Married to My Ex-Fiancé's Cousin-Chapter 780: Use Every Trick on Her_1
Qi Cheng’s sister-in-law went to the hospital. Fang Zihuan had been staying there ever since he was injured by Qi Mo.
She pushed open the door and walked in. When she saw the man lying on the hospital bed, she didn’t even give him a smile, her face cold as ice.
The moment Fang Zihuan saw her, he immediately tried to sit up. The nurse beside him quickly reached out to help him.
His gaze fell on her, and he gave a relieved smile. "You finally came to see me!"
In reality, it had been a very long time since they last met.
"See you?" Her tone was indifferent. "Where do you get the confidence to think I’d come see you? You threatened me with Qi Mo. I just want to take my son back."
Fang Zihuan didn’t mind her cold attitude. "It’s okay. Doesn’t matter why you’re here. The point is, you’re here."
She walked to a chair on the side and sat down, crossing her legs. Her work suit made her legs look long and attractive. She looked at him coldly. "You said on the phone that as long as I came here, you would let Qi Mo go?"
"Aren’t you here now?" Fang Zihuan looked at her tenderly. "You can keep me company and talk with me! You’ve been hiding at the Qi Family’s house lately. I rarely get to see you."
Although he had thought about going to the Qi Family’s house to find her, he just didn’t have the guts to do it.
She responded to his words, "I thought the relationship between us was already clear. Why do you keep doing these ridiculous things?"
"Because I love you." These simple words put a lot of pressure on her.
Seeing him made her uneasy. "You’ve already ruined everything for me. Is that not enough? Fang Zihuan, I can’t bear your kind of love."
He remained silent, looking at her. His calm demeanor felt terrifying.
How did she not see, when they first met, that he was such a deeply scheming man? 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"You should let Qi Mo go. He’s just a child and doesn’t understand." She said.
"I won’t let him go!" Fang Zihuan pointed to his own leg suspended in a sling. "Do you see this? The doctor said I’ll need two to three months of bed rest before I can walk, and it’s all because of your precious son."
Of course, he wouldn’t say that in reality, Qi Mo wasn’t the one who caused such serious injuries. Qi Mo couldn’t have possibly hurt Fang Zihuan this badly.
The current situation was something he had brought upon himself.
Only this way could he make a big deal out of it, forcing her to come to him.
He had gone to great lengths just to see her.
She said, "Everything Qi Mo did is my fault. I apologize on his behalf. Now can you let him go, Mr. Fang?"
Her tone lacked sincerity, but she had no choice but to bow her head in front of Fang Zihuan. It was probably the most straightforward and simple solution.
He smiled. "I can let Qi Mo go. But how are you going to compensate me?"
"What compensation do you want?"
"Take care of me until I recover." Fang Zihuan replied. "If you don’t agree, I have no choice. Even if I die, you won’t get to see him."
"..."
His smile was pure yet shameless. "Let me think about it. How about the topic of Minister Qi’s son abusing his power? You should be well aware, as a major TV station executive, how powerful online trolls can be."
She scoffed. "Do you naïvely think you can use this chance to take down Qi Hanting?"
"Why not? I’ve found him unpleasant for a long time." His tone carried a threat. "Besides, you hate him too, don’t you? I’ve done so much to help you get rid of your troubles."
His words made her feel her heart tearing with pain.
Over the years, her relationship with her husband had never been good. Every time they met, they would say the most heartless things to each other.
Yet, seeing Fang Zihuan targeting her husband, even if she knew he wouldn’t be seriously harmed, her heart slowly began to ache.
In the end, from marriage till now, the only man she cared about was her husband.
She hadn’t loved anyone else.
Fang Zihuan noticed her silence and raised his eyebrows, asking, "What’s wrong? Worried about him?"
...
Although it was he who used her husband to threaten her, seeing her hesitate because of her husband made him unhappy. "Seems like I underestimated your relationship. Such deep marital affection; it’s touching."
"I don’t know what you’re talking about!" she denied.
No matter in front of whom, she would never admit she still had feelings for her husband.
Love him? That was the biggest joke in the world.
There was no way she could love him.
But Fang Zihuan had watched her for too long; her expressions couldn’t deceive him.
Though he was displeased, his face still held a smile of appreciation. "If it doesn’t matter to you, that’s good too. Or, we could join forces against him?"
"Keep dreaming!" she said coldly. "Even if I don’t love him anymore, for the sake of our child, I won’t go against him. That’s a principle!"
Besides, legally, she and her husband were still married.
Their interests were tied together.
As Mrs. Qi, she understood very well that if something happened to her husband, she wouldn’t be able to retreat unscathed either.
This was the benefit of a political marriage. The couple’s interests were bound together.
It was also the ridiculous aspect of this marriage. Even without love, they had to consider each other’s interests. Because of this, they had never divorced.
Thinking it over, she couldn’t help but think that among the brothers in this family, Qi Cheng was actually the smartest.
At least he could control his own feelings, marry the woman he loved, and if he couldn’t live with her anymore, a divorce wouldn’t affect him.
Her husband and her second brother, however, didn’t even have the freedom to divorce.
Fang Zihuan didn’t push her further, just looked at her. "Have you made up your mind? Stay here to take care of me or have me keep your son locked up? Young Master Qi has a bad temper. The servants I called to take care of him were beaten by him. Should I just leave him hungry all the time?"
"If you just want me to take care of you, fine! I’ve done it before," she agreed straightforwardly for Qi Mo’s sake. Taking care of Fang Zihuan wasn’t something new to her; apart from feeling disgusted, it wouldn’t affect her much.
In her husband’s worst moments toward her, she had relied on this man, even if only for a moment.
Many things had happened since then, and her relationship with Fang Zihuan grew closer and closer.
