Chapter 190 - 190

The energy erupted by the opponent was terrifying beyond comprehension, like an unending blaze consuming everything in its path. It radiated with such volatile intensity that even under the oppressive aura of the ancient patriarch himself, the enemy showed no fear, his assault unyielding and ferocious.

"I see that you're really impatient to die!!"

The old patriarch's expression darkened. In a flash, his entire form became a blur of light and shadow. Divine power erupted from him, the gleam of white light flashing like a starburst, streaking violently toward the enemy.

Boom!!!

The impact sent a shockwave tearing through the earth, triggering seismic waves that spread in all directions. The ground cracked at an alarming pace, fissures spreading like spiderwebs across the terrain. Sparks ignited along the ruptured ground—a visual testament to the sheer magnitude of power at play.

The opponent's aura surged, hitting its zenith. His entire body radiated boundless energy as if channeling from an endless reservoir. The raw force expanded outward with no signs of relenting, destabilizing everything in proximity.

"I'm here to help you."

It was then that Finn arrived on the scene. Realizing something was wrong, he clenched his fingers into a fist, summoning a shockwave of tremendous force. In a single movement, he hurled it at the opponent, colliding directly with that overwhelming tide of energy.

The momentum was immense—far greater than conventional physics should have allowed. Even the space around them vibrated with resonance, like a cataclysmic, tenth-magnitude earthquake. Shockwaves pulsed forward like ripples in space-time, and the structures nearby groaned under the pressure, many on the verge of collapse.

Boom!!

The explosive collision landed with full force against the adversary's chest. The impact launched him backward like a projectile, his body slicing through the air like a missile. Another deafening explosion followed as his body slammed into a nearby mountain, carving a massive crater into the rock face. Rubble rained down, and fragments of stone tumbled in an avalanche.

The force behind the energy was staggering. The enemy lay embedded in the crater, seemingly incapacitated by the blow. He didn't rise. The silence was deafening.

"Quickly, lock him down."

The old patriarch turned and summoned several members of the Angelic Order—a group with roots in celestial entities akin to the Eternals or the Asgardians. Without hesitation, the operatives approached and began to secure the downed target.

"Understood, patriarch. Proceeding now."

The Angels acted swiftly, moving with precision and purpose. They restrained the foe and removed him from the site of destruction.

The attack had brought ruin to the area. Entire segments of the ground were torn asunder, surrounding structures lay in ruin, and the sky above still simmered with residual energy.

The old patriarch sighed heavily. If only they had intercepted the intruder sooner. They hadn't prepared adequately, and the result was near devastation.

"What the hell happened here?"

Finn approached with a furrowed brow, still on edge.

"What else? A foreign entity infiltrated the domain."

The patriarch shook his head, his tone bitter. "This one was different, though. Overwhelming strength, erratic methods. Even with our combined forces, we were completely outmatched."

Finn frowned. "Any idea who this guy is?"

The patriarch exhaled. "We don't have a name. We don't know his origins. We only know that his power is immense, his tactics strange, and there's no pattern to his movements."

"No wonder you're troubled."

Finn rubbed his jaw thoughtfully. "What are you planning to do next?"

The patriarch's expression turned grave. "We have to eliminate this threat before it grows any further. With the resurgence of the demon factions—especially with Mephisto's recent moves—our current situation is volatile."

He continued, "And the root of this problem? It's not just this one attack. It's years of failed preventative measures. If we had taken proactive steps, this breach might never have occurred."

"That being doesn't appear to be from Mephisto's faction," the patriarch added cautiously, "but he isn't one of us either. He's an outsider, likely one of those corrupted hybrids—something not entirely demon but not of any known celestial lineage either. And worse, he seems to crave what we have—our divine core."

The patriarch's voice was low and cutting. "But now that he's fallen, the immediate crisis may have passed."

"Maybe."

Finn nodded, but his eyes narrowed. "But I sensed something off about him."

"Off how?"

The patriarch tilted his head.

"I suspect he has some sort of connection to the demon faction."

Finn's voice was firm, his tone intense.

"A connection?!"

The patriarch looked visibly stunned.

It was an unexpected leap, but not an illogical one. Finn had been right before about such links, especially during the Dormammu incursion in the Astral Planes.

"I think it's likely," Finn said. "We know Mephisto's realm has always desired access to celestial power. Forming alliances—especially with entities like this—would be in their best interest."

The patriarch rubbed his temple. "You think this was a coordinated infiltration?"

"Not just infiltration—reconnaissance," Finn answered. "They're testing our defenses. Gauging response time. We need to prepare for a full-scale assault."

The patriarch nodded slowly. It all made too much sense.

"Let's keep this theory confidential until we have hard evidence. We'll launch a deep probe into his genetic structure and energy signature. If he's aligned with Mephisto—or worse, Chthon—we need to know."

Finn agreed. "Also, something about his defeat doesn't sit right with me."

"Explain."

"Based on what we saw, his energy output rivaled Mephisto's. Possibly even exceeded it. But if that's the case, he shouldn't have gone down so easily."

Finn looked at the crater again. "Before I stepped in, he was dominating. If I hadn't intervened, you wouldn't have subdued him."

"I see what you mean."

The patriarch's expression grew darker. "There's more to this."

"I'll arrange it."

The patriarch nodded firmly. "And Finn—thank you. You turned the tide. Again."

Finn exhaled. "Let's just hope this was the first and last warning shot."
