Marvel Ultimate Gacha-Chapter 98: Abyss
Chapter 98 - Abyss
"why can't we fight them?" Piaro asked hearing valentine.
"These creatures can only be affected by magic, and I'm the only one who can use it. But it won't be enough to kill the hundreds of them guarding the prison," she said.
Blade stepped forward and said, "I can kill them too." His Soul Sculptor class wasn't just for show—each of his attacks dealt additional Soul-type damage. More than that, his damage against soul-type creatures was even greater.
To him, they were nothing more than experience fodder.
"There is nothing a sword can't cut," Piaro said, stepping forward.
Meanwhile, Valentine urged them, "Please, we don't have much time. We need to save my kingdom!"
Blade turned to her and said, "You said if you hold the Trident, you can resist the curse, right?"
She nodded. "Yes. If I hold the Trident, I can reset the curse as long as I'm holding it—once every 24 hours, or even just by touching it."
Blade nodded in response. "Then we have 23 hours to reach it. After that, we'll return to the surface to have it blessed by the Goddess of Light, Rebecca. Then, we'll head to your kingdom."
Valentine hesitated. "Do you really think you can fight hundreds of them?"
Before Blade could answer, Dave stepped forward, his face unreadable. His eyes locked onto the icy waters as he activated his skill—Water Carving Sword Art: Abyss Cleave.

A massive, lightning-fast slash tore through the water, cutting three wraiths clean in half.

"Well, I just did," Blade said, looking at the stunned Valentine.
Piaro also stepped forward, slashing at the other two wraiths. Unlike Blade, it took him two strikes to finish them off.
"As I said, there's nothing my sword can't cut," he remarked, glancing at Valentine, who could only stare in disbelief at the two absurdly powerful humans.
"What about a bet?" Blade asked with a smirk.
Piaro nodded. "Let's see who takes down the most wraiths."
With that, both of them dashed ahead, cutting down wraiths as they went, while Valentine hurried to keep up with them.
Valentine gritted her teeth, trying to keep up as Blade and Piaro tore through the wraiths like a storm of blades. Each swing of their swords left trails of destruction, sending the ghostly creatures howling into nothingness.
Blade's strikes were ruthless, precise, and overwhelming. His Soul Sculptor class made his attacks even more devastating against these soul-based enemies, and each critical strike erased wraiths from existence in an instant.

Piaro, on the other hand, fought with pure technique. Each swing of his blade carried the weight of countless battles, cutting through his enemies with absolute precision. Even though it took him more than one strike to finish some of them, he moved like an artist, his Sword Saint abilities carving a path through the battlefield.

"Damn it, how are they so strong?!" Valentine muttered under her breath.
She wasn't weak—far from it—but compared to these two monsters, she felt like a child trying to keep up with seasoned warriors.
Blade smirked as he spun his blade, sending three more wraiths into oblivion. "Losing count yet, Piaro?"
Piaro chuckled, cutting down another wraith with a single, well-timed slash. "Not a chance. Keep up, kid."
"Tch, we'll see about that!" Blade charged forward, cutting down another wave of enemies.
Valentine took a deep breath and forced herself to focus. She wasn't about to be left behind. Raising her staff, she began chanting a spell, gathering magic around her. If she couldn't match them in raw swordplay, she'd just have to clear the battlefield in her own way.
"Ocean's Wrath!"
A surge of water magic exploded forward, crashing into the wraiths like a tidal wave.

Blade and Piaro glanced back at her, grinning.
"Now that's more like it," Blade said.
"Finally keeping up," Piaro added.
"I also want to help," she said.
They both nodded in agreement.
Valentine was royalty—a descendant of the powerful Mermaid species, the Jewel of the Oceans. Born as the rightful ruler of the seas, her race possessed immense magical abilities as well as formidable physical prowess.
In ancient times, the Mermaids ruled the oceans, their power unmatched. However, a treacherous brother of the Mermaid King struck a deal with a demon, cursing their entire race. Since then, their strength had dwindled.
But now, the might of the ancient race was beginning to awaken once more.

Back in South Korea, at SA Headquarters, everyone was watching this quest unfold with surprise.
The reason? They had never planned for it.
The Mermaid race was meant to go extinct. They were considered too powerful, which was why they had been cursed, forgotten, and eventually turned into monsters. If Blade successfully cleared this quest, the Mermaid race would emerge once again, disrupting the balance of the game.
And they had no quests designed for such a scenario.
"I have created the necessary quest for Player Blade to receive upon succeeding in clearing this quest," Morpheus, the Super AI behind Satisfy, announced.
Lim Cheolho, the head developer, nodded in approval.
The other team leaders also stared at the screen. Blade was leading in wraith kills, and his level was skyrocketing at an unprecedented speed. Even the top ten ranked players had never leveled up this fast.
"It's thanks to his class—Soul Sculptor," Lim Cheolho muttered.
The quest was originally deemed impossible unless a level 500 player attempted it. However, no level 500 player would ever go to Kesan Canyon, a region that was 300 levels lower than their range.
