Chapter 229: MAIN STORY FINALE (2)

WHERE DID these people come from?

Sohee was surprised when he checked his Picstagram account and realized that he had gained over 50,000 followers in just one day.

Am I online famous now?

Just after he posted two pictures on his account with the username @goldsohee?

The first post he made (after he deleted all his previous posts) was composed of his favorite pictures from his prenuptial photoshoot.

Then the second post he uploaded was a family picture with Kim Heedo, President Kang Nari, Vice Chairman Kim Dohan, Kim Haewon, and Kim Hanhae. But he blurred the twins’ faces because the twins wanted to keep their identities as chaebols a secret.

Kim Heedo used to hide that he was a chaebol, too.

But his husband decided to reveal his real identity for their plan.

"Hyung, your photo with Heedo Sunbae-nim went viral," Cho Euntak said while checking his phone. "But don’t read the comments."

"Most comments are thirsting over Kim Heedo," Hong Sera said while also scrolling on her phone. "It’s not like it’s new. Kim Heedo has always been famous, especially among Omegas, since he’s a handsome Dominant Alpha. But now that people know that he’s a chaebol, they’ll flock to him even more— and some of them don’t care even if he’s already married." She lifted her head and looked at Sohee with a worried look on her face. "Will you be alright, Oppa?"

Sohee sipped his strawberry smoothie while thinking about how to answer.

He took a stroll with his twin babies.

I’m bored staying at home, even though I’m supposed to be resting for the big day.

Hong Sera and Cho Euntak accompanied him because the two were free, and they wanted to see Kim Woochul and Kim Woosung.

Of course, it wasn’t only the three of them.

My babies are the future successors of the Ilsung Group, after all.

Hence, the Mrs. Go and Mrs. An— the two nannies— were with them.

Kang Sul (Shin Kang’s apprentice), was now Sohee and the babies’ official personal bodyguard. That meant Kang Sul had been promoted as a team leader. Kang Sul had five subordinates under his command.

Of course, that means those five people are also my bodyguards.

"Oppa?"

"Hyung?"

"Ah, sorry for suddenly spacing out," Sohee said, putting down his smoothie on the table. "I’m fine. I trust Heedo. But, if he breaks my trust, I’m strong enough to leave him and take my babies with me."

Not that I can imagine Heedo cheating on me— we’re bonded mates, after all.

And they were, apparently, fated pairs.

"I like how strong and independent you are, Oppa," Hong Sera said proudly. "I know Heedo wouldn’t, but if your marriage with him ends, I’ll help you get as much alimony as possible by lending you our family lawyer." frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

"It sounds like you’re cursing their marriage, Noona," Cho Euntak said teasingly. "But, kidding aside, I can’t imagine either Sohee Hyung or Heedo Sunbae-nim cheating. They’re just too in love with each other."

Hong Sera nodded in agreement. "I know stereotypes aren’t good, but we can’t deny that Sohee Oppa and Heedo are your classic Alpha and Omega couple. If one of them dies, the other will die as well—just like a pair of lovebirds."

Right?

"Anyway, you didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement with Heedo. Right, Oppa?"

"Yeah, Heedo and my in-laws didn’t want me to sign a prenup," Sohee said, shrugging. "I guess Heedo is confident that our marriage won’t fail. I am, too."

Hong Sera and Cho Euntak smiled and nodded— both obviously happy for him.

Sohee then excused himself to check his phone because his notification kept blowing up.

Oh.

My followers are increasing— I should mute the notifications.

He was already starting to get weird messages from weird people, so he closed his DM. But he kept the comment section open.

"Sera-ya, Euntak-ah, are netizens still talking about Lee Junsu and Sanha?"

Sohee had to ask because he muted all things related to Lee Junsu and Sanha— including those two’s names.

"Well, their fans are still talking about them," Hong Sera said, smiling apologetically at Sohee as if she felt bad sharing the news with him. "But the general public doesn’t seem to care about them anymore, Oppa. Only his fans are trying to make Lee Junsu and Sanha relevant again."

"I can’t believe they still have fans."

"Oppa, don’t worry. The Ilsung Group, our Daesung Group, and even Garam Oppa— we’re all pressuring all the big news stations, newspapers, online news sites, and even tabloids not to release an article about the two. There are reporters who are bound to rebel, but we can deal with them easily."

Hearing that from the chaebol princess was a huge relief.

"And, Hyung, people our age are more interested in you and Heedo Sunbae-nim. A handsome chaebol Alpha is bound to get more interest than an Alpha idol involved with drugs. I know because I keep writing hit articles on gossip forums, praising Hyung’s relationship with Heedo Sunbae-nim," Cha Euntak said cheerfully, giving him a thumbs up. "Our plan is working."

Sohee smiled and nodded. "Thank you for the support, Sera-ya, Euntak-ah."

***

THEY’RE so cute!

Sohee couldn’t help but take pictures of the sleeping Kim Woochul and Kim Woosung.

With the help of the nannies, he gave his twins a bath earlier.

And, now, her babies were bundled up warmly while sleeping on their huge bumper bed.

Heedo ordered a customized bumper bed that’s really, really huge and comfortable.

"Are you going to post their pictures on your social media, too, Hyung?" Kim Heedo asked after sitting next to him on the bed, wrapping an arm around Sohee’s waist. "That’s fine with me as long as you don’t show their faces."

"Of course, I have no intention of showing our babies’ faces on the internet either," Sohee said. He was only being active on social media because he didn’t want Lee Junsu and Sanha’s release to gain traction. So, there was no way he would exploit his babies just for a viral post. "I’ll post a picture of their little hands later, just so your admirers would know that you already have two kids."

"You don’t have to do that, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, smiling while showing his phone to Sohee. "I’m already doing a good job letting the whole world know that I’m married to an amazing person, and that we already have two wonderful babies."

Aigoo.

Kim Heedo made a Picstagram just recently, but his feed was already full of Sohee’s pictures and things related to him.

Like the meals that he would prepare for his husband.

And he tags me every time.

Kim Heedo hadn’t posted pictures of their babies, but he had posted pictures of their children’s stuff like their baby clothes, toys, and cribs.

Heedo isn’t chronically online, but he sure takes nice photos.

There were also stolen shots where Sohee had his back to the camera while carrying their twins.

"Your feed is so aesthetic, Heedo-ya," Sohee complained lightly. "How did you do that?"

"I just took your photos and uploaded them," Kim Heedo explained, obviously confused by what Sohee was talking about. "It’s not my skill, Hyung. My feed looks aesthetic because you and our babies are just so pretty."

Pfft.

It was cheesy, but it worked.

Sohee giggled as if he were a maiden in love— and he even playfully smacked Kim Heedo on the arm. "Yah. We’re already married with two babies— no need to seduce me with your cheesy lines."

"No, Hyung. I’ll work hard every day so you won’t regret giving me a second chance," Kim Heedo said. When Sohee just laughed, he changed the topic. "The PR Team already sent us the script for our first live broadcast, Hyung. Have you read it?"

Sohee reached 100,000 followers the other day.

As a thank you for reaching that milestone, he promised his followers that he would go on a live broadcast with Kim Heedo.

That was actually the last part of their plan.

Heedo and I are going to share our love story with the public, hoping that it will go viral so that the general public will completely forget about Lee Junsu and Sanha’s release.

"Yes, and I have to say that your PR Team is good at their job, Heedo-ya."

"They should be since we pay them handsomely."

"I like how they tweaked our love story a little bit. It’s not like we’re lying— we don’t owe them the entire truth," Sohee said while nodding approvingly. "And I’m glad that they also think it’s best that we don’t mention anything about Shaman Jung-nim."

"The general public doesn’t know that some shamans are legit. When they hear that a chaebol family relies on a shaman, it’s a red flag for them," Kim Heedo explained. "Hyung, you don’t have to follow the script they made. Just share what you want to share with the public. Pinch me discreetly if you think I’m saying too much, and give me a sign if you need my help in explaining some things about us."

Sohee smiled and nodded. "Got it."

***

SOHEE decided to have his first live broadcast in their old apartment.

My in-laws’ house is too fancy.

Hence, the background was simple since their living room was pretty normal.

Kim Heedo helped him put some balloons on the wall that said ’Happy 100k Followers,’ and a small banner under it that said ’Thank You!’

After that, they set up the table.

They decided to just sit on the floor and put a low table in front of them.

The table was full of food: two boxes of fried chicken, three boxes of pizza, a plate of cheeseballs and mozzarella sticks, and several cans of beer.

Yes, we’re having a mukbang.

"Are you ready, Heedo-ya?"

"Yes, Hyung. How about you?"

"Do I look okay?"

"You look pretty, Hyung— you always do."

Aigoo.

Sohee and Kim Heedo decided to wear simple, matching outfits for today’s live: yellow hoodie with a drawing of one goose and two goslings.

Yes, yellow was starting to be their color.

This hoodie is actually a merch that I made featuring GoldHee— our first "child"— and the twins.

"Then let’s start the live."

"Okay, Hyung."

A few moments later, Sohee and Kim Heedo started the live.

They waited until there were at least twenty viewers. From then on, the viewers just started to increase.

Before they knew it, they already had more than 20,000 viewers.

For real? We’re not even real celebrities...

"Hyung, they’re asking us how we met," Kim Heedo said naturally. Fortunately, most of the questions from their viewers were asking how they really met. "Should we share our love story with them?"

Aigoo.

My husband is so natural in front of the camera— my competitive spirit is being awakened.

"Sure, why not?" Sohee agreed. And would you look at that? He was also very natural in front of the camera. "Where should we start, though?"

"I think I should start the story since it was my grandfather who found Hyung," Kim Heedo said, ignoring the comments that were thirsting over him. "Actually, my grandfather owed Sohee Hyung’s grandfather a lot. They used to be friends, but they got separated due to several unfortunate incidents."

Yes, they also decided to omit the stolen winning lottery ticket part.

We also need to protect Chairman Kim’s reputation since the stocks of Ilsung Group will drop otherwise.

"My grandfather, in his old age, still couldn’t forget about his old friend who helped him become the person that he is now. So, he started to look for him. Unfortunately, Sohee Hyung’s grandfather had already passed away."

Many viewers asked why it took Chairman Kim Hyungsik, arguably the richest chaebol in South Korea, to find Sohee’s grandfather.

They pretended they didn’t see the questions.

Chairman Kim only looked for me because his bad karma caught up to him.

"My grandfather thought he could make it up to his old friend by taking care of Sohee Hyung," Kim Heedo said. "So, my grandfather actually arranged a marriage between me and Sohee Hyung even though we haven’t met each other at the time yet."

Sohee smiled because their love story suddenly sounded wholesome, so he decided to tease his husband. "Heedo actually didn’t like me first."

"Ah, Hyung..."

"It’s true, though. He rejected me, everyone," Sohee said teasingly. "But you can’t blame Heedo. He was just an incoming college freshman when we first met, so of course, marriage isn’t on his mind yet."

Yes, we’re not gonna mention that he was obsessed with his ex at that time.

"I didn’t want to force a kid to marry me. So, I gladly accepted his rejection," Sohee said, and then he read a slightly safe question. "Did I regret letting Kim Heedo slip through my fingers then? Maybe I did. I’ll be honest with you— at the time, I was at rock bottom. Marrying Kim Heedo would have solved all my financial troubles back then. And I knew Chairman Kim would have helped me if I had asked him to convince Kim Heedo to marry me. But my conscience outweighed my greed."

He read a comment calling him stupid, and then he laughed.

"Yes, I was being stupid at the time."

"But that’s what I liked about Sohee Hyung at the time," Kim Heedo said defensively. "He respected my decision, and he always listened to my opinion even though I was younger than him. Even now, Hyung never forces me to do things I don’t like. And I really love that about him."

Aww.

Sohee, touched by what Kim Heedo said, gently wrapped an arm around his husband’s waist. "Luckily, we met again three years later after our failed "engagement.""

"My grandfather was very sick at the time, and he said it was his dying wish to see me marry his old friend’s grandson," Kim Heedo added, sticking to the script. "I finally gave in, so I looked for Sohee Hyung. And we both decided to make our relationship work. That’s how we ended up married. But since we weren’t in love with each other yet at that time, we just registered our marriage."

"People are asking if I married you for money, and some are saying I’m a gold digger."

"Luckily, I’m rich and have a lot of gold to give to you, Hyung," Kim Heedo said. It was obvious that he got pissed because he looked at the camera with a dire look in his eyes. "Everyone, if Sohee Hyung were only after my money, he would have divorced me a long time ago. Not that we need your approval."

Sohee smiled and gently patted Kim Heedo’s back to calm him down. "I did marry Kim Heedo for money. I mean, would you marry a person who couldn’t provide for you? Yes, marrying for love is ideal. But love isn’t enough. I’m not saying that you should marry rich. But you should marry someone with a passion and the determination to give you a comfortable life. Love alone won’t feed you."

Fortunately, most of the comments agreed with him.

Let’s just ignore those who are calling me arrogant.

"Anyway, our first marriage started as an arranged marriage," Sohee continued with his story. "But the more time Heedo and I spent together, the more we got closer. Before we knew it, we were already falling in love with each other for real."

Pfft.

What a way to simplify our dramatic, makjang-like love story.

"We were already dating for real when Hyung got pregnant, so I thought to myself: why not propose to Hyung again and give him a grand wedding this time?" Kim Heedo said, smiling softly when he turned to Sohee and held his hand. "And that’s why we’re here now."

Ah, it was time to end the live now.

We’ve already said all the things we needed to say in order to capture the people’s attention— saying more will only work against us in a long-run.

Plus, it looked like his husband was no longer interested in pleasing the public.

Sohee couldn’t help but smile widely when Kim Heedo kissed the back of his hand. "Thank you for letting me have a proper wedding ceremony, Heedo-ya. I love you— our babies and I love you very much."

"I love you, too, Hyung," Kim Heedo said, smiling warmly while kissing his hand again. Anyone could tell that his husband wanted to kiss him on the lips. "You and our babies mean the world to me."

That legendary live earned Sohee a million followers on his wedding day— and that completely buried what little interest the general public had in Lee Junsu and Sanha.

And, now, D-Day is here.

***

SOHEE and Kim Heedo’s wedding was held at Hanuel Hotel— the hotel owned by the Ilsung Group.

To be precise, it was being held at the outdoor garden called ’Skyhaven House.’

Two words to describe the place: luxurious and immaculate.

The wedding venue was surrounded by nature with sweeping views of Mount Acha and the Han River— perfect for a wedding as grand as theirs.

Don’t cry, Park Sohee— you already cried at the waiting room earlier!

Sohee couldn’t help but cry when his friends and family visited him at the reception room earlier to take a picture with him.

Fortunately, his glam team retouched his makeup.

I promised them that I won’t cry during the ceremony, but it’s hard...

SNIFFLE.

Pfft.

Okay, hearing Go Gunjoon sob next to him stopped him from getting emotional.

Yes, Sohee let his half-brother walk him down the aisle.

And he seems really touched that I gave him a huge part in my wedding ceremony.

Now that he had calmed down, he used that chance to observe the entire place.

He was walking down a gorgeous aisle filled with flowers, and the flower arch waiting for him at the end looked beautiful.

And the best part?

Sohee was walking down the aisle while Lim Garam— his favorite idol— was singing his latest ballad love song called ’Made for You.’

It’s Garam Hyung’s wedding gift for me.

Jang Yeonwoo was the official photographer of the event.

This time, they also hired an assistant photographer and a videographer to help Jang Yeonwoo— making a small team for him.

I’m sure they’ll capture beautiful moments of my wedding.

To be honest, Sohee didn’t know more than half of their guests since they were his in-laws’ relatives and business partners.

But he was happy to see the faces of his friends and family.

I have no choice but to invite Chairman Kim since we don’t have to deal with gossips if people find out that our "bridge" wasn’t invited to the wedding.

"Hyung, please be happy forever— only walk down the flower path from now on."

Aigoo.

Sohee turned to Go Gunjoon, who was still crying, and nodded. "Of course. And I’ll make sure all my loved ones would be happy, too— including you, my one and only baby brother."

And that only made Go Gunjoon cry harder.

Sohee just chuckled and patted his half-brother’s back, and then he finally looked at the man waiting for him at the end of the aisle.

Kim Heedo, do you need to be so handsome today?

Both Sohee and Kim Heedo wore white tailored suits for their wedding.

But his husband looked more handsome in it.

Everyone, I didn’t marry him for his money— I married him for that face card and beauty genes that he passed down to our babies.

Heh.

I did well.

Sohee’s thoughts were interrupted when Go Gunjoon finally handed him over to Kim Heedo.

And, as soon as his husband looked at him...

Aigoo.

Kim Heedo burst out crying.

His friends will tease him a lot later for this.

In fact, Sohee remembered their friends betting whether Kim Heedo would cry or not.

I knew he’d cry, so I made the right bet.

"Why are you crying, yeobo?" Sohee whispered, teasing Kim Heedo when he linked his arms with his. "Those are happy tears, right?"

"Of course, Hyung," Kim Heedo said between sobs. "I’m just really, really happy. I can’t believe that someone as beautiful and kind as you chose to marry me twice. I’ll never make you regret choosing me again and again, Hyung."

"Right, and I’ll make sure you keep your promise."

"I will make sure you’re always happy."

"And I will also make sure to do the same, Heedo-ya. I will make you happy the way you do," Sohee said softly while wiping the tears off Kim Heedo’s face with his hand. "We can only be good parents to our children if we’re both happy and healthy."

Kim Heedo smiled and nodded. "Let’s make sure our little family will be happy, safe, and complete for the rest of our lives, Hyung."

And they sealed their promise with a kiss.
