Harry walked towards the shelf closest to the entrance. The number of spell scrolls wasn't so much that they filled the library.

Harry pursed his lips slightly as he stood in front of the tall shelf. He read the label on one of the rows which stated "tier one spells", he simply ignored the books as he had no use for them.

He placed his hand on one of the scrolls, and just as he expected, a system message flashed across his eyes.

[Does the Host want to learn the skill "Wind Blade"?]

[Wind Blade: Conjure a short blade out of the wind and launch it towards your opponent]

[Cost: 5 skill points]

[Yes/No]

A slight crease appeared on Harry's brows, it was quite powerful for a spell at the first tier. f𝔯ee𝘸𝘦𝚋𝒏oѵ𝐞l.c𝒐𝓂

Harry already had the wind slash which was a tier-two spell in reality. It was also one of the most powerful attack spells used by stage one Elementalists.

While its effect was quite similar to 'wind slash', it was also different. As for the difference; one was a slash and one was a blade.

"Yes," Harry muttered. Though it might seem like the wrong decision for him to learn a spell similar to one he already had, Harry was sure that 'wind blade' would become a formidable skill in its later stages.

Who knows, he might even be able to conjure more than ten blades at once.

[Learning Skill…]

Besides, this would be the first 'wind spell' he would learn, he would simply start the practical lessons with it.

If he was a normal Elementalist, he might have been at a disadvantage since he didn't live in the academy dormitory.

Students weren't allowed to take spell books outside of the academy unless they did not belong to the academy in the first place, and then they were free to take it anywhere they wished.

It meant students who didn't live in the dormitories had no choice but to wait till they were in the academy before studying the scroll.

This would unsurprisingly make their progress slower compared to someone that stayed in the academy dormitory.

However, Harry could simply learn the spell as a skill through his system.

[New Skill Learnt: Wind Blade]

A slight smile appeared on Harry's face as he moved his hand to the next scroll.

[Does the Host want to learn the skill "Wind Steps"?]

[Wind Steps: Use the power of wind on your feet to boost your speed]

[Cost: 3 Skill points]

[Yes/No]

A weird expression appeared on Harry's face, he was quite surprised by the low number of skill points required to learn the skill. The skill was also quite useful for boosting speed.

Though he already has 'accelerate' as a speed boost skill, there was no harm in getting another speed-related skill.

"Yes," Harry said. He was sure the skill would get a lot more powerful as it levelled up.

[Learning skill…]

[New skill learnt: Wind steps]

Harry nodded his head slightly. He then kept going through all the tier-one skills—spells, on the row.

A wry smile appeared on his face when he got to the end of the row.

None of the spells he saw was useful to him.

Most of them were simply spells that boosted speed or shot out a wind attack—similar to 'wind blade'.

He could learn them and then level them up till they got more powerful but it would only be a waste of skill points. He knew that wasn't the wisest thing to do, especially now that he was trying to save skills points.

Skill points could only be gotten by completing quests and since his last quest completion—the optional quest to absorb the beast core, he hadn't gotten any new quests so he wasn't sure about when he would get more skill points. He could only manage the little he had.

He still had to visit the other two spell libraries to learn more lightning and earth skills, he knew he would definitely find more useful and versatile skills.

He couldn't waste skill points in one library when there were still other skills to learn.

'Perhaps I'll come back to learn some of them when I get enough skill points.' Harry mumbled as he moved over to another shelf.

He went through a few more tier-one spells but he still wasn't able to see a useful one. They weren't completely useless but would be quite a waste of skill points.

Even though the library didn't have as many tier-two skills, there were still a few tier-two spells.

He gave up on tier-one spells and moved to the tier-two section. Even if he managed to learn all the tier two spells available, he would make sure he learnt the most powerful ones. After all, they were said to be ten times more powerful and effective than tier-one spells.

A slight smile appeared on his face as his fingers touched the first tier-two spell on the shelf row.

[Does the Host want to learn the skill "Wind needles"?]

[Wind Needles: Conjure small needles using the wind element and shoot them towards your opponents.]

[Note: The number of needles depended on the Host's will and energy spent on the skill]

[Cost: 7 Skill points]

"Yes," Harry said without hesitation. A part of him had expected that the skill would be more expensive but since it wasn't, it was only good for him.

From the description of the skill, it was very obvious that it was a powerful skill. It might seem like it was just an ordinary attack spell like "wind blade" or "wind slash" but Harry knew it wasn't.

[Learning Skill…]

A familiar message appeared in front of him.

It might not sound as destructive as 'wind slash' but it was definitely more effective. Not only would it have better-piercing power but it would also finish the opponent quicker.

Harry could even create more than one wind needle as long as he willed it and had enough energy to expend.

[New skill learnt: wind needles]

Harry was so excited to see what the next skill—spell, would be that he immediately stretched his hand to it. Just as he was about to touch the skill, he suddenly felt the mana pressure around him increase.

Although he couldn't use mana, he could still sense when 'mana pressure was being used on him. It was more like a sixth sense he developed through his perception.

He could also feel the gaze of someone drilling into him.

He slowly firmed around, a slight surprise flashed through his eyes as his gaze met that of a light brown-haired boy.

"Trent…" He couldn't help but mutter as a cold glint flashed through his eyes. The last thing he had expected was to meet Trent—his be-hated brother, in the wind hall.

It wasn't that surprising also, after all, Trent was a wind Elementalist and he would also come to the spell library once in a while. This meeting was only a coincidence—one Harry didn't like very much as setting his eyes on Trent had spoilt his mood.

Trent's eyes were cold as he slowly walked towards Harry. "You… what are you doing here…?" He asked with scorn and hate dripping through his voice.

A slight smile appeared on Harry's face as he noticed the height difference between them now.

Trent used to be taller than him but now Harry was looking down at Trent as he was already slightly taller.

"That's none of your business," Harry said nonchalantly. Though his voice sounded nonchalant, one could still sense that it was laced with hate.

?

A few minutes earlier…

Trent's brows twitched slightly, he clenched his fists as he muttered one word: "Harry…"

The last person he had expected to see in the spell library was Harry, especially not at a time like this when he was frantically looking for something.

The moment he set his eyes on Harry, different memories started flashing through his eyes.

Different waves of emotions washed through him and he only felt one thing—hate and disgust!

He had also heard about how Harry got registered into the lightning hall.

At first, he thought it was a joke but that notion vanished after he witnessed Harry coming out of the hall himself.

This made him annoyed and he consoled himself with the thought that Harry probably awakened a low-grade affinity.

Since then he hadn't seen Harry, and nor had he heard anything about Harry.

But now that he saw Harry in the wind hall, he was sure of one thing: it wasn't a low-grade affinity but a dual affinity!
