Merchant From Earth in the Magical World-Chapter 446 - 372: Wheat Field_1
Yan Xing certainly knew that Max—that is, Kayron—was very strong. He could easily grant the Witches’ Aid Society these powers and even change their bodily structures—something Yan Xing couldn’t even begin to comprehend.
Previously, he had thought all these were mechanisms of the Magic World. Yet, as the Deep Space Whisperer’s database analyzed the world, it seemed very likely that part of the Magic World had been created. A conversion mechanism between energy and matter played a vital role within it.
The Nine-Headed Dragon had this ability. Now, they had discovered Kayron possessed this ability too.
This was Yan Xing’s understanding of the power of gods... Words become law; creation and annihilation rested within a single thought.
Did he want to possess such power? Of course, he did.
Beneath Heize City in the Thunderous Swamp, research on the Nine-Headed Dragon was underway. And in the real world, they had discovered the existence of Kayron...
The risk of releasing him was significant, but the prospective rewards were even greater. Yan Xing felt the risk was worth taking.
And for the potential dangers they might have to face in the future, it was better to plan and prepare in advance.
"Do as I say in this matter!" Yan Xing didn’t explain anything to Feng Tingyue. In an unusually firm tone, he added, "You must stop any independent investigation into the Witches’ Aid Society. If you feel it’s difficult to explain this to your company’s leadership, I can take the lead in establishing a cooperative institution with the Witches’ Aid Society. Within that institution, you can do what they allow."
Yan Xing’s tone left no room for negotiation.
Feng Tingyue didn’t know what he and Max had discussed during their absence, but their combined force was more than Renlun Investment Bank could confront directly.
In such a case, cooperation was better than digging too deeply and putting everyone in an awkward predicament.
"Fine," Feng Tingyue said. "I’ll report what happened here to the company leaders. The company will respect you and cooperate with you. Can we take the video materials and physical objects we’ve collected?"
"You may..." Yan Xing replied.
The materials in Feng Tingyue’s group’s hands were from the previous Baron Max. Yan Xing simply didn’t want them investigating *this* Baron Max.
In the time that followed, Max adapted very well to his new identity. Although many things in the manor were new to him, social hierarchy, he found, was consistent throughout history. All he needed to do was reassure the manor’s servants by promising them money and pledging to request that the Demon God grant them strength. Then he could issue orders.
By evening, all traces of the battles within the manor had been cleared away, and a grand banquet was prepared on time. But no one spoke during the banquet, and the awkward atmosphere persisted until it ended.
Max spent the night in the manor.

Lao Guan drove Feng Tingyue, Little Li, and Tong Yitong away, along with the materials they had collected.
Yan Xing, however, stayed behind. He wanted to help Max understand this world—so vastly different from how it was a few hundred years ago. He had also become deeply interested in the manor’s collection of ancient books and its old castle.
The Witches’ Aid Society possessed a legacy stretching back nearly a thousand years. Many of the books here were unique works not found elsewhere. Some chronicled the history of eras when witches were prevalent, while others contained records related to magic and alchemy. Yan Xing was most interested in materials related to the Demon God Kayron.
Baron Max gave Yan Xing free rein in the manor, allowing him to do anything he wanted. This was because Baron Max had become captivated by a modern civilization he could never have previously imagined. He no longer needed to fly himself; by simply taking an airplane, he could comfortably reach anywhere in the world. Opening his phone revealed a deluge of information, allowing him to witness events unfolding in any corner of the world. And there were vast amounts of television shows and movies to watch. He could choose any genre he liked.
After only two days in the manor, Max felt that his former enjoyment of playing with souls was merely a low-brow amusement conceived out of sheer boredom. Yes... Compared to the entertainment of the modern world, life in the Middle Ages had been utterly dull. Especially considering he had been locked up for centuries before his release.
So, Max took his private plane and departed. He couldn’t stand the ancient atmosphere of the manor; he yearned for the big city. He left the manor to Yan Xing. Every day, Max would post numerous photos of his extravagant lifestyle on his private social media. The deceased Baron Max’s fortune was more than enough for him to squander at will.
Yan Xing realized he hadn’t released a troublemaking Demon God, but rather a pleasure-seeking playboy.
As long as he didn’t cause trouble, that would be fine.
Yan Xing continued to focus his energy on the manor’s books and the castle ruins on the hill behind it, which also contained many valuable items.
Feng Tingyue quickly received feedback from the executives at Renlun Investment Bank. Yan Xing and Max now represented a level of power completely different from the world’s existing systems. Renlun Investment Bank naturally wanted to delve deeper into this new echelon of power. Since they had already established a good cooperative relationship with Yan Xing, it had to be maintained unless irreconcilable conflicts arose. After all, Renlun Investment Bank had no prior or recent grudges with the Witches’ Aid Society. Even after Yan Xing had killed so many of their members, they had ultimately managed to reach an understanding.
