Chapter 182: Judgement 2.0

Martial artists with G–F rank talents manifested Regular Spirits.

Those with E–D rank talents awakened Profound Spirits.

C–A rank talent produced Earthly Spirits.

A rare S rank talent could manifest a Heavenly Spirit.

Those blessed with SS rank talent awakened a Holy Spirit.

And then, there were the monsters.

Individuals born with SSS rank cultivation talent.

Like Remedy.

They manifested the rarest form of spirit.

A Supreme Spirit.

A Martial Spirit was more than just a manifestation of power.

It was the medium through which martial artists executed their affinity based martial techniques.

Which meant something important.

Normally a martial artist could only use one technique at a time.

Because they only possessed one spirit.

But Remedy had two.

Two spirits meant two channels.

Two sources of power.

Two techniques.

At the same time.

And the effect wasn’t just versatility.

Her Star Power also surged from the presence of the additional spirit.

Beside her Felecia’s Blessed Purgatory Physique burned brighter.

The red aura flared violently as her muscles tightened with explosive strength.

The bears roared.

The forest trembled.

And the battle began.

Felecia moved first.

Two Hol Bears lunged toward her at the same time.

Her Champion Gold Gauntlet materialized around her fist.

She stepped forward and delivered two quick punches.

BOOM!

The first bear’s skull collapsed instantly under the impact.

Bone shattered as the monster dropped to the ground.

The second bear twisted its head at the last second.

The blow still landed, but instead of dying instantly, the beast was sent flying backward with a crack.

Before it could recover a beam of light pierced straight through its skull and the monster collapsed.

Dead.

Remedy stood a few meters away.

Her rapier was still extended from the thrust.

But the fight was far from over.

Several Hol Bears charged her from behind.

Massive claws raised.

Jaws open.

Ready to tear her apart.

Then her second Supreme Spirit appeared.

A massive twelve-winged angel manifested behind her.

The wings spread wide, glowing with blinding radiance.

The spirit opened its mouth.

And spoke a single word.

"Radiance."

Light exploded outward and the charging bears were instantly blinded.

Then spears of light erupted from inside their skulls.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

The monsters collapsed where they stood.

Dead before their bodies even hit the ground.

Just like that, Remedy and Felecia held the entire sloth of Hol Bears at bay.

Two against dozens.

Yet their coordination made it possible.

Where one left an opening, the other filled it instantly.

Where one pushed forward, the other covered the flank.

They fought like they had done this a hundred times before.

Of course, their strength wasn’t just skill.

Both of them possessed abilities that boosted their Star Power.

And their equipment was top-tier.

Every strike landed harder.

Every technique hit sharper.

But even then, the bears weren’t weak.

The elite and mob units were still Level 5 Hell-Class monsters.

Their Star Power ranged between 31 and 34.

For most martial artists, facing even one of them would be a nightmare.

But Felecia’s Star Power was 49.

Which meant she was completely out of their league.

The only real threat in the forest was the Hol Bear Boss.

And fortunately for the two women, he wasn’t participating in the clash and was focusing on brewing beer.

Still, the bears had one advantage.

Numbers.

They came from every direction.

Claws slashing.

Bodies crashing through the undergrowth.

But Remedy was there to balance the battlefield.

Her second spirit flashed again and again, cutting through the pressure whenever the swarm grew too dense.

With careful movement and precise positioning, the two women slowly carved a path through the forest, toward the stream.

They couldn’t simply exterminate the entire incursion.

The Hol Bears were essential to the production of Golden Bear Rum.

Killing them all would destroy the resource.

So instead

They broke through the swarm.

And retreated.

Soon the trees thinned and the stream came into view.

Their vessel floated to the surface of the water, exactly where they had left it.

The moment they boarded, the craft pulled away from the forest.

Hol Bear Woods slowly disappeared behind them.

Inside the vessel, Felecia stretched her arms and grinned.

"Now that was fun."

Remedy leaned back slightly.

"At least now I don’t owe you anymore."

Felecia laughed.

"But it was fun, wasn’t it?"

Remedy glanced at her. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Then looked forward again through the vessel’s windscreen.

"...Yes."

"It was fun."

Back at the manor, Ivy stared at Adam like he had just murdered her entire family.

Her eyes were locked on the newly evolved Judgement in his hands.

"I missed it."

She said it again.

"I missed it."

Her voice carried genuine pain.

Earlier, Ivy had been working in her workshop when she sensed a fluctuation.

A very familiar one.

It was the same kind of resonance she felt whenever she created a new conduit.

But this one had been different.

And when she traced the source, It led straight to Adam’s room.

So she ran.

Only to find the door locked.

At that point, curiosity completely destroyed her self-control.

So she broke in.

Unfortunately...

She was still too late.

Adam looked at the pink-haired girl.

Then at the broken door.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

Ivy stepped closer.

Clearly planning to grab the scythe for inspection.

Adam immediately dismissed Judgement and the weapon vanished.

Ivy froze.

"...Hey."

Adam pointed calmly at the door.

"Fix it."

Ivy looked at the door.

Then looked back at Adam.

"...Do I have to?"

Adam stared at her.

The look on his face clearly said she could not be serious.

Ivy sighed.

"Fine."

She turned around and started repairing the door she had destroyed.

A few minutes later, the door was finally fixed.

Ivy turned back immediately.

Her eyes were already shining again.

"So..."

"Can I see the conduit now?"

Adam watched her for a moment.

Then nodded.

"Fine."

Honestly, he was curious too.

Ivy was the closest thing to a conduit expert he knew.
