MIGHT AS WELL BE OP-Chapter 1045: At The Dragon Domain
Anthony stared at the last text he had sent Bryan. He smiled, then dropped his phone on the bed which he was on as he stared at the ceiling. Although he could have told Bryan he was coming at that very moment since he had nothing doing, he had told the Dragon boy he would be there in an hour, so that the boy could handle whatever needed to be handled within that time, giving him space to prepare.
After all, not everyone from a powerful family was as free as him. His parents were simply too lenient with him, and he didn’t have any family heir duties to attend to, allowing him a level of freedom that many others could never dream of.
’Should I contact the Storm Brothers and the prideful vampire named Tiara?’ Anthony thought to himself, but after a moment of consideration, he shook his head.
’I will hold off for now, I will text them when I meet with Bryan first,’ he concluded without much thought. ’It seems I will be exploring the Vampire Domain, the Dragon Domain, and the Titan Domain in a while,’ he mused to himself, the thought carrying a faint sense of anticipation.
Since his reincarnation, he had never been to these places despite being able to go there whenever he wanted. ’At least they can show me around,’ he thought to himself as time blurred while he waited, the minutes slipping by almost unnoticed.
’I wonder what Mana Rank they are at right now,’ Anthony mused to himself as he remained motionless on his bed, his thoughts wandering idly.
’Bryan and the rest had all basically broken through to the S rank while they were still in the first year, but now, they should have at least climbed three or four major Mana Ranks, right?’ he thought to himself as anticipation bubbled faintly within his chest, a rare feeling.
Anthony didn’t know when last he had felt this much anticipation, as he found himself genuinely excited to meet his friends again after such a long time. With more time to kill, he picked up his phone from the bed to watch a movie as time rolled forward, passing steadily.
Minutes passed, and an hour finally went by. Anthony rose from his bed with a yawn. After stretching for a moment, he simply willed a portal open. He didn’t need to ask Bryan where he was; through his Authority of Information, he could find out such things effortlessly. As the portal leading to Bryan’s current position opened, Anthony stepped through it without hesitation, and with that, he traveled light-years with ease, crossing vast distances in an instant.
Back on the Blue Planet, within the Dragon Domain, within an open space, a group of Dragons could be seen standing together. They were Iserios, Bryan, Heinz, Right, and a few Dragon guards, all positioned with a sense of order and expectation.
They were all waiting, their eyes shifting towards the sky as they expected Anthony to arrive in a ship or aircraft of some kind. But then suddenly, a portal tore open before them, causing some of them to frown slightly, as none of them had even felt space shift or even the Mana within the air respond to the opening, something that should have been impossible.
From the portal, a boy standing six foot eight stepped out with a calm expression on his face, his appearance bearing something even perfection utterly failed to describe. Even his sky-blue eyes seemed to make the sky, which was the origin of that blue color, appear inferior in comparison.
Dragons, who took immense pride in their own innate charm and beauty, seemed to pause momentarily at the boy’s outrageous features, their composure subtly shaken.
It was Null Anthony.
Anthony stood stunned as he gazed at the sight before him. He had expected to arrive somewhere like Bryan’s room, or the living room, or any chamber where only the two of them would be, only to be met with a gathering of powerful Dragons, both old and young.
Although stunned, it didn’t show on his face. His Emperor Demeanor skill seemed to activate instantly, his presence adjusting subtly.
"We finally meet again, Null Anthony, seems like yesterday when you were still getting ready to step out," Iserios stated with a small smile as he walked forward, referring to the time Anthony was preparing to leave for the Starborn Tournament, which had been the first time they had met.
"Indeed, it seems like yesterday. Thank you for your help and protection at the time, Dragon Emperor," Anthony replied with a faint smile on his face. Although Iserios hadn’t gone to the Starborn Tournament personally, he had still volunteered to go if no one else wanted to, a gesture Anthony had not forgotten.
If Anthony wanted, he could have simply referred to the Dragon Emperor by name, but since others were present, he chose not to, maintaining proper decorum.
Nobody dared to speak. They simply allowed the Emperor and the human, referred to as the Heaven’s Favourite Child, to converse first without interruption.
"I believe you are acquainted with my sons, my first son, Prince Von Heinz, and my second son, Prince Von Bryan," the Dragon Emperor introduced with a calm smile, his tone measured.
Anthony simply nodded and shook hands with Heinz. He didn’t have any real impression of the man, as he had only seen him once before in his life; this was merely their second encounter.
"We meet again after five years, Bryan," Anthony spoke as a wide smile appeared on his face as he shook Bryan’s hand. Unlike the normal handshake he had with Heinz, he and Bryan performed a different type of handshake they had created during their time at the Omni Peak Academy, a small but meaningful gesture of familiarity.
After Anthony exchanged greetings, Iserios Von Deathwrath spoke once again, "Let’s head in, I can show you around the castle," he stated, not bothering to introduce anyone else aside from his sons, not even his supposed right-hand man, as such introductions were unnecessary in his eyes.
With that, they walked into Iserios’ huge castle. It was far bigger than anything Anthony had ever seen in his life in terms of sheer size, which was understandable given the massive size of Dragon forms.
As Anthony walked, he could feel the gazes of the guards and a few Dragons who walked behind him, staring at him with faint yet unmistakable acceptance and reverence. Anthony wasn’t surprised or confused by their behavior; he understood that despite their pride, Dragons were a race that respected strength and power above all else, and he, Anthony, had demonstrated that power a few months ago.
Anthony couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. He had only wanted to visit Bryan, not whatever this had turned into. But he would save the Emperor’s face and allow the man to proceed with whatever he had planned for an hour or two before he carried out his own purpose for coming.
His eyes shifted across every design, carving, painting, and mural on the walls, every artifact and every jewel. He observed all of them carefully, as Dragons had a well-known habit of hoarding such treasures. Although he looked at everything, his face remained expressionless, as he had seen individuals with far greater wealth than this, Amara and Klaus being perfect examples of such overwhelming affluence.
