Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 189: Night out - 6
Chapter 189: Night out - 6
Silas’s POV
"Silas, I don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, but let me confess one thing. I’m interested in you. And this interest isn’t like a friend or a fan. I’m interested in you—like a lover."
"I want to get to know you. I want to know what you like. I want to know what you hate. I want to stand by your side in every problem. I want to see the world with you. I want to spend my whole life with you. I want to grow old with you."
"You know, Silas, I think that Oracle from our childhood—the one that said we four will share one male Omega—I don’t think it’s true. Because I don’t want to share you with anyone. If you are our fated mate, I want to keep you to myself."
I was listening silently to Theron because I didn’t know how to respond now, when he was confessing his feelings.
He didn’t say directly, "I love you," but everything he said meant the same.
I was checking earlier if he loves me. But... do I love him? The reason why I was checking. Because I didn’t care before if anyone had feelings for me or not.
And I think I had a hunch that he liked me, because he used to flirt with me before too.
But at that time, in my eyes, he was my twin brother’s mate. That’s why I chose not to respond to his feelings.
But after finding out that he’s not my brother’s mate, I kind of felt relieved—and hearing how he really feels about me makes me feel like jumping to the sky. That’s how happy I am.
"Silas, I won’t force you to accept my feelings, but I don’t want your rejection either."
And who says something like that? That he won’t force me to accept his feelings, but he also doesn’t want my rejection?
Like he’s basically telling me I have to say yes to him?
"Are you confessing to me?" I asked.
"Didn’t I make it clear? Oh wait, I didn’t say those three magical words... I love you. Happy now?"
"Do you think that after hearing those so-called magical words, I’ll just accept your feelings?"
"Are you rejecting me, Silas?"
"It’s not like I’m rejecting you, it’s just that I need some time to think."
"Oh, that’s how it is. Okay then, I’ll give you one week. Give me your answer after one week."
Saying that, he lay down on the bed and covered himself with a blanket. He patted the space beside him, telling me to lie down too.
So I lay down. And as soon as I did, I suddenly heard the sound of a phone ringing—someone was calling me.
When I grabbed my mobile and saw the time, it was already past midnight—and Orian was calling me. So I quickly answered the call.
(Silas) "What happened, Orian?"
As I asked, a loud crying sound reached my ears—it was Velric’s sobbing voice.
(Silas) "Hello?"
(Orian) "Silas, can you come back right now? Because we can’t handle this."
(Silas) "What happened? And... is that Velric crying?"
(Orian) "Yes."
Then Orian told me everything. That after I left, Atlas and Shine came over, and the four of them played together.
But as it got dark, Atlas left because his brother was waiting for him, and Shine decided to stay with them. Like usual, they played, ate, and then went to sleep.
But in the middle of the night, Velric suddenly woke up and started calling for me.
When he couldn’t find me anywhere in the apartment, he started crying while calling my name.
And it’s been half an hour since he started. No matter what they do, he isn’t stopping. That’s why, in the end, Orian had to call me.
(Orian) "Can you talk to him and coax him?"
(Silas) "Yes, give him the phone."
(Velric) "Mumma... sob... sob..."
(Silas) "My boy, why are you crying? What happened? Did you have a nightmare?"
"What happened? Is Velric crying?" Theron whispered, and I nodded.
(Velric) "Mumma, where... sob... where are you? Did you leave me? Please, Mumma, don’t leave me..."
(Silas) "No, Velric, why would I leave? It’s Theron’s fault—he brought me here for camping without even asking my permission."
(Velric) "Are you with Daddy right now?"
(Silas) "Yes. Wanna talk to him?"
I was just asking Velric, but suddenly Theron snatched the phone from me and started talking.
Theron was laughing a lot while talking, and after five minutes, he handed the phone back to me, saying Velric wanted to talk to me now.
(Silas) "Velric?"
(Velric) "Mumma, come back home soon tomorrow."
Huh, he’s not crying now—but that’s great.
(Silas) "Okay, sleep now."
Hearing Velric cry, I really did think about going back.
I had decided that after this call, I was going to tell Theron to take me home because I couldn’t leave the child crying nonstop like that.
But I don’t think we need to go back now, since he’s fine and he’s stopped crying too.
After hanging up the call, I put the mobile on the table and lay down on my back.
As I was lying there, suddenly Theron’s hand came to rest on my chest and he started patting me gently.
"Sleep tight," he said, closing his eyes while still patting me, trying to help me fall asleep.
So, I started to stroke his hair. And I didn’t even realize when I drifted off.
The next day, because of the birds chirping, my eyes opened—I was awake. After waking up, I glanced to my side and saw Theron was still sleeping.
This was the first time I’d seen him asleep, I think, and he looked extremely handsome.
My hand moved on its own and touched his cheek. But the moment I touched it, he snapped his eyes open, which made me flinch.
"Let me sleep a little more, Shorty," he mumbled, pulling me into his arms and hugging me tightly.
