Chapter 246: Enim’s place

Abi walked over to the side in the courtyard, she was about to enter the car she had booked when she had a call from the man’s phone.

Abi lowered her gaze to look at the device, her eyebrow creased a bit and then she placed it in her ear right after she had answered the call.

"I’m sure you must be the royal guest," Abi said to the person on the other side. Then in the next movement silence occupied their conversation.

Abi had a frown on her face, she folded her arms trying to wonder.

"Why are you silent all of a sudden? I thought you sent someone to trail me?" Abi mockingly stated but then person still remained silent.

"So, you’re not going to answer me," Abi added, she heaved a deep breath and then once again adjusted the strands of her hair.

"You should come get your man, as he’s about to devote his life to God. Perhaps you could join him. I won’t say more because only God knows your identity, but I suggest you stop following me. You’re invading my privacy," Abi declared before hanging up the call.

Abi stared at the phone a while as she smirked, then she dropped the phone on the ground and then entered the car.

Abi started the engine and drove off, using the car’s tire to smash the device as she went.

"What did she say?" Matthew inquired of his associate, whom he had tasked with hiring someone to shadow Abi.

The woman looked at Matthew, her lashes fluttering silently. Her expression clearly revealed her reluctance to speak.

"Sir, she found out that someone was trailing her. Sir, our man is about to get baptized at the church."

Hearing the woman, Matthew had a frown in confusion and shock; "Baptize?" Matthew stated his words in stun.

"Yes sir," the woman said disappointedly, she lowered her head a bit.

"Okay then. Maybe his phone, try and track where his phone is at," Matthew suggested.

"Certainly, Sir," the woman responded, glancing at her phone for details. As she examined the device, her brow furrowed with confusion. She then brushed back a few strands of hair before lifting her eyes to meet Matthew’s gaze.

"His phone isn’t appearing on the signal list, and even the onsite trackers aren’t picking up anything," she told Matthew, ensuring he grasped her point.

Matthew sighed deeply, placing a hand on his hip, fully aware of what his sister was capable of.

"She must have destroyed the device," he murmured, then he raised his head to meet the woman’s gaze.

"Get your man out of the church as possible as you can. She’s not just going to baptize him, I’m sure she’s planning on punishing him," Matthew informed the woman.

"I’ll contact the management of the church immediately," the woman stated her words, Matthew nodded in agreement.

"Thank you. I’ll call you when your needed," Matthew said to the woman.

"Yes sir," the woman said with a small bow and then she walked out of the office.

Matthew appeared concerned; an unexpected surge of tension coursed through him.

He really wanted to do something at the moment but then he was powerless. If he calls Abi, then things might just turn upside down for her.

He gazed at the empty spot in his office for a moment, contemplating his next move. Then, with determination, Matthew strode over to his desk, picked up his phone, and perched on the desk to make a call to Vixen. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

For a brief moment, the call was silent until Vixen’s voice broke through; "Hey," he said in a hoarse tone.

"Vixen, it seems that Abi realized she was being tailed, which means it’s time to switch to our backup plan," Matthew said, noticing Vixen’s chuckle coming from the other end.

"I told you that this wouldn’t work but you wouldn’t listen to me."

"Vixen, let’s put the blame aside for the moment; what’s done is done. Now, we need to focus on finding a solution since Abi doesn’t realize what she’s getting involved in."

"Where was her last location?" Vixen inquired.

"Well, she stopped at a catholic church," Matthew casually stated but then he heard Vixen growl.

"Did something happen?" Matthew asked curiously.

"What location was the church at?"

"I’m not sure but I’m going to send you the location," Matthew stated, he retracted the phone from his ear and then send the location to Vixen.

"So- " Matthew was about to speak but then he was interrupted by Vixen’s words.

"Matthew, Abi. Why is she here?" Vixen said with a growl making Matthew frown in confusion.

"What are you talking about?"

"She’s at the church so there’s only one place she must be heading to. You know what, Matthew, I’ll send you the location and you do one thing. Either you go to meet her, or you ask one of your officials."

"I really want to send one of my officials but after what she’d done to one of them. I think is advisable that I should go, she’ll might listen to me if I tell her the whole truth."

"But you know that is going to spoil the whole plan," Vixen stated with a grunt.

Matthew stood up the desk in disturb, a frown on his face while he walked towards the side of his office, staring through the ceiling to floor window; "I know but then Abi doesn’t know what she’s getting herself into," Matthew spoke.

"At the moment we’re all in our powerless state, I still have to do somethings before Abi can know anything. That’s why I think you just follow her. Don’t let her know anything about you or else is going to be dangerous."

"So where do you think she’ll beheading to?"

**

Abi held the wheel of the car, her leg on the accelerator of the car while the infotainment system of the car informed her about the directions at which she was heading to.

She looked at the map on the system, seeing she was just twelve minutes away from the place. It took a while for her to continue driving, and then after the moment, she stepped on the brakes.

Abi stared through the window as she looked at what she came for.

The name, "Enim Zoon Joe."

She came out the car, walking through the cemetery and then she marched up to Enim’s grave.

The ground of her grave was placed with flowers and letters which were carefully persevered by the workers of the cemetery.

"Hi, Enim Zoon," Abi spoke the grave, she adjusted the strands of hair that had obstructed her face due to the breeze.

"I’m sure that you must be resting where you are. Precisely speaking, I’m sure that you’re happy wherever you have. Vixen is doing well, and of course, your little boy. He’s enjoying and being pampered by his father," Abi said and then in the next moments she chuckled with the thoughts of how ridiculous it was speaking to someone’s grave.

"I don’t know if you can hear me but what is happening now is practically ridiculous for me because I’ve never spoken to anyone’s grave. Not even my mother’s grave. So, speaking to your grave is kind of weird. I don’t know if you can hear me but right now, I just need your help," she paused, heaving a short breath.

"I know, coming to Vixen’s past seems weird and kind of intimidating but then I’m doing this because I promised Arthur. I promised him to get his father out of jail, and I don’t know if you can do it but then I want you to help me because Vixen is suffering for something that he didn’t do. He needs help sincerely," Abi said and then she paused.

She heaved a deep breath and then tried to force a smile on her face.

"I just hope you can help me out. Is there something that links to your past that I need to know about? Maybe it’ll be able to save Vixen."

Abi stated, hoping that some miracle would happen, or just like in the movies where the atmosphere of the cemetery would becoming windy like the person in the grave is conversating with the living but then there was nothing.

Abi licked her lips and then bit her lower lips then she said, "Well then it seems I should be heading out now. I just came to say hello," Abi tried to force a smile.

She turned to leave but then she was unexpectedly wrapped around, feeling someone tried to place an intoxicated handkerchief on her nose.

Abi used her force, trying to remove the person’s arm so she wouldn’t fall unconscious but then the person was stronger it made it difficult for her as she kept struggling.

Though her force on the person seemed to be working she was about to release herself when she grunted.

She got hit on the head.
