Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 110: Promise me
The next day was a saturday and they both didn’t go to work. Davian had woken up first, he told the cook to make the breakfast extra special.
The dining table was already set when Silvia walked passed, all dressed as if she was going out.
"Hey Silvia, wait," Davian made her to halt. She turned to him.
"Are you going out? Why don’t we have breakfast together first?" he smiled at her.
Her fists clenched as she gazed at him, why can’t he just let her hate him, for what he did, even if it’s just for a few hours?
Without responding, she turned around and left. That little action really did break his heart and dispirited him.
He sighed.
Silvia drove one of the cars herself, she was going to meet her mom at the mansion. When she got there her mom was a little surprised to see her as she didn’t inform her beforehand that she was coming. They both went to one of the patios.
"Silvia dear," Janet looked at her daughter with a caring expression.
Her parents were selfish and ignorant of her in the past but after Davian into her life, her mother has been trying her best to be more caring and attentive of Silvia’s feelings.
She doesn’t want to waste the rare opportunities to comfort her daughter and be there for her daughter. And she was really glad that Silvia herself was opening up more to her.
"You look so pale, have you been crying?" Janet continued and Silvia just hugged her.
"Mom..." she began to cry. "He kissed another woman, not just any woman but his ex,"
Janet just let her cry on her shoulders, she patted her back, comforting her.
They soon sat on one of the benches there.
"It must have been a mistake," Janet began.
"No it wasn’t mom. He kissed her back," Silvia replied.
"Kissed her back? That means the woman kissed him first?" Janet asked and Silvia nodded.
"How did you find out?" Janet asked further.
"He told me. He told me and apologized, he did promise it will never happen again but mom...I don’t know...I maybe wished he never told me about it. It hurts so much," Silvia replied.
"He did that? Isn’t that the best? Than for you to find out yourself just like I did," Janet responded.
"For a moment there I thought you were about to go through what I went through, it would have really disheartened me. But I know Davian is a good person.
"I can tell he really loves you. Not once have your father apologize for his affairs, not even when I first found out about it. Owning up to your mistakes and apologizing doesn’t make him less of a man but actually more of a man and a person," Janet elaborated.
"It was just a kiss Silvia and I’m not trying to justify him, cheating is cheating if it happened on purpose but what I’m trying to say is... you said it yourself and I’m sure it wouldn’t repeat itself again.
"It must hurt I know that, but accept his apology and let go of the pain. It’s for your own good, I wish I had taken this advice myself sooner," Janet added.
"Don’t stay angry at him for too long as a way of punishing him, don’t think accepting his apologies quickly makes you weaker or a pushover, it is when it keeps happening and he doesn’t keep to his promises but you keep accepting his apologies then you become a pushover.
"But now, if you don’t, you might just be pushing him away to the other woman, though it wouldn’t happen no matter what if he truly loves you," Janet continued.
Silvia held her mother’s hand and smiled at her, "Thanks mom."
Janet returned the smile, she nodded as she held her daughter back.
Meanwhile, Davian had gone out too to meet up with Lucas and Ray. He spent the rest of the day with them trying to think about anything else but Silvia, even if it’s just for a while but it wasn’t happening.
Towards evening, the trio went to get some drinks.
"Being honest was a wrong idea!" Davian declared and he gulped his shot in one go.
"Another!" he demanded.
"I think you have had just enough," Ray replied.
"No I haven’t," Davian responded and started to pour the shot himself.
"Man, you are already totally wasted," Lucas informed.
"I don’t care, I’m so stupid... I was so stupid," Davian began to cry.
"He’s drunk," Ray seconded.
"I should have just kept it from her, being honest sucks! What if...what if she never forgives me? What if she decides to leave me?" Davian continued to lament.
"Who? Silvia?" Ray asked.
"Yes!" Davian answered.
"Why would she do that bro? She loves you," Lucas responded.
"Because I cheated okay! I cheated!" Davian continued.
"I kissed Leah but it was just a damn kiss, I didn’t even know why I did it...but that damn kiss might make me to lose my princess. I can’t possibly live without her in my life anymore," Davian cried on.
Ray and Lucas just knew that day he wasn’t just asking for their advices randomly.
They took him home as he was already so drunk. They met Silvia who was already so worried about him, she can’t believe he was getting himself drunk while she was worrying her a** out.
They helped her to carry him to their room upstairs before they left. She sighed as she stared down at him on the bed. She soon sat close to him on the bed as she takes off his shoes and socks.
She wanted to stand up but he grabbed her arm and made her sit again.
"Don’t go, please don’t go Silvia," he pleaded, his eyes were open now but he looked drowsy and dishevelled. He still looked so handsome all the same.
"I’m sorry," he apologized for the thousandth time.
"It’s... it’s okay Davian," she replied.
"No, no it’s not okay princess," he wrapped his hands around her waist and rested his head on her laps.
"Promise me... promise me you wouldn’t leave me, just promise me. I won’t let you go if you don’t," he requested.
"Oh Davian..." she shook her head.
"Please... just promise me," he continued.
"..."
"Alright, I promise," she replied, after a short while.
"Kiss me as a swear," he requested, she didn’t know when she chuckled. She placed a kiss on his forehead.
"No, on the lips," he pouted. She laughed again, he can really be so cute.
She kissed his lips.
"Hmm, I missed that. You refused to let me touch you talkless of kiss you for the last few...years," he told, then she remembered he was drunk.
She snickered, "It’s just been a few days,"
"Huh?" he removed his head from her laps and rested it on his palm as he stared drowsily at her. "It felt like years," he added making her to laugh once more, he was really extra cute and funny when drunk.
"Urgh," he slumped his head back on her laps as he falls asleep.
She smiled bittersweetly at him, she let him sleep on her laps for some while as she caresses his dishevelled coffee brown hair. He held her waist so tightly as if he was so afraid that she will disappear if he doesn’t. His grasp on her loosen as time passed.
...
The next day morning, Davian woke up alone on the bed. He sits up slowly as he wondered where Silvia must have gone.
His head was throbbing. The door opened and Silvia walked in.
"Good morning drunk a**," she greeted. He was surprised by the greeting, wasn’t she mad at him anymore?
He smiled at her nonetheless, "Good morning princess,"
"I brought you some hangover soup, I made it myself, no help gotten this time," she returned the smile.
He huffed, she sat close to him and she brought the spoon of soup closer to her lips. She blew air on it as it was hot, then she brought it to his mouth.
"Ah," she told him, he parted his lips and drank the spoon of soup which she fed him.
"Good?" she inquired.
"It’s okay," he responded.
"Just okay?" she pouted her lips disappointed.
"Well, I would have fed you the rest but I have something to do at the study. Finish the rest of the soup then freshen up. I’ll be back in a few minutes," she added.
He nodded at her and she left.
When she came back in, he was already all freshened up and fully dressed. He smiled at her and he didn’t expect what she did next. She came closer to him and wrapped her hands around him as she hugs him.
