Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 37: A dumb stranger
Lia stood at her window, staring out at the already darkening sky. The cold wind blew through her hair and into her room, making her shiver and hug herself.
Her eyes were filled with fear and curiosity, and her heart was beating so loudly that anyone outside the room could hear it.
Tears slowly welled up in her eyes as her mind predicted bad things would happen that day. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
The increasing cold was a clear indication that the day was not going to end well.
Unexpectedly, the door slammed open. She gasped and turned to see her husband’s bandaged jaw.
"You want to let me out of here?" Lia demanded angrily, not caring why his jaw was bandaged; she was already aware that Sage had returned to Credia.
"I am not going to let you out, especially since the ice dragon is coming." Dexter appeared to be approaching her.
Lia tried to avoid him, but he grabbed her wrist and drew her close, wrapping her arm around her waist.
"You will remain here until I return for you." Dexter told her with an unflattering smile that caused her to frown. "Use your spell to seal the room right now!" He yelled, his voice commanding.
"What are your plans for this time? To kill the ice dragon?" Lia laughed loudly before growling. "Tonight will be your last night of breathing, my dear husband."
"Say that to yourself but do what I say. I have to get rid of someone before the problems arrive." Dexter pushed her away.
Lia quickly stopped herself from falling, and Dexter grinned at her, making her stare at him with curiosity.
"Who are you getting rid of?" She asked then gasped in realization. "No!"
"Yes!" Dexter laughed and turned away heading towards the door.
Lia’s eyes flashed bright green, and a force pushed the door shut, slamming it in front of Dexter’s face.
The man frowned deeply, clenched his fist, and turned to face Lia, who appeared confident.
"You never learn don’t you?" Dexter spat at her.
"I will not let you scar that girl than you have already." Lia growled at him.
"She is nothing but arrogant!" Dexter yelled.
"And that arrogant girl is the one you have been playing like chess ever since she stepped into the world." Lia growled in disgust.
Dexter burst out laughing. He laughed for a moment, then dashed towards Lia, grabbing both her wrists and staring at her as she trembled at his grip.
"Do not act like a saint, do not act like you care or she is the only one you have, you possess a black heart, black and disgusting." He growled at her, released her wrists and slammed his forehead with hers.
Lia fell to the ground and screamed in pain.
"What a waste of my time!" Dexter spat at her.
Suddenly a loud echo of a roar was heard making Dexter flinch.
A guard rushed into the room and bowed his head. "I have just received word that the ice dragon has arrived in Credia." He provided information.
Dexter’s eyes widened in surprise. "Earlier than I expected!" He exclaimed.
...
Cyrus’ gaze scanned the kingdom lazily, and he saw people coming out to see the dragons flying above their kingdom.
He was on Arthur, who was in his dragon form, and there were dragons, his guards, behind him.
Cyrus was impressed that Esteban had not arrived at the mages’ kingdom.
There was no doubt that Esteban would arrive, and the fool would be unaware that Cyrus would be present in the kingdom unless someone informed him, assuming they could.
They all landed in front of the castle to see Victor strangling one of the human guards, surrounded by many other dead guards.
Cyrus jumped off Arthur, appeared in front of Victor, and smashed the human guard’s head like a tomato.
The blood splattered on Victor, who immediately released the body, allowing it to fall to the ground.
"She has been in for a long while now sire," Victor informed and bowed his head at Cyrus.
Cyrus hummed and looked at the bodies laying on the floor.
"Once they come, attack but spare dear poor Esteban." Cyrus said and walked towards the large door.
He pushed the carving with ease, caressing his fingers on it.
It opened, revealing guards ready to attack him.
He maintained a calm expression, but his aura spoke of death, which the guards sensed because hesitation and fear filled their eyes.
"Surrender creature!" One of the guards yelled.
"Bad statement." A familiar voice mocked and Ashton walked in wearing a stern expression.
"Demon?!" All the guards exclaimed in shock.
Ashton extended his hand, revealing his demon claws, and his eyes turned pure black.
In an instant, he sliced the guards in the middle, clearing a path for Cyrus, who walked through it casually.
His gaze trailed around the castle, sensing his parrot’s low energy. "Poor child." He hissed and shook his head as he walked through a hallway that led directly to the dungeon.
He arrived to find the gate melted, Sage unconscious on the ground, and his nine-tailed fox sleeping on the large coat.
He walked towards her and stood on his heels pushing her flaming red her away from her face. "Disobedience causes a lot of bad things." He whispered.
"Keep quiet." Sage mumbled, her lips quivering.
"Still arrogant." Cyrus hissed and her eyes slowly opened revealing extreme lust.
"I do not understand anything, I feel like a stranger, a dumb stranger." Sage voiced, her lust filled eyes slowly tear filled.
Cyrus’s stared at her blankly.
"If I kiss you, you will become even dumber." He said dryly, placed his fingers on his lips and rubbed her lower lip with his thumb. "Or, give you energy because your resentment has increased." He added casually.
"I want to see my father, he is hurt." Sage growled through her teeth.
Cyrus’ eyes turned fierce at her words. "I want your lips on mine, my dear parrot."
