Mage Manual-Chapter 1384 - 1014: Summoning a Divine Being
The wedding was held in the largest Starry Night Chapel under the Dazzling Star, officiated by Dedarose, where eternal vows were made and blessings were received from everyone. Among the guests were Sonia’s family and friends, as well as everyone from Ash’s circle—even Filly and Nia.
The bedroom after the wedding was beyond Ash’s imagination: an open-air room on the cliff. Outside lay the lake with its roaring waves, below lay the Abyss, but one had to admit that when the starry sky sprinkled into every inch of the room, it indeed felt like a dreamy Fairy Tale.
Ash carried Sonia into the room in a princess hug, gently placing her by the bed. Throughout the process, Sonia remained still, her head lowered, hiding her expression beneath the veil, like a startled kitten, only her hand in white lace gloves remained tightly held onto Ash.
Yet as Ash looked at this girl in a wedding dress, his emotions were a complex intertwining of sweetness and bitterness. It wasn’t that he wasn’t happy, but the problem was, this wasn’t a wedding in reality; it was a wedding in Sonia’s Consciousness World. If one had to describe it, it was like being given three wishes by a genie, and you wished for what to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
He once speculated on what Sonia’s deepest soul desire was—becoming an Invincible Sword Master, or a noble wielding the highest powers globally, or perhaps pursuing immortality. Even if she didn’t have such grand ambitions, she must have had small wishes like becoming the most popular Songstress and Shadow Actress in the six countries, right?
But Ash forgot one thing.
Sonia wasn’t a Witch who jumped from the Tower, nor did she bear the apocalyptic mission of the Silver Lamp, nor was she a wandering for a thousand years Demigod, even if she participated in the Four Pillars God Sect’s rebellion against the Dazzling Star for the last six months, she was still that ordinary girl with a bit of vanity.
Power was important, and so was authority; although she desired them, she feared she couldn’t hold onto them, so what she wanted most was just that small but certain happiness.
Without the impurities of power, knowledge, or status, the Sword Maiden’s dream was pure to the point of transparency. She just wanted to have a simple love with Ash, to date, dance, marry, and do all the things couples should do.
Of course, this didn’t mean Sonia was that easily satisfied. If this place still couldn’t qualify her to summon the Divine Being, Ash was sure there was a honeymoon waiting. That’s the kind of girl she was, never satisfied, always seeking more beauty, yet all the beauty she pursued was related to Ash.
Ash knelt in front of her, holding up her hand with the wedding ring. The ring was styled as the couple’s ring he gave her; he kissed it lightly and said to Sonia, "Even in Hell and Heaven, we will never part."
At this moment, Ash finally abandoned those thoughts that excluded the Sword Maiden. Her life was all about you; her heart and soul longed for you. You were the brightest color in her life; without you, she couldn’t even find anyone to dance with. How could you bear to let her world become dark again?
After a long time, a gentle ’Mm’ finally came from under the veil.
Ash sat beside her, watching this girl, who had changed from her usual lively and energetic manner to a lady-like demeanor, and somehow he felt a bit nervous too, cautiously helping her remove the veil. As he touched her snowy shoulder, Ash clearly felt the person in his arms tremble; apparently, she was even more nervous than himself.
Sonia finally raised her head, and under the soft starlight, her charming face was even brighter than the Star Cluster, her watery eyes flowed with enchanting allure, and even her blood-red long hair became vibrant.
When Ash hugged her waist, Sonia’s body trembled, stammering, "Could, could you..."
"Hmm?"
"Could you... turn off the lights?"
Ash was stunned, looking up at the Starry Sky. This was an open-air room lit only by Starlight; there weren’t any lights.
Although it’s certainly possible to turn off the starry sky directly, but...
"I can’t." Ash smiled, "I want to keep looking at you."
Sonia let out a mosquito-like grievance sound, covered her face with her hands, and said pitifully, "You’re bullying me."
Thump!
Ash felt like his heart had been hammered, his soul was about to melt like ice cream. He held Sonia’s hands, these delicate hands that could grip a long sword and kill through a nation, now weakly spread apart by him.
Sonia chose to resist to the end, turned her head and closed her eyes tightly, so Ash kissed all the way from her neck to her lips, and then to the corner of her eye. Sonia felt the corner of her eye itching and had to open her eyes, looking aggrievedly at Ash, "You just love bullying me."
"I want to bully you for a lifetime." Ash blinked, making his second eternal promise.
Pop!
Sonia’s back suddenly unfolded a pair of huge white wings, gently wrapping around both of them, leaving no gap for light. But soon, a second pair of white wings appeared inside, interweaving with the first pair, feathers tangling, penetrating, finally merging into one, transforming into a pair of wings floating into the Starry Sky.
*
Ruby Mountain.
Vishi’s voice echoed like the deep abyss, "Soul Lock all beings, enslave Fate!"
A phantom blue figure appeared below Vishi’s soul body. It wore heavy armor built of chains, but the body was a mass of phantom blue flames, with five sharp blazing tails behind it, its phantom flame hair flowing in the wind, both eerie and beautiful. But as it pulled a chain from the void, all observers’ souls started trembling!
Divine Soul Lock!
The Hell that Weiser bore suddenly underwent intense Silverization, her ethereal voice transmitted through the light to all corners of the Void Realm, "Eternal Silver Lamp, renew the future!"
Countless streams of light gathered on Weiser’s left hand, gradually forming a delicately patterned silver tome. Weiser held the Silver Lamp in her right hand, and the silver tome in her left, with five wings blazing fiercely behind her, countless words circled around her endlessly, the expanded powers even able to penetrate Hell!
Divine Silver Lamp!
Diya’s hair suddenly transformed into clear five colors, five voices symphonically playing, "Fairy Tale Time, painting fantasy!"
The Witch’s hair colors twisted and turned, merging under her soul body into a small pink gold-haired figure. It wore a colorful dress, holding a drawing board in both hands, its face stained with oil colors, even the five pink gold tails were dyed in messy hues.
Divine Fairy Tale!
Finally, there was Sonia’s nearly singing melodious voice, "Under the Starry Sky, Twin Wings Shattered Lake."
She gently sliced with her finger, slashing out a Blood Moon Shattered Lake, only to see Sword Qi Wave suddenly collapse into a sphere wrapped by Twin Wings, and as the wings spread, a figure wearing a black veil and a black evening dress appeared in the Void Realm. White wings, black attire, it seemed like a Fallen Angel and also like a Demon breaking through Hell.
It extended a hand, drawing a black giant sword from the void, casually swinging it, causing the Ruby Mountain below to crumble into countless Fragments!
Divine Fragment Lake!
After summoning and upgrading the Divine Beings, the four operators didn’t rush to understand the Divine Beings’ characteristics but all looked towards Ash in the center. Observing Ash’s solemn gaze towards the Fifth Level of Hell, they also retracted their gaze, someone said lightheartedly:
"Let’s take care of the Fifth Level of Hell first."
"Mm."
"Mm."
"Mm."
