Chapter 969: Chapter 969: The Birth of the Third Daughter (Part 3)

"Oh." Having such a husband who is happy to deceive himself, Ji Yunhuan had nothing much to say.

Qi Cheng looked at Ji Yunhuan and said, "I’ve already thought of a name for our daughter, so I’m sure we’ll have a daughter."

"What’s the name?"

"Qi Yin, how’s that name?" Qi Cheng looked at Ji Yunhuan expectantly.

"I think it sounds nice." Anyway, Ji Yunhuan never had any opinions about names.

"See, you like it too!" Qi Cheng gazed at her belly with satisfaction, as if he could already see a lively daughter through her belly.

"Uh..." Ji Yunhuan said, "The little one just kicked me."

"She’s eager to come out." Qi Cheng gently placed his hand on Ji Yunhuan’s belly, constantly coaxing the little baby to be patient.

Ji Yunhuan sat on the chair and glanced around, noticing many people secretly watching them.

No way around it, Qi Cheng was really flashy.

Ji Yunhuan remembered he wasn’t like this before; he used to enjoy being alone in whatever he did, even needing to have a whole place to themselves when they went out to eat just to avoid being disturbed. But now, he seemed to love flaunting their affection in public.

Ji Yunhuan felt an urge to cover her face; in front of others, everyone else’s husband seemed normal, but her husband always looked somewhat like he wasn’t quite right.

"Sister Yunhuan, here you are." Su Zi walked over with Ruirui in tow.

Ruirui had been especially clingy to Su Zi lately, probably feeling that Ji Yunhuan’s pregnancy took her attention away from him, so he found himself a new protector.

Ji Yunhuan said, "A’Zi."

She pushed Qi Cheng away, "Su Zi’s here, stop messing around."

Qi Cheng also looked up, taking a glance at Su Zi and Ruirui...

Ever since he had the thought of a ’daughter’, Qi Cheng found Ruirui more annoying.

Just thinking that if he had had two daughters before, plus this one in the belly, he would have had three daughters. What a delightful thing that would be!

So, Qi Cheng wasn’t just a little regretful.

"Daddy, hug me." Ruirui came over and immediately started climbing onto Qi Cheng’s knee.

He was different from Yangyang; now that Yangyang had grown up, he could play elsewhere on his own for quite some time, but Ruirui was a bit younger and more dependent on his parents. If he didn’t see them for a while, he’d get upset.

Now, seeing that Qi Cheng’s lap was empty, he immediately climbed on.

"You’re so grown and still want me to hold you?" Qi Cheng protested.

"..." Ji Yunhuan glared at him, hoping he would be warmer to his son, and only then did he grudgingly fall silent.

Su Zi stood to the side, watching their family with a smile.

Ji Yunhuan said to Su Zi, "Have a seat and rest for a while? Are they still talking?"

Some of the elders were inside talking, and many of the Bai Family’s relatives had come to see Bai Liyan’s son.

Bai Liyan was his father’s only son, and now, his son could very well be the future heir of the Bai Family.

So, everyone was very invested in this month-old baby.

"Yes." Su Zi said, "I watched for a while, but couldn’t join the conversation, so I came out."

Ji Yunhuan smiled.

Su Zi looked at Ji Yunhuan’s belly, "Sister Yunhuan, you’re due soon, right?"

"Next month." Ji Yunhuan said, "This is my third, I’m beginning to feel a bit embarrassed."

"What’s there to be embarrassed about? As long as Qi Cheng takes care of them, why worry they won’t be raised well?" Su Zi said, giving Qi Cheng a glance, to which Qi Cheng had no objection.

Ji Yunhuan glanced at Qi Cheng, remembering when she had Ruirui, Qi Cheng was the most hardworking; he had to work, take care of him, and endure the pressure from the family...

Thinking back now, it probably won’t be as hard as it was back then!

Since it was inconvenient for Ji Yunhuan, they didn’t stay long at the Bai Family. Leaving the two kids there, Ji Yunhuan and Qi Cheng returned home.

"What’s wrong?" Once home, Qi Cheng suddenly asked.

"What do you mean?" Ji Yunhuan didn’t understand what he was asking.

"It’s just that you suddenly went very quiet." He spoke, and she didn’t argue, seeming to listen to everything quietly, quite well-behaved.

Ji Yunhuan looked at Qi Cheng, "Just chatting with Su Zi made me suddenly remember how tough it was before. It feels much happier now than it did back then."

"Really?"

Ji Yunhuan sat on the sofa, looking at Qi Cheng, "I remembered Jiangling, when I was having Ruirui. Back then, Qi Cheng, you were so hard-working."

"Not hard at all." Qi Cheng held Ji Yunhuan’s hand, "To me, as long as I didn’t lose you, all the hardships were nothing."

Ji Yunhuan didn’t say anything; her gratitude for Qi Cheng couldn’t be expressed in just a few words.

"Madam." The female housekeeper walked in, "These are the maternity photos taken earlier."

"Let me see." Wanting to keep some memories, Ji Yunhuan had taken maternity photos a few days ago.

The female housekeeper handed over the photos, Ji Yunhuan flipped through a few, showing them to Qi Cheng, "Qi Cheng, doesn’t your wife look beautiful?"

Qi Cheng glanced at the photos, then at Ji Yunhuan, and said, "Not really."

"..." Damn, usually he only spoke pleasing words, but today he’s purposely undermining her.

Ji Yunhuan glared at him and was about to speak when Qi Cheng added, "She looks even more beautiful in person."

"..." Ji Yunhuan rolled her eyes at him, "How could I? The photos are all enhanced, I’m not nearly this good-looking in real life."

However, she was quite pleased with how the photos turned out considering she was pregnant.

Qi Cheng discontentedly said, "Wife, are you doubting my taste?"

"I don’t want to argue with you anymore."

Ji Yunhuan let the female housekeeper put away the photos and said to Qi Cheng, "You’re too talkative, I can’t win against you."

Twenty days later, Qi Yin was born, naturally.

Ji Yunhuan considered herself quite lucky as all three of her children were born naturally without any major complications.

She had to admit, she had good luck in this aspect.

Despite previously giving Qi Cheng so much reassurance, ultimately, as he wished, they had a daughter, and Qi Cheng was very pleased.

In the morning, Ji Yunhuan was still in bed, not yet risen, when she saw Qi Cheng walking around the room holding their daughter.

"You’re up so early?" The baby had a nanny for night care and didn’t sleep in their room, so it was clear Qi Cheng had brought her over early.

"Wife, just look at how adorable our daughter is! She looks different every day, more beautiful than yesterday." Qi Cheng said, not forgetting to bring her over to Ji Yunhuan to see.

The baby was only ten days old, and she naturally looked much better than when she was just born, changing day by day.
