Married to My Ex-Fiancé's Cousin-Chapter 1002: The Biased Dad
Qi Cheng heard this and frowned, "What, now that you have Brother Zi Han, you’ve forgotten about your dad? Even if he leaves, don’t you still have your dad?"
Is this still his daughter?
It’s as if without her Brother Zi Han, she couldn’t survive.
Qi Cheng felt frustrated.
She’s still so young, yet she already favors others, what will happen when she grows up?
Qi Yin realized she couldn’t reason with Qi Cheng, so she turned her gaze to Zi Han, "Brother Zi Han, can you not leave?"
Compared to Qi Yin, Zi Han was more open-minded than anyone.
He smiled and comforted Qi Yin, "It’s okay, I’ll come back to see you one day."
"When is ’one day’?" Qi Yin didn’t want to be apart from him for even a second.
Zi Han said, "There will always be that day."
Even though he didn’t know when he’d be able to return, or if he would ever come back.
Ji Yunhuan looked at her daughter’s unwilling appearance, then at Zi Han, and said, "Once Zi Han goes over there, he’ll start school. When you’re on vacation, I’ll have someone bring you back to play with Qi Yin. How does that sound?"
"Thank you, Auntie," Zi Han said gratefully.
Even so, when it was time to send him off, Qi Yin kept pulling Zi Han’s hand, wanting to go with him.
Ji Yunhuan understood; kids can be stubborn. She could understand, but Qi Cheng...
After Zi Han left, he worriedly said to Ji Yunhuan, "Have you noticed? Our daughter is too easily coaxed away by others."
"Really?"
"She used to only think about Feng’er, and now it’s Zi Han all the time. This won’t do." Qi Cheng’s goal was to raise his daughter to be a cool and aloof young lady, not like this.
Ji Yunhuan said, "You’re overthinking it. Qi Yin is still so young; isn’t it normal for her to like other kids?"
"No, I need to discipline her properly," Qi Cheng decided firmly.
Ji Yunhuan sighed, "Alright, alright! Go ahead and manage her."
At this moment, Qi Yin was still upset about Zi Han leaving.
She was sitting alone in the courtyard, resting her chin on her hands, as if contemplating life.
Yangyang was off school today, and when he came downstairs, he saw her and walked over, "Why did you come here alone?"
Usually, when Qi Cheng was home, she’d cling to him and wouldn’t think of running off here to daydream.
Qi Yin sighed and looked at Yangyang, "Brother."
Her tone was very sweet when calling him.
Yangyang looked at her, "What’s wrong?"
"Brother Zi Han left," Qi Yin said sadly, "When will I get to see him again?"
"..." Yangyang looked at her helplessly, "When Ruirui and I are not here, you don’t miss us like this. Is Brother Zi Han really that great?"
Though Yangyang also thought Zi Han was very nice, he didn’t think he was "that" great.
Qi Yin said, "I just can’t bear to part with him!"
Just as she said that, Qi Cheng’s voice rang out, "Qi Yin."
Yangyang stood up and looked at Qi Cheng, "Dad."
Already half-grown, Yangyang looked particularly composed now.
Qi Cheng glanced at him, "Not going out today? You actually have the patience to stay home with your sister?"
"It’s the weekend, resting in the morning," a hobby class awaits in the afternoon.
Qi Cheng said, "Alright, noted, just stay away from my daughter."
Yangyang: "..."
He saw Qi Cheng pick Qi Yin up and chuckled, teasing, "Is she your only child, and not us? No wonder Ruirui always says you’re biased; it seems true."
Qi Cheng paused, "Ruirui said that?"
"Yes, Dad only loves Qi Yin and not him, Ruirui’s been upset for a long time."
Only Yangyang didn’t care about these things.
But looking at it now, Dad really was biased.
Qi Cheng seriously said, "Tell Ruirui to come see me, and I’ll set him straight."
Yangyang followed Qi Cheng into the house, "Dad should be soothing Ruirui; he’s been sad for a while."
"No wonder he hasn’t spoken to me recently," Qi Cheng only now realized that Ruirui was upset with him.
He looked at Yangyang, "How come you’re not jealous!"
Yangyang smiled lightly, "I’m not Ruirui."
"..."
Yangyang went upstairs for a while and then came back down, Ji Yunhuan heard him say, "Mom, I’m going out."
"Where to?" It wasn’t time for class yet.
"I’m going to hang out with Xuanxuan," Yangyang said as he headed out the door.
Ji Yunhuan watched her son’s back and realized he really had grown up.
He had ideas and could make his own decisions.
Not long after Yangyang left, Ruirui came over, hugging Ji Yunhuan’s leg, "Mom, save me."
"What’s wrong?" Ji Yunhuan asked curiously, looking at him.
Ruirui made a face, "Dad wants to scold me."
"What did you do wrong?"
"I didn’t do anything wrong!"
"Then why does he want to scold you?" Ji Yunhuan was puzzled, wondering what Qi Cheng had done to upset Ruirui.
At home, Ji Yunhuan felt like a judge, always upholding justice; whenever Ruirui felt wronged by Qi Cheng, he’d come to Ji Yunhuan.
Of course, the little guy sometimes had his little schemes. Like when Qi Cheng upset him, although Qi Cheng hadn’t done anything, he’d deliberately make things up.
Despite being so small, he was quite skilled at finding ways to trouble his dad.
Ji Yunhuan took Ruirui downstairs, seeing Qi Cheng in the living room with Qi Yin, and asked curiously, "Qi Cheng, what did you do to upset Ruirui?"
"What did I do? I’m just looking for him! Ruirui, come here," Qi Cheng felt he needed to explain things clearly to him.
Ruirui hid behind Ji Yunhuan, looking at Qi Cheng, "I’m not coming over."
"Why not?"
"I don’t want to be near you," Ruirui said with a look of disdain.
"..." Qi Cheng felt his temple twitch; his son grows up day by day, and gets more troublesome day by day. Ruirui is not as sensible as Yangyang; he’s a total troublemaker, always figuring out ways to annoy Qi Cheng.
Ji Yunhuan looked at Ruirui hiding behind her, "What did your dad do to make you dislike him so much?"
"Anyway, he doesn’t like me. He only likes my sister. I’m jealous!" Ruirui said, "I don’t want him anymore."
"Come over here," Qi Cheng said, "Let’s talk it out."
"Are you going to hit me?" Ruirui looked at Qi Cheng incredulously.
Qi Cheng was dumbfounded; where did this kid get that idea? When did I say I was going to hit him?
Ji Yunhuan looked at Qi Cheng suspiciously, "Do you usually hit him a lot? Otherwise, why would he be so scared of you?"
"No way," Qi Cheng said, feeling very wronged, "He’s just trying to frame me. If I hit him often, would he dare act smug around me?"
