"Mike?!" The tall guy chuckled as he walked toward her to hug her.

"Oh my, when did you return?"

"Just a few hours ago, I thought I could surprise Big Bro but it seems you were the one who got the surprise," Enim curled her lips into a smile as they released the hug.

"Since you came to meet your brother then why don’t you stay in the house till he arrives."

"No, no, no, I came as a surprise visit, I thought I’d meet Big Bro and surprise him but since he’s not around I think that would be later."

" Okay," Enim said with a chuckle while one of the maids came forward to give Bruno’s lash.

She took it and then crouched to tie it around Bruno’s neck.

"Enim—" Mike called as she turned her head to him.

"Uhmm," she stated.

"Please do me a favour?"

" What’s that?"

" Once Big Bro comes, please don’t tell him about my presence. "

"That’s a promise."

" Thanks, you’re the best, " he said with a smile and then turned his gaze to the steady dog Enim was administering.

" Bye, Bruno, " he waved at the dog but as the dog hustled its breath, Bruno focused its gaze on Enim.

Mike gently retracted his hand like he felt hurt and then placed it on his chest.

"Oh how can I forget, the dog is so fond of you," he said with a chuckle as they both laughed.

"He’ll grow over it, it’s just a matter of time for him to become bored of his master," Enim murmured as Mike’s laughter slowly died down, he turned to Enim, and furrowed his eyebrows, he was sure he’d heard those words before.

"You spoke like Prudence," Mike claimed as Enim turned to him and then shoved his words with a chuckle.

"Prudence?"

"Oh, I’m sorry, is just that you both coordinate a little."

"Oh, is that so? "

" I’m sorry if that annoyed you. "

"No, no, is just that I can’t help but remember that your brother mentioned it before. But would I ask—"

"What do you want to say?"

"This Prudence? What do you see in her? If you want to describe her then how would you?"

Mike breathed a deep breath as he pocketed his hands, and reasoned.

"One thing I can tell you is that despite the fact she became an enemy, I saw her as my number one. I can’t say much about her physique but when it comes to her character, she was strong, brave, and had the spirit of rebellion but I believe that she was naive."

" What? What are you talking about?"

" When she was with us she couldn’t realize that despite the differences both big bro had, Big Bro fell in love with her. "

" Seriously? Did he love her? "

"There was a time he thought of asking her out but all of a sudden, he changed his mind about her. I never knew love could turn into hatred between them because of a situation I’m yet to know."

"Could it be because of me?"

"No, no, it wasn’t you, it was only after her father’s death, I don’t know why but since then they’ve been against each other. If only Prudence knew the truth behind what happened."

"What are you talking about?"

"If I knew then I would have told you the truth and likewise, if you want to know the truth then I’m going to say what I know. Besides the wedding is at hand and I don’t want you to feel weird if you found it out from someone else. I’m just saying, learning this about Vixen’s past lover—"

"You don’t need to worry, I understand. Vixen’s past has a lot to hold, you’re just concerned, that’s all," she smiled.

"I’ll have to head on now, I’ll see you when I head back here and remember, shhh," he placed a finger on his lips as Enim laughed, she nodded and then placed a finger too.

"Promise," she said with laughter still having her finger on her lips.

"C’mon, let’s go, Bruno," when they went, Enim immediately took him to his bathroom giving him a nice and austerity bathing, it made him calm for some moment but then she had to struggle a bit to make him stay under the water.

Bruno after some force stayed like a good boy and once he was done with having his bath, he wiggled his body just to splash water about.

Enim raised her hand to shield her face, she turned a bit and then she turned once again with laughter.

After the bath, Enim took a drive to the hospital, a bouquet in her hand she got Ana’s favorite flowers as she happily walked through the halls.

She felt a bit of relief since she was able to get out of the house without taking men to protect her lasVixen would insist.

As she walked through the halls, she gave a stop at the ward where mothers were, she smiled as she stared through the glass door watching her mother get her medicine from the nurses.

She chuckled and then held the knob of the door just to open.

She couldn’t help but admit that both Enim and her mother were a carbon copy.

As she walked into the room she spoke in an enlightened tone.

"Hey mum," she called out in a jovial spirit diverting the attention of those in the room, the nurses finished their work and then excused the room for the two of them.

"Oh dear mum, did you miss me?" She questioned as she dropped the bouquet on a stool opposite the bed and then she hugged her wholeheartedly.

"I miss you so much," her mother said as she pattered her back.

When she got the call that Ana had recovered, she immediately came through to that place.

Her heart felt content as she walked into the place but she couldn’t help but wonder if Vixen knew about her recovery.

When she placed her arms around her and a head on her shoulder, she couldn’t help but admit the warmth she had when she stayed close to her.

The feeling was entirely different.

If only Enim was alive to see her mother okay after all her struggles.

"What about Vixen? Is he coming?" Ana said as they released the hug but Enim frowned.

How did she get to know Vixen?

Wasn’t she in a coma before Enim met Vixen?

"Mother, how did you get to know him?"

"He came a few hours ago and he said he was your fiancee, I was so shocked when I heard about it. I couldn’t help but burst into tears."

Enim chuckled.

"Did you find him perfect?" Enim asked.

"Hmm, I found him okay for you, but I want to know after all I don’t want to have the feeling of putting you at the end side. Vixen, how do you feel about him? Please be honest, he isn’t one of those men, is he?"

"Vixen?" While she stayed silent she couldn’t help but recall her times with Vixen and then after she was settled, she began to speak.

"Even if Vixen’s power, and status are high, he doesn’t make me feel like a nobody, he treats me like his princess. Trust me, Vixen is different from the men I met," obviously it was a lie after all she had to form for Ana.

In fact, if Ana asked the real Enim the question, she was sure she would have given her the same reply.

After what she had experienced with Vixen and his treatment, it was sure that Vixen must have made her live a life of rainbow and joy while he tormented her but what could she do?

She now has to answer the question that everyone would have expected from Enim.

"He’s cute unlike the other men, he’s different, funny, caring, and-"

"Do you love him?" Her mother questioned, while Enim spoke, she was in haste she was unable to figure out that the question Ana said needed her to reason so without directions, she blurted out.

"Yes," she admitted.

After discovering that her words were the wrong ones, she turned to Ana to see the effect her words must have had.

Ana had her lips stretched from side to side.

She inwardly scolded herself for answering the question, why did she have to speak in emotions?

Enim tried to reject the words and then she told herself she wasn’t into Vixen.

It was only because she needed Ana to feel pleasure from Enim’s happiness and that explained why she had to lie.

Still, there was no excuse for that, she scolded herself for making a sure choice.

After she was done chastising herself, she decided to change the topic so she would be able to gain what she had come for.

"Mother, I’d like to ask you something."

"What’s that?"

"Father," a sour look appeared on her when she stated those words, Enim reached out for her hand gently caressing it.

" I know this would dig up buried emotions in your heart but Mother please, I need your sincerity."

After a certain while, she nodded and then decided to face it head-on.

" Okay, I’d like to hear what you want to ask."

" Mum, do you know something about father which I don’t know? Like something you have to tell me, maybe something about Father’s identity. What I should know about him? "

Enim stared at Ana’s eyes carefully and then she couldn’t help but ant

icipate the answers.

Whatever this may bring about, she was ready to face it head on.
