Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 101: Lianna’s truth 5
Over the course of many years, the mages were gradually wiped out by the Statkus mages.
Credia was filled with fear as all of the warriors who were always sent to battle never returned.
One faithful day, Lianna was asleep when she had a dream.
She returned to the darkness of the Statkus mage’s portal, but this time she could see the elder mages who had led her to the portal years before.
Lianna was taken aback by their appearance and asked, "Why did you summon me?"
"The time has come to exterminate your kind. You must pose as a false hero in order to lure them to the desert where the portal is located so that we can finally destroy them." Inkadon stated.
"You didn’t even thank me for removing that obstacle all those years ago." Lianna arrogantly said, referring to Genevieve.
She had always wondered where her sister had gone, not knowing whether she was dead or alive.
"Do not bring up a pointless topic in this discussion!" Jestia screamed.
"You must do it as soon as you wake up! Bring them to the portal so we can finally finish them!" Jorad screamed, and Lianna immediately opened her eyes, settling into a sitting position, gasping for air.
"Awful, disgusting creatures," She grumbled and jumped out of bed, sprinting all the way to the throne room, trying to catch her breath.
Lucian appeared exhausted as he sat on his throne, speaking to a group of confident-looking warrior mages who were preparing to ambush the Statkus mages that day.
"Father!" Lianna screamed and collapsed on the ground. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Lucian, who was frustrated, hollered. "What is your problem?! Can you not see that I am preoccupied with something important?"
Lianna grunted and stood up. "The Statkus mages... I know where their portal is located but to destroy them, we need all the mages to work together so that we can gain victory." She revealed and Lucian’s eyes grew wide.
"How is this possible?" One of the warrior mages asked in disbelief obviously not believing Lianna.
"I do not know either... It came like vision." Lianna said feigning innocence .
The warrior mages murmured in confusion while some in disbelief.
"We do not have a choice now, do we?" Lucian asked and groaned in frustration.
Lianna wore a hidden smile and replied, "We do not and thank you for believing me father, all I want is just peace and prosperity in our home."
The warriors present casted glances at each other while Lucian rubbed his face in exhaustion.
The elders were summoned that day, and they all believed Lianna, which led to them gathering all the mages in Credia and teleporting to the vast eerie desert, which was now covered in nothing but snow.
The portal was swirling in front of them, emitting a dangerous unstable aura. Growls, snarls, shrieks, and chant whispers could be heard, alerting the mages present.
They were all in fighting stances, with Lucian and Lianna leading the way.
The cold wind blew hard around them, increasing the tension, and the rage in the mage’s eyes could not be hidden.
"Do not be cowards and confront us! We will put an end to it right now!" Lucian yelled at the Statkus mages who were hiding behind the portal.
While his second hand gripped the sword, a bright green glow appeared above his hand.
Lianna remained silent throughout. In her mind, she was laughing at the mages who were about to die any moment.
Despite receiving no response from the Statkus mages, the mages remained vigilant and kept their gaze fixed on the portal, ready to strike.
The growls and snarls became more audible, and the three elder mages were the first to emerge from the portal.
They stood proudly, casting glances at Lianna before turning to face the army of mages in front of them.
"Surrender, and you will all live!" Jorad informed them.
"You monsters killed my husband and my children! You are all deserving of death!" In rage and pain, a female mage screamed.
"There will be no surrender! You filthy creatures have no place in this world and were never meant to exist. We are here to make certain of it!" The army roared behind Lucian as he growled.
Inkadon let out a loud cackle. "Unfortunate!"
"Death!" Jestia screeched and clutched her staff.
Statkus mages began to emerge from the portal like flies, charging directly at the mages, and a massive battle ensued.
Lianna exited the battlefield and stood on the outskirts, watching the action.
She felt nothing as she watched her fellow mages being slaughtered, disintegrated, and dismembered.
Just as she was about to win, a powerful invisible force pushed some of the Statkus mages, including Inkadon and Jestia, back into the portal.
"Who the hell is that?" Lianna grumbled in annoyance.
Genevieve appeared on the battlefield right away, but all of her fellow mages had been killed. She felt like she was being struck in the heart when she saw Jorad murder her father right in front of her.
Lianna’s jaw dropped as she saw her sister surrounded by a bright green glow controlling a strong wind that turned the portal into a vacuum.
It sucked all of the Statkus mages into the portal, and Genevieve made the portal vanish from view.
The glow around her faded, and she fell to the ground, sobbing, having lost so many.
Lianna was enraged and astounded that her sister had suddenly sealed up the Statkus mages and portal.
She had ruined everything!
Lianna decided to play the role of a false hero and approached Genevieve.
"Sister?" Lianna exclaimed.
Genevieve looked up to see her sister alive and well in front of her. Lianna helped her stand up and drew her into a hug.
"There are only humans left; it is best if you do not return; I will take care of everything." She sighed and drew away from the hug.
Genevieve looked at her sister, perplexed. "They are all gone and father..."
"Do not worry, you have sealed the portal; I will handle everything from here." Lianna made a firm remark.
Genevieve was perplexed because Lianna appeared unharmed, as if she had participated in the battle, and she didn’t appear to be affected by anything, not by all the death or seeing her after such a long time.
Lianna became aware of this and wondered if Genevieve had noticed anything as well.
"I forgive you for getting me banished all those years ago," Genevieve said with a pained smile before disappearing from her sight.
Lianna frowned deeply. "I do not wish for your forgiveness." She clenched her teeth and growled.
