Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 112: Surprise

"Happy birthday Silvia," he said to her.

"You remembered, I thought you had forgotten," tears of joy were threatening to fall.

"Why would I? Not in a million years," he replied.

"How did you...this is so beautiful," she uttered referring to the decorations and set ups.

"I had some help from those ladies over there," he nudged his head at Sentencia, Stella and Sarah.

"My mom also wanted to wish you a happy birthday, that’s why she’s here instead of sleeping," he teased at the last part. Mrs Elizabeth waved at her, Silvia was so touched by everything.

"And I got permission from the hotel’s management to set this up at their rooftop," he continued. His hand went to the back of his neck as he rubbed on it, "It costed a lot though," she couldn’t help but laugh and he shared in her laughter.

"Everyone here got you gifts but I want to give you mine first," he informed, he brought out a case which he opened to reveal a beautiful necklace.

Her fingers went to her lips, "It’s lovely," just like the previous one, or even more.

"Let me put it on you," he offered and did just that, it really looked nice on her.

"Throwing this surprise is already enough birthday present for me but thank you, I love you so much," she stated.

"Awwn," some of their friends responded which made the couple to laugh.

"I love you too," Davian responded.

"Thank you very much as well guys. Sentencia, Olivia, Mrs Elizabeth, everyone, thank you for this and for coming," Silvia appreciated them.

The rest of the night went well. She received her other gifts and made a wish on her beautiful and tasty cake before blowing out the candles.

They chatted and even played some games at some point, Mrs Elizabeth participated in some and it was really fun.

Soon, they decided to do some singing. They took it turn by turn so everyone could participate, no shying off. Lucas was the worse at singing- His singing voice was terrible and it made them laugh.

He dedicated the song to Sarah who laugh, blushing a little.

’This man isn’t going to leave her alone anytime soon,’ she thought. He has been asking her out for some while now but her answer remains the same. Not that he wasn’t a good person and he was also fun to be with but she isn’t just ready for a relationship yet.

Then it was Davian’s turn and he sang for Silvia. His singing voice wasn’t that bad, it was pleasant to the ears in fact. Silvia smiled throughout the song.

Then it was Silvia’s turn, she was a little reluctant as it as been so long since she same in front of others, but she decided to do it anyway and her melodic voice filled the air in the next minute.

Davian smiled at her, so lovingly and tranced by her singing voice at the same time. After they were done singing, Davian and Silvia moved close to the edge of the roof away from the others.

He hugged her from behind as they savoured the view, both from the starry skies and from the city’s lights.

"I can’t help but fall more in love with you, my princess," Davian whispered into her ears. She grinned from ear to ear like a cheshire cat.

"I get to discover new things about you everyday. Please sing to me everyday from now on," he requested and she chuckled.

"Thank you for this, Davian. This is literally the best birthday I have ever celebrated," she confessed after some while of peaceful silence. She turned towards him and hugged him and he returned the embrace.

After some more hours, they decided to call it a night. Davian had already hired people who will take care of cleaning up the rooftop, so they just decided to go home.

When they got to the parking lot, Ray’s car refused to start. Sentencia, Sarah, Lucas and Olivia were already gone.

Olivia came with her driver while Sentencia, Sarah and Lucas came in their own cars.

"Oh no, it refused to start but it was fine earlier. Why does it have to do this now? It’s almost so late to get a taxi," Stella whined.

"Just see if any is available on their booking outlet," Ray instructed.

"No need Ray. Take my car and just call the towing company for yours by tomorrow. We will go home with Silvia’s," Davian suggested.

"You sure?" Ray inquired.

"Yes, no prob. It’s already so late, it’s the least I can do for you for coming," Davian replied.

"It’s nothing, we wanted to be here as well," Ray responded.

"Okay, just return it tomorrow," Davian responded and so Ray and Stella went on his while Silvia, Davian and his mother went on Silvia’s.

"We will drop you off first mom," Davian told.

"Alright. Sorry for being a bother though," Elizabeth apologized. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

"No, it’s okay mom," Davian responded.

"Davian I think you are speeding too much," Silvia told. It was late so there were less vehicles on the road but it doesn’t mean too much speeding was advised.

"I’m not speeding, the accelerator is not functioning properly. Has it always been like this Silvia? It’s really dangerous," Davian inquired.

"No, it works perfectly fine," Silvia affirmed.

Then what was wrong?

"I need to make a drift but both the accelerator and brakes aren’t working well. Silvia, I think your car was tampered with," Davian informed.

"Tampered with?" Silvia responded. Davian took the drift, trying his best to stir the car properly without the brakes, and with the accelerator malfunctioning.

It made Silvia and Elizabeth to hold their seats though they were already putting on their seatbelts.

"Yes," Davian responded, confirming to Silvia’s question.

What? How? Why? Who would do that?- All these questions raced through Silvia’s mind as Davian tried his best not to get into an accident.

"Be careful Davian!" Elizabeth pleaded. But...

"Davian!"

"Wait!"

"No..."
