Chapter 265: Her Broken Little Love [1]

[RANIA]

Rani portaling away was something that none of the misfits had expected and it was even more shocking to Jihoon who just stood there wondering what in the hell had just happened.

It wasn’t every day that shit like this came to life. For all he and Dalrae knew, Rania was just an alpha wolf. That was it, but no alpha wolf possessed telekinesis. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

It was something that had never been heard of in the history of everything he knew. It was impossible and frankly, his eyes were begging for an explanation while the trio just stood there, thinking of what to do next.

"Am I the only one who didn’t know she could teleport? What other abilities does she have? Or do all aloha wolves teleport? Can I do that too?" Jihoon asked in excitement and worry.

It was crazy what he had seen happening since the misfits came into his life forcefully and now as it was, his mate was creating portals and disappearing through them.

What else was there that he knew nothing of?

"I am confused too, but there must be an explanation. All I know is the crown prince murdered Oshita and that things aren’t going to be pretty for a while.

"If Rani left, there’s a chance she went to Incayon," Dalrae said worriedly.

She had never thought that this could happen too but then it had. The most pressing issue at the moment wasn’t even Rani’s abilities but the pain she had to have felt that she subconsciously created a portal and went through it.

She was in her most unstable state and it was dangerous, even for those she cared about. The least they could do was try to make things better for her.

"There’s no way Oshita is dead," Jihoon said almost like he didn’t want to believe it. But then he had been around this team long enough to know they never talked about losing one of their own.

It was crazy how they had remained calm even then.

Granted, he knew that this was the calm before the storm but he was counting on it all not being so destructive. Oh, but that could have been a beautiful wish if the misfits weren’t literal devils themselves.

"You’re going back to Incayon and our deal is off. Speak of it again or even to anyone and I’ll wring your neck faster than the blood in my body can ever reach the brain," Kaia said coldly and Jihoon wanted to complain.

He wanted to contest but then even he could tell that the situation had made their deal a little too difficult. It wasn’t daily that Rania lost someone she cared about and it was messing with them all.

"Fine," Jihoon said before Chang Wook created a portal and Kaia pushed Jihoon through like they didn’t need him anymore.

Maybe Kaia was being cruel but that didn’t really matter to him at the moment. If Jihoon felt wronged he could go whine away, and Kaia Seto wouldn’t even give him a chance either way. It just doesn’t matter to him.

"We can’t go to Drarun, not like this and no one says we can split up," Dalrae said when it was just the three of them. She knew that it was not going to be easy.

However, it would be harder without Rania with them. Besides, she wasn’t planning on leaving her sister behind no matter what they suggested.

"No, we can’t. We have to go to Incayon and see if she is there or if she went to the people’s palace. If she managed to unlock her warlock powers then it’s just a matter of time before she knows the full extent of what she can do.

"With her anger, we need to be fast before she brings down the whole of Obren," Chang Wook said and Dalrae looked at him and Kaia as if to try to get what they were talking about.

Surely, this couldn’t be right, yeah? So much had happened in the past few minutes and she needed a better explanation. Did they even have the time to give a rundown though? Probably not.

"We’ll explain later," Chang Wook said and dalrae looked at him like there was more that he needed to explain.

Time wasn’t on their side though, so she didn’t press any further. If this was what they figured was best for them then she would be more attentive then.

"Let’s go home," Dalrae added after a long silence.

She could see Kaia and Chang Wook trying to control themselves and she knew it was just a matter of time before they exploded and that didn’t look good for anyone.

The loss of Oshita was easily the most unexpected of losses and they all had to find a common ground in their mourning. It would register soon but until then they had to take the road home.

This wasn’t how they had planned on going back to Incayon though as it was, they didn’t have many options laid out for them.

"Yeah just give me a moment," Kaia said before he looked at Chang Wook as if to tell him that it was time for them to do something else.

In unison, the new-found friends told Dalrae to stand on the side as they brought down the house that had been home to them for the past five days.

They had stayed here for a whole and they had somewhat thought that this would be like hone for them while they tried to figure out what plan would work best against Nathaniel and his people.

It wasn’t going to be easy but then it was easy to conquer compared to the emotions that were riling them up. A house that once was was now reduced to a bunch of sand. It shouldn’t have been this easy but was it really?

"Now we can go home," Kaia said as he created a portal that they all went through. Their hearts were heavy and their worries were evident.

It was like they were swimming in a bubble of pain, one that got even the bastards of bastards feeling a little too emotional and empty. It was unexpected but so we’re several other things along the way.

"Damn," was all they could manage when they reached home.
