against the Otherworld enemies, and make significant contributions to resisting the Otherworldly Invasion. If he succeeded, he would become the Federation's dark hero, a new idol for countless young people, and the cover figure of Time magazine! He could completely draw a line with his past. His status would surpass that of Angel Zack, who had been thrashed twice by a monkey and a mysterious figure. The Pallbearers he led would become the pride of the Federation!

Amidst this enthusiastic atmosphere, only You Jiu, who didn't understand English, was looking down at his phone.

As he was fiddling with it, a new notification suddenly popped up on the screen. He let out a small exclamation—

"Ren Naiser released a new video? It's named... 'Annals of the Otherworld Empire's Demise'?"

In an instant, everyone fell silent.

Aurora Roy was aghast. "What!?"
