"Yes! Yes! I am sorry. I am—" The man’s pleas were abruptly cut short when the omega hurled him like a doll to the other side of the road.

Yanyan nodded, his eyes bright. "Don’t worry, Daddy. I didn’t take it to heart." The boy then jumped around like a bunny.

Shen Yuan smirked. "Of course. That is the original plan anyway."
"My foxfire beasts!" Shen Yuan called the four remaining foxfire beasts to his side. "Secure the perimeter. Push them back to me so that I could fix them up before their arrest!"
"Ao!" The foxfire beasts let out a malicious bark before they wildly ran around.
Shen Yuan then went to grab more fleeing kidnappers. Since most of their opponents are low-level awakeners, Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng didn’t use 100 percent of their powers.
Bai Tingfeng fought with his long sword still sheathed, while Shen Yuan fought with nothing but fists and kicks.
"Ha! It’s been a while since I went full-on Rambo mode. Can’t any of you make a worthy opponent?!" Of course, Shen Yuan’s signature trash talk made an appearance. He can’t help it, especially since he’s been suppressing his bloodthirst because of his pregnancy.

"Do you think they are with the Cardinals?" Bai Tingfeng asked.
"I think they are, but I am not so sure. Why don’t we ask them?" Shen Yuan suggested.
He flew towards a fleeing hooded figure and scooped them up like an eagle picking up its meal.
"Ahhhhh! Let me go!" The hooded woman cried angrily.
"Hi!" Shen Yuan greeted as if it were just a typical day. "You are the only female beta in this mix, so I will give you some privileges. How about saving everyone trouble by enlightening us? Why are you targeting Edison Wen?"
"Answer me, and I’ll lower you back down—slow enough that you survive." Shen Yuan coldly said as the two of them were dangling in the air.
Looking down, Shen Yuan and the woman could clearly see that most of the kidnappers were neutralized. With Bai Tingfeng dancing, brandishing his sheathed sword around the battlefield. Every few minutes, a pair of armed awakeners kisses the ground with bruises.
"You’d better drop all hope that you and your fellow assailants would get away from us. Your group are virtually wiped out. If I were you, I would take the opportunity to save myself from the pain."
Shen Yuan loosened his grip on the woman’s cloak.

Shen Yuan tossed her so high up in the sky that Yanyan, who was watching them from the ground, squinted to see what his dad was up to.
"Papa," He called Bai Tingfeng.
Bai Tingfeng took down the last standing enemies with a flick of his sword.
"What is it?" Bai Tingfeng asked, approaching his son.
"What is Daddy’s plan?" Yanyan pointed at the sky, where Shen Yuan and the enemy are as big as a dot.
The alpha looked up. His forehead creased. He had an idea what Shen Yuan was up to, but he couldn’t explain why he had to fly that high.
"Let’s just watch out for him." Bai Tingfeng said.
The barrier dimmed, and the protective talisman turned into dust.
Bai Tingfeng, Yanyan, Yangyang and the foxfire beasts stood watching Shen Yuan do his thing.
Back in Shen Yuan, he was having a battle of nerves with the kidnapper. The higher they went, the rougher he treated her.

"Aw!" Shen Yuan felt a strong sting on his hand.
