Aria pov
After hearing those words from Jaxon, I couldn’t help but be a bit happy that things were finally falling into place.
Just as we continued to talk, I noticed that someone was already coming, and we let go of each other’s hand, acting very calm in the presence of each other. Then Rachel walked towards us as she clapped her hands with a wide smile.
"You are one sort of a lady,you something like this happening to a fellow human being like you, but you don’t even feel anything." she said, and I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
Why was she even acting carelessly? It wasn’t like it would change anything. I walk towards her with a wide smile on my face.
" What exactly do you say?I can’t help but feel nothing to you all? I just want to and I think it is high time. You also leave my house!" I said to her as I made sure to exaggerate the part I said about my house.
She began to laugh, loudly clapping her hands together." I always knew you would become trouble, but Jaxon would never listen. I did not even know you would get intertwined with us like this. I guess we are all family; after all, I am your step-sister, and Jaxon is your step-brother. Isn’t that just nice?" She said, and I rolled my eyes, even though I tried to avoid it and claim that we were not connected; it was just too obvious she was right. It was just all so funny to me, the family, which was made up of just me and my mum.it is now changing to an extended family.
I just wanted to escape everything. It was all just so frustrating and annoying. "I wanted it to be that way;" I muttered to her as she chuckled loudly.
" It does not matter, just as you always say, whether you wanted it that way or not, I am now your step-sister, and I’m going to make sure you are going to hate living in this building with me", she said, but I was not going to let her win so easily.
So I walked towards her
"That’s if you get to live here", I said to her. She stared at me in shock but quickly composed herself.
" You would not tell me where to live. It is up to the lawyer and my mom to persuade your mum to let us stay here, and as a matter of fact, I am still related to you. I am still George’s daughter"; she said and I couldn’t help but feel so annoyed to see how she was disrespecting my father like he was just a mere person by his name.
I would not call him by his name if I were in his presence, but here she was, acting like a queen. Everything about her just always has a way of pissing me off, but I would not let it get to me. I slowly walked past her, but I felt a hand on mine.
At first, I thought it was Jaxon, but I turned around to see it was Rachel which annoyed me even more as I jacked my hand away from hers.
"What exactly do you think you are doing? You cannot just hold me like that because we are fake sisters. You are the illegitimate one here, not me, so you should know what to do and when to keep to yourself." I warned her angrily.
As I stomped away, I could hear her muttering some words to Jaxon, but I did not care and just continued with my actions. I entered the sitting room to see the arguments still going on.
I don’t know why they don’t want to put an end to this already and come to a final understanding. It was just so frustrating and hard to continue watching them. they need to get over it as soon as possible?
"How is the house to you?" My mom asked, and I looked around as everyone’s attention was suddenly on me. I had nothing to say, but I knew I had to say something because Mum pointed out that I was in charge.
"I think the house is perfectly OK for both of us, and I don’t see any reason you want to include them. Rachel, here you just want to make this house heated up and create more chaos for all of us". I said to Mum as she looked at the lawyer, and the lawyer nodded.
I guess I said those words at the right time because it seemed like they also wanted to agree on what would happen.
"You Are very much right?" The lawyer said to me and I was also thinking the same thing, but in the meantime,
" we need them just as much as they need us to, so we should just bear with them till they finally get to leave. " mom added , That means I would have to see Rachel all the time simultaneously; I would have to watch her cling unto Jaxon as if he belonged to her 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
After a few minutes, I guess everyone was waiting for my answer." It is fine by me" I began..
"I do not care how you all want it to go; all I just want is Peace of mind and I do not mind going back to our house just for the peace because I am more than sure staying here will cost nothing but a fight between you and Naomi," I said to Mum as she shrugged and hugged me tightly from where I was sitting.
"Nothing like that is going to happen".
"You must be silent and watch, no matter how they try to get on your nerves. Always remember that we own everything, and they cannot dictate or tell us what to do in our house. Feel free to do whatever you want; it belongs to you", Mom said silently.
"You are the best, Aria, and I would never forsake you or regret ever having you for George because right now, I am about to benefit from all my sufferings," she said to me as I nodded. I felt a bit happy at least she didn’t see me as nothing but a mistake anymore.
