Medical and Martial God-Chapter 323: Return the Favor of Spit with Fierce Punches (Part 2)
Ye Xiu looked at the young couple and the middle-aged couple.
In his view, if Ruirui’s misbehavior wasn’t reined in, the girl’s values, still unformed, would be warped into thinking this was correct. What would become of her when she grew up?
The commotion had already drawn the attention of everyone at the roadside stall. After all, Ruirui’s parents and grandparents had been speaking so loudly when discussing Xia Zhiwei that everyone had heard them. With Ruirui also spitting, hitting, and cursing, it was impossible not to notice. In an instant, all eyes at the stall turned to them, waiting to see how Ruirui’s family would handle the situation.
"She’s just a child who doesn’t know any better. For an adult like you to stoop to her level, you’re being incredibly petty," the middle-aged woman said sarcastically.
"A child’s spit isn’t dirty, and her hitting doesn’t even hurt. Why does an adult like you need to make such a big fuss?" the middle-aged man added, seeing no fault in Ruirui’s actions and instead blaming Xia Zhiwei.
Ye Xiu, Xia Zhiwei, and everyone else at the stall were shocked. As grandparents, not only did they fail to correct their granddaughter’s mistake, but they blamed the victim. This went beyond spoiling her; they were actively harming her.
"As her parents, do you feel the same way?" Xia Zhiwei asked, turning to the young couple.
"I think my daughter was right. A shameless, filthy woman like you deserves to be spit on," the young woman said with contempt.
"Let’s just eat. Ignore her. She’s just a whore, and talking to her is ruining our appetite," the young man said impatiently.
Xia Zhiwei’s face flushed red with anger. She wanted to slap all four of them, but as a Martial Artist, she felt it would be bullying the weak.
"Do you even know me?" she said angrily. "You slander me with vicious words just because of how I’m dressed. Don’t you think you’re being biased? You have to apologize to me, or else..."
"Or else what?" the young man scoffed.
"You..." Xia Zhiwei seethed.
Everyone at the roadside stall felt indignant on Xia Zhiwei’s behalf. This family of four was going too far. What could they have possibly gone through to become so accustomed to judging others and using such malicious words to hurt people?
Ye Xiu sighed. "I’ve traveled far and wide over the years and have certainly met my share of people with warped values, but for a family to be as twisted as yours is truly a rare sight!"
SLAP!
The middle-aged man slammed his hand on the table and stood up, glaring at Ye Xiu. "Who are you calling warped?"
"Now, don’t get excited. Hear me out," Ye Xiu said soothingly. "Parents are a child’s first teachers and a vital influence in shaping their values. You judge and slander people without knowing anything about them. Aren’t you worried your child will grow up to be just like you? When she does something wrong, you don’t correct her but blame others instead. Aren’t you worried she’ll grow up unable to tell right from wrong?"
Ye Xiu was genuinely trying to persuade them, and he was also doing it for Ruirui’s sake. Children are the flowers of the motherland, but if they kept teaching her this way, they would turn her into a common weed.
However, the middle-aged man only grew angrier. "Who are you to criticize our parenting? What right do you have to lecture us?"
The middle-aged woman shot up from her seat, enraged. "We called a whore a slut. Were we wrong? We’re teaching Ruirui to despise whores from a young age. And you’re no good either!"
"You’re cursing Ruirui to grow up unable to tell right from wrong? What’s your angle?" the young woman stood up as well, fuming. "There’s nothing wrong with how we raise our child. I have to wonder how your parents managed to raise a john like you. I truly feel sorry for them."
"Kid, who the hell do you think you are?" The young man got up, grabbed an empty beer bottle, and walked over to Ye Xiu. "You dare run your mouth about my family? You must be tired of living. Apologize to my parents and my wife right now, or I’ll crack this bottle over your head."
Everyone at the stall was left speechless by the family’s behavior. Ye Xiu had kindly tried to advise them on raising their child, but not only were they ungrateful, they had lashed out with vicious words, and the young man was now openly threatening him.
"It seems I was being nosy!" Ye Xiu said with a bitter smile. "In that case, let’s get straight to who’s right and who’s wrong. You publicly insulted and slandered Xia Zhiwei, and your daughter spat on her leg and attacked her. You will apologize to her immediately. If you don’t, don’t blame me for what happens next."
There was no reasoning with scum like this. It was time to resort to the most primitive and straightforward method: fists.
"Apologize? Haha..." The middle-aged woman laughed scornfully. "Who we insult is none of your damn business. Is there a law that says we’re not allowed to talk?"
The middle-aged man chimed in, "It’s an honor for that whore to be spat on by my granddaughter. When my granddaughter hits and scolds her, she’s doing it for her own good, trying to persuade her to change her ways."
"We’re not apologizing. What are you going to do about it, you pretty boy?"
The young man pointed the beer bottle at Ye Xiu threateningly. "I’m ordering you to apologize to my parents and my wife. Right now. Or I’m going to get physical."
Ye Xiu bent down, picked up an empty beer bottle, and with both hands, crushed it into powder.
"Go on and try," he said in a cold voice.
The entire roadside stall fell silent, completely stunned. The young man’s family was dumbfounded.
A glass bottle, crushed to powder with bare hands? Could this be the Iron Sand Palm from TV shows?
"Apologize, or I’ll crush your head into powder too," Ye Xiu said coldly.
"I won’t apologize. You just try and touch me," the young man said stubbornly. "Assault is illegal. If you dare hit me, I’ll call the police."
The onlookers couldn’t help but burst out laughing.
This guy was just threatening to smash a bottle over someone’s head, but now that he knows he’s outmatched, he’s suddenly hiding behind the law. How shameless!
"Son, let him hit you." The middle-aged woman walked over, shoved the back of her son’s head toward Ye Xiu, and began to shriek, "Go on, hit him! If you don’t, you’re just the beast I raised!"
"Yeah, come on! Crush my head into powder! Do it!" the young man taunted.
"Hit him! What, you don’t dare to anymore?" the middle-aged man sneered. "Anyone can make threats. I dare you to try. If you hit him, I’ll sue you."
"Go on, hit him hard," the young woman added, not to be left out. "You’d better beat my husband to death. If you’re too scared, then get lost. I despise gutless men like you the most." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
BANG!
Ye Xiu’s fist hammered down on the young man’s head. He didn’t use much force, but it was still enough to split the man’s scalp open. Blood began to pour down his face.
"Consider this punch my repayment for the spit," Ye Xiu said coldly. "Is one punch enough? If not, I can give you a few more."
