Blade looked at his Status Screen. After completing his training with Piaro, his class was now close to advancing in rank to Epic—he just needed to create a few more sculptures.

"Our training ends here," Piaro suddenly announced.

Blade raised an eyebrow. "Our? You were the one training me."

Piaro shook his head with a small smile. "Perhaps, but I also learned a lot from you."

Blade smirked. "Then how about traveling with me?"

Piaro looked at him, slightly surprised.

"I also plan to defeat you and make you my knight," Blade added confidently.

Piaro scoffed. "You're still too young for that."

Blade grinned. "I'd say I'll probably defeat you in a year or two."

Piaro let out a short laugh and said, "Alright then, I'll be waiting to see what makes you think that."

"Good, but first, let's get you into more suitable attire," Blade said.

After half an hour, Piaro was no longer a beggar—or at least, not such an ugly beggar. He still had the same hair and beard, but now he was wearing some decent clothes that Blade had given him.

"Let's go. The worlds is big place—I'm pretty sure we can find something in this vast world to help you," Blade said.

Piaro shook his head. "I'll be happy as long as you kill that traitor, Asmophel."

Blade nodded. "I will do that—after leaving you in a city, somewhere safe."

"Let's go to Reidan. It's the last city before the Sharan Empire. You can stay there while I take care of this Asmophel guy," Blade added.

Piaro nodded in agreement, ready for what lay ahead.

They began to leave Kesan Canyon when Old Granny approached Blade and asked, "Are you not going to get that sword?" She was referring to the sword lying in the Mermen Kingdom.

Th𝗲 most uptodate novels are published on ƒгeewёbnovel.com.

It was a growth-type sword called Dreadspire, which could only be obtained by defeating with the Monstrous Mermen King—a nearly impossible feat, as they saw humans only as food or simply by raiding the Kingdom and winning that raid, which is yet another impossible feat for now..

"Maybe after I get stronger, I'll stage a one-man raid on the kingdom," Blade mused.

"By that time, you won't even need that sword," Old Granny shook her head.

"Then you should've given me something I can obtain with my current capabilities," Blade replied.

She sighed. "Without overcoming hardship, you can't grow."

Blade shook his head but didn't argue further, continuing forward on his journey.

"Please wait!!"

Suddenly, both Piaro and Blade stopped in their tracks, stepping back cautiously as they sensed a powerful presence approaching.

Then, from the water, a beautiful mermaid emerged. Unlike the monstrous mermen they had seen earlier, she was stunning—violet glossy hair, shimmering deep purple scales, and bright, pleading eyes. Her voluptuous figure was modestly covered by shells, yet her elegance and grace were undeniable.

She looked nothing like the grotesque, fish-like mermen from before. Instead, she resembled the legendary mermaids of fairy tales.

"Who are you?" Blade asked, keeping his eyes at her face..which is damm difficult given the attire she is wearing.

"Please... I need your help," she said desperately, her voice trembling. "I am one of the last of my kind, cursed to take on a monstrous form."

Blade's eyes widened. "Wait... you're saying you're a mermen?"

She nodded quickly. "I only have 24 hours before I turn back... please, help me liberate my kingdom!"

Blade looked at the quest and nodded. "I will help you," he said.

Valentine's eyes shimmered with emotion as tears welled up. "Thank you... thank you! You don't know just how much I've been wishing for this every single day," she said, clasping her hands tightly as she knelt.

Blade glanced at her before asking, "So, will you lead me to this Abyss? And what exactly is this place?"

Valentine wiped her tears and took a deep breath. "The Abyss is a place where monsters and prisoners were once sealed away. But now... it's where our kingdom's last hope is imprisoned," she explained.

Blade turned to Piaro and nodded. "I'll help you later. But first, I need to take care of something," he said.

Piaro crossed his arms and smirked. "I will come as well. The power of a Great Demon sounds formidable... I'd like to test my strength against it," he declared.

Blade simply nodded in agreement, knowing that a difficult battle lay ahead.

"Let's go then. I only have 24 hours to lead you there and take you back to the surface," Valentine said.

Blade nodded walked towards her. Piaro also stepped forward, ready to move.

"Here, take this, and place it on your chest" Valentine said, handing each of them a shimmering scale from her hand.

Blade took the scale, examining it briefly before placing it against his chest. The moment it touched his skin, a strange sensation washed over him. The scale pulsed with energy, and in an instant, his body began to transform. His legs fused together, morphing into a sleek, powerful fishtail. It was Violet glossy fish tail like hers. Piaro also grow a fish tail like him as he tried to move around.

Blade's eyes widened as he instinctively tried to move, feeling the unfamiliar weight of his new form. At first, he struggled, but within moments, he adjusted to the sensation, gradually gaining control over his transformed body.

Piaro, experiencing the same change, let out a low chuckle. "This is... different," he mused, testing his movements in the water.

Valentine smiled. "Now, you can travel freely underwater. Let's not waste any time—we need to reach the Abyss before it's too late."
