Malevolent Warlock: Sin Of Eternity-Chapter 75 Against a level 2 warlock again
75 Against a level 2 warlock again
"Sure, why not?" The family head said with glee. He was starting to think that Peri was well-prepared for his ploy. She accepted his proposal too quickly.
He thought that he would need to force her to engage him in battle, so when she agreed to it readily, he was a bit shocked. But now, seeing that she had no level 2 mages on her side, he knew that his plan had worked.
"Good, Carlson with me" Leon waved causally indicating that he and Carlson would take on the level 2 warlock.
"Hm" Carlson nodded and walked to the front, alongside Leon.
"I'll go first, I'll signal to join when I need you to" Leon told Carlson while unwrapping the piece of cloth on his wrists.
The battle with the level 2 warlock in the undercity had not only destroyed his poison dagger, it also shattered his wrist. But with time he was able to heal up.
"Are you sure?" Carlson was skeptical. Even with his family techniques, he would find it difficult to fight a level 2 warlock. What was Leon going to do.
"Don't worry, I won't put myself in unnecessary danger" Leon patted Carlson on the shoulder. Carlson was somewhat taller than Leon, which led him to believe that he was a kid.
But something about Leon didn't sit right with him. He behaved too much like an adult, an experienced one at that. So he had subconsciously started treating him as an equal.
"Good thing I learned it, it finally came in handy" Leon smirked. Under his kimono, his body had on it own started to heat up. A shade of red spread across his skin, causing his veins to bulge.
Leon was currently using a spell he didn't quite like, but seemed necessary at this point.
"Blood Rage" Leon muttered.
Yes, it was the spell he had gotten from the heaven devourer mountain area. He didn't like using it because it was a berserk skill. Although not the same level as the one Liana used. It still made him cautious.
"Release her chains" with an evil smirk on his face, the family head of the kentow family ordered.
—Clang
The chains of the warlock fell to the floor, and she looked over at the kentow family head. He promised the oath under the slave contract would be lifted if she won against and enemy of his, so she was seeking assurance?
And of course, the Thane gave her that assurance. But what was in his mind was not what she thought, he would never give her freedom. After all, he spent a lot to get her, there was no way he would let her go.
Obviously, she didn't know that.
—Boom!!!
The female Warlock exploded forward with all her might, aiming at Leon's head with her palm. It was sudden and efficient, once she was able to grab Leon, it would be his head.
Unfortunately, Leon saw her move coming and at the last minute he dodged.
"Huuuu" Leon blew out some air. She repeated the attack about two more times, with the same method. But even though it seemed like was closer to catching him each time, he just kept eluding her by a hairs' breath.
"That's should be enough…" Leon nodded while looking at his red hand.
The blood rage spell could actually shoot him to peak level 1 strength if he wanted, but there was no way Leon would risk himself like that. He had to find a sweet spot. One that would allow him to dodge attacks comfortably.
"This is it, I guess" Leon readied himself so when the next strike came barreling towards him, he completely disappeared. Following which.
—puu

Wind arrows scattered through the air, striking the warlock, but each one was effortlessly dodged and blasted away by her.
Leon didn't relent though, he kept running circles around her, throwing wind arrow after wind arrow.
—puuu

—puuu
At first, they had no effect on her, but with time, the number of arrows flying at her only increased. Leon understood that the arrows didn't have much damage when facing a level 2 warlock, so what he couldn't fulfil with strength, he compensated with numbers.
He was basically harassing her at this point.
Gradually, this had begun to piss off the warlock. Even though the arrows barely harmed her, it was super annoying.
"Ahhhhh!!!" It didn't take long for her to burst out in an uncontrollable rage.
"You asked for it!!" She gritted her teeth and said.
"Grasslynx work: Blade of claws"
Almost immediately, her aura changed. She hadn't been using life-energy before, but Léon had annoyed her into doing so. She would have to end this fast.
"Carlson now!!" Leon screamed upon noticing the change.
"Water work: mythic Lance"
Immediately, Carlson zoomed forward with his spear aiming for the chest of the warlock. The mythic Lance spell was actually a watered-down level 2 spell from his Aqua way family. This meant that it could definitely deal brutal damage to a level 2 warlock.
Especially In the hands of Carlson
—Clang!!!
However, the trajectory was a bit off as the female Warlock blocked the spear with her now elongated claw - like fingers.
They were a match!!
"Hold her down!!" From behind, Leon commanded while he circled around harassing her with causal arrow attacks.
"Hmp!! All these tactics are useless. Against a level 2 warlock, they are nothing" the captain of the kentow family guard snorted. And everyone in the room nodded.
His words were obnoxious but true, there was no way in hell that two level 1 mages could win against a level 2 warlock.
They all believed so, Peri had made a massive mistake allowing Leon to make that decision to fight against the Warlock.
"Relax, this is not the first time they've done this" Arian, who was seated loosely on a chair behind Peri said out loud.
She was originally telling Peri to not worry that Leon knew what he was doing. But she also made her voice Loud enough so the kentow family members would hear her.
"Haha, we aren't kids, young lady. We know the difference between level 1 and level 2." One of the Elders of the kentow family mocked.
Arian was trying to frighten them by saying Leon and Carlson had fought against a level 2 warlock before. But who would believe such a lie.
"We'll see" Arian knew Leon was a very logical person. He wouldn't engage in anything that would risk his life with a proper plan.
All they had to do was wait.
(So that's how it is..... I'm so glad I went ahead with this)
Leon mused while running around pestering the warlock. He was able to monitor and observe her energy signatures from here and note down the difference between them.
For a warlock, moving from beginner level 1 to peak level 1 was but an accumulation of energy. However, for one to improve and advance to level 2 there had to be something special..... Leon's battle with this warlock had helped it finally understand that special thing.
It was the bloodline
In level 1 they needed to Only strengthen the bloodlines and accumulate, then they would break through. But in level 2 they had to learn how to embody that bloodline.
For example, when he attacked the warlock in the undercity, his aura changed, making him resemble a savage gorilla. The same was for this lady. Whenever she activated a spell, her body would actively mimic the power of her bloodline.
It was very intriguing and Leon wanted to study it more. But sadly, he didn't have that much time.
"I should end this" Leon muttered before stretching his hand forward in a gripping motion.
As soon as Leon did this, the female Warlock who had just slashed at Carlson , leaving a mark on his amour felt a subtle pressure on her arm.
—crrr
The pressure kept tightening and tightening, it wasn't enough to break her bones but in the last minute, her right arm was pulled back all of a sudden it felt like she was being drawn by a rope. This brief moment,
created the avenue for
—fffffing
Carlson to strike. He used his spear tip to cut from underneath her armpit all the way to her shoulder, effectively severing her entire arm off.
"Argggg" Watching her arm fall off, she wailed in pain before forcing herself to retreat. Only her retreat was not so effective either as Leon was waiting right behind her.
Just as she landed, the cold tip of a dagger pierced right through her back and directly through her heart.
Out of the frying pan and into the fire, before she knew it, she was dead.
"Sigh!!" Leon, who was responsible for, taking her life, sighed in regret. A level 2 warlock would hardly be sold in the market. One that he could study like this would definitely not be easy to find. But he had to do it.
He couldn't have the kentow family using her against them anymore. Really, this was a mercy for her, at least she wouldn't be under their control anymore.
"He killed her!!! Surround him!!!" The head of the kentow family bellowed with unfiltered rage in his eyes.
He spent a fortune on that slave, and she was killed just like that? He wouldn't take it.
