Chapter 68: Chapter 68

Arya pov

As I stood in front of the florist shop, I gazed at the colorful array of flowers, contemplating which ones to choose for Maya and Aria.

Although I knew Maya would be by my side, I wanted to make sure I was on Aria’s good side since she had Jaxon’s attention. I decided to pick out two unique flowers, one for each of them.

After grabbing the flowers, I headed to Maya’s place before stopping by Aria’s. As my driver drove me to Maya Mansion, I couldn’t believe how serene and peaceful it looked.

I knocked on the gate, and it opened automatically. I smiled at the thought of Maya expecting so many guests, including Jaxon. I entered the mansion, and the maids bowed to me, even though we had never met before.

They directed me to Maya’s room, where I was surprised to find her surrounded by friends, munching on snacks and scrolling through their phones. Although they were engrossed in their phones, one of her friends alerted her to my presence.

Maya soon stared at me, weirdly clearly not recognizing me. After all, she was a star in the school, and people only recognized her, but she did not recognize the person; that is how popular she was, one of her friends recognized me as she ran to hug me.

"Aria, it’s been a long while since I have not seen you." She began.

"I heard you blanked out after you found out that Jaxon and Aria were a thing", she said to me. I was a bit speechless, unable to say anything. How were they able to find out such a gossip?

I was with Jaxon yes. anybody who knew I had anything to do with Jaxon was always filled with jealousy, but it’s not my fault that I made Jaxon like me. Of all the girls, if not for Aria, I would still be the number one in Jaxon’s heart that I am sure of.

She looked at the two flowers in my hands and smiled widely.

"I am the only one sick here so why are you with two flowers" she asked. I put down one and stretched one towards her.

"This one belongs to you, and this one also belongs to someone else who is also sick," I said sarcastically and She realized what I said and only collected her own, but without even staring at it for one minute. She handed it over to her friends as they threw it to the bed.

"I am very sure you are not here just because of flowers," she said.

I was not a bit surprised by what Maya said. I knew she was the kind of person who would always want you to be by her side or be one of her allies; she didn’t even care about the rules, who became her ally as long as she could control you. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

And seeing that I came to visit her without her asking to, she knew I wanted to be her ally, but she got me wrong because I was not going to be her ally.

Instead, I was going to use her and Aria to get back Jaxon, and the first way to do that was by being your friend.

Even though it was fake, I would be her friend and still destroy her from within; She does not know the kind of person I am for Jaxon. I can do anything, and she will get to realize that only after I am done with what I want.

I smiled widely at her as her friends began to chuckle, clearly happy that they had someone to join them in destroying people’s lives, but I was not like that. I wanted Jaxon and the only person I planned on destroying her life with Aria;

"How did you get me so easily?" I said to Maya, and she began to giggle as she turned to her friends, and they also chuckled.

"I am tired of hiding in the corner, and when I saw what happened to you, I knew in my mind and my guts that it was Aria. She is the only one who would do something that treacherous, and after all, we both know how much I hate her for stealing Jaxon from me. I don’t mind you having Jaxon as long as he’s not Aria, but she’s not worth him." I lied to Maya.

At first, I was hesitant as I wondered if Maya could believe my lies and accept them, but even before I could step back, she jumped and hugged me tightly.

"It’s so good to have you by my side; I got so tired of always having these three girls as my friends, but with you, they will become four, and with me, we will be the five groups everyone needs. It is just so perfect," Maya said as she giggled while hugging me tightly.

I stared at the other girls, and they seemed a bit jealous but were not showing it at the same time. I hooked her back tightly.

"I just thought I needed to be by your side to support you. You needed somebody new with new ideas to make you more superior than you are." I told her, and she released me with a surprised stare.

"You are just perfect and came at the perfect time," Maya said to me with her smile becoming even wider.

Maya’s glare went to the flower in my hand, she immediately asked who owned it.

"You still haven’t told me who owned it." She muttered I looked down at the flower, and after much hesitation, I told her it was owned by Aria.

The way maya stared at my hand I felt like she would begin to get angry but instead she began to chuckle loudly and then tapped my cheek playfully.

"You are just too smart Arya, you want to see how wretched she is...that is good." She said and that made her friend even more angry.
