Mated to the Mad Lord-Chapter 206: Bidding Time
Chapter 206: Bidding Time
Nathan’s green eyes flashed with deep and immense worry, his gaze fixed on the letter that had landed in Lord Javi’s hands as he hurriedly opened it.
Nathan couldn’t see what was written on it, and all he could do was study Lord Javi’s face as he read the letter with surprising speed. A smile spread across Javi’s face as he read it, and he tossed it onto the table the moment he was done.
The servant who had brought the letter knew better than to wait, and the door had just shut behind him when Lord Javi began to speak.
"Not a bad plan! It was good enough to kill all the bodyguards, and it was written that Cain and his lover would have gotten in if they hadn’t stayed back at the last minute!" Nathan heard Javi say, but instead of feeling relieved, he simply felt his heart hammer stronger and faster in his chest as he noticed Javi turn fully to look at him. Nathan lowered his head even further to the ground.
"Not bad! It was simple, but if implemented better, it would have worked wonders!" At that point, Nathan couldn’t help but ask, a hint of confusion remaining in his eyes. He also spoke in a bid to distract Lord Javi from other things that he might want to do to him.
"My Lord! Wouldn’t it have been better to ensure that the bomb detonated with them in the car? Detonating it now would make Lord Cain more cautious than before!" he pointed out, only to be taken aback by the flash of displeasure that crossed Lord Javi’s face as he slowly got to his feet and moved from behind the table.
"Yes! But leaving the bomb or getting it retrieved might also have led to other problems. Moreover... his bodyguards dying and such a close shave with death would definitely serve as a good warning!" Lord Javi responded as he moved to clear the table with one swipe of his hands, his hands reaching for the belt of his pants the next instant.
His red eyes flashed in a familiar way as he gestured for Nathan to come closer. At that point, Nathan couldn’t take it any longer and was on the edge of a mental breakdown.
He froze on the spot and couldn’t move, even as he watched the frown on Lord Javi’s face deepen and his red eyes grow even redder than before.
"GET OVER HERE AND DROP YOUR PANTS!" Javi barked in a voice that promised nothing but pain if Nathan continued to hesitate any longer. Nathan felt tears well up in his eyes as he focused on not showing the hatred he felt in his heart on his face.
His legs moved forward as he did as he was told, feeling Javi push him onto the table as he ripped off the shirt he wore.
"You’re not enthusiastic yet because you’re still too tight! Later on... you’ll beg me!" Javi said, the sound of him unzipping his pants filling the air.
"Lo-Lord Javi!" Nathan said, opening his mouth to beg, only to gasp in pain as tears slid down his face. He held his cries in, biting his lip to keep from screaming.
"Yesss! Your blood doesn’t taste as nice as this does!" Javi continued to thrust his hips in reckless abandon, the whimpers he heard from Nathan spurring him on.
A human like him should thank me that I haven’t drained his blood yet! Javi thought, especially since blood and sex were all humans were meant for.
Eldric had just received the letter and read it when he let out a loud shout that echoed around the room and even beyond, loud enough to scare the guards who stood at the door, not to mention the servant who had delivered it.
"I’M SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS!" he yelled in a loud voice as he ripped the letter he had just read to shreds.
After the power Cain had shown, only a fool would dare to try and cross him. "You’ve read it!" he barked at the guard who knelt beside the servant, who looked like he was about to faint. The guard immediately nodded, his visage much calmer as he did so.
He was one of Eldric’s most high-ranking guards, so he was already aware of Eldric’s personality. Until he decides to kill you... you’ll be safe! he thought to himself as he boldly opened his mouth to speak.
"We’re not sure who’s responsible yet, but—" He wasn’t surprised when he was interrupted by Eldric, who snapped at him in furious anger.
"Who else!!! Who else but that reckless idiot!" Eldric didn’t mention the name, as he was sure that the guard in front of him knew the "red" he was talking about.
"Cain will be more guarded, and trying to kill him or use his lover would definitely be more difficult!" he added, but the guard wasn’t timid and again opened his mouth to speak.
"I think it’s not all bad. This would also make Lord Cain realize that his strength isn’t enough. He’s still mortal, and there are other ways he can be killed. It would ensure that he wouldn’t make big moves against you for the time being!"
Eldric had just been about to retort when he heard the guard mention that it wasn’t all bad. His mind finally settled as he heard the guard finish saying something he couldn’t help but agree with.
"You’re right!" he mumbled, more to himself than to the guard, as he began walking back and forth in his office before heading straight to settle in his chair.
This is not all bad! I’ve already begun to put the red potion in all the food, and it’s just a matter of time before the negative effects start to show. He might be strong, but of what use is it... if his mind is no longer his own!
"Continue to watch and report back to me!" Eldric ordered as he sent both the servant and the guard out of his room. The servant almost tripped over himself as he ran out, with the guard not far behind him as he shut the door the second he stepped out.
Now all I need is his blood relative—a child! he thought, his mind settling on Cain’s lover as he began to think of all the ways he could get her on his side without having to separate them.
