Mage Legend-Chapter 519: Travel and Non-Travel Travel - Forty-Seven Capture (Part 3)
Lynch sat close to Zilvra but said nothing, only looking into her eyes. ππΏπππ°π²ππ§π π§π²π₯.ππ¨π
"Oh, Lynch, Iβve seen quite a bit in your eyesβemotions and desire," Zilvra said. "Although you always manage to hide your desires, they reveal traces under this dark night sky. Listen, Mage, I actually prefer it when you show your wild side, at least thereβs no restraint, no shackles. When you truly learn to master your emotions, I will consider your needs."
"So what you mean is that I should down another bottle? Use the warmth of the liquid to stimulate my body and mind?" Lynch said with a smile. "I prefer gazing into your eyes while sober, rather than being unable to remember anything."
"Whether you remember or not is irrelevant to me; I prioritize my own feelings," Zilvraβs slender fingers traced across Lynchβs chest. She said, "If you can meet my requirements and deem yourself worthy of the pleasure I can grant you. Lynch, at that time, I can soothe all the burning desires and cravings in your heart, and even go beyond your expectations, letting you forget any other pleasures in the world. But there will be a price to payβand I certainly wonβt suffer any loss in this process."
"Alright, alright, Zilvra, tomorrow Iβll talk to Morgan about how to train my body to be stronger." Lynch winked. "Though I do know some spells that can improve performance in certain situations. Maybe I should refresh my memory on them tomorrow?"
"Hmph, why are you starting to talk nonsense now?" Zilvra stood up. "Whatever you decide to do, you donβt need my guidance. But I still maintain my standards. Itβs already the latter half of the nightβafter all, in this place, we canβt determine the exact time. Iβm going to check on Soka, and you go wake those two men; itβs their turn for the watch."
Zilvra then left the campfire and slipped into the carriage to tuck her sister back in. Lynch chuckled softly, stepping lightly to find Macken and Morgan, and woke them up.
The Knight sleeps with his soft armor on, only needing to put on the outer armor to be fully equipped. Morgan complained about Lynch interrupting his dream, preventing him from winning the 3,700th Dwarf Speed Drinking Championship.
The Mage set up a few magical alarms around the camp before he could rest easy and find a spot to sleep. The carriage where Zilvra and Soka stayed was naturally not Lynchβs destination, so he only took the chance of casting protective spells for the ladies to peek inside. The Mage wrapped himself tightly in the cloak given by the Elf Queen and slept under the carriage. With this outermost layer of protection, the uneven ground seemed to become softer, at least it didnβt affect Lynchβs sleep quality.
Morgan, using his warhammer for support, sat on a wooden stump by the fire. Macken Knight was silent, simply glancing around occasionally, fulfilling his duty as a night watchman. But if the Knight doesnβt chat with the Dwarf, the sleepy Morgan inevitably falls back into sleep, resuming his unfinished pursuit of the championship.
The next morning, as expected, things went drastically wrong. The Mage opened his eyes and immediately sensed something was amiss. The surroundings became brighter, the sunβs rays slanting over the treetops, shining right on Lynchβs face. The area was no longer silent; birdsong could be heard sporadically, sounding light and lively.
The Mage hurriedly crawled out from under the carriage; it was clear this was no longer the campsite from the day before. The big tree blocking their path was now only a distant shadow to the east, and from here, one could see the river flowing westward. The magical barrier around the camp remained unscathed, indicating no creatures had approached the area. But by the extinguished campfire, only Morganβs snoring figure remainedβthe Knight Macken was nowhere to be found.
Lynch lifted the wagonβs curtain, just in time to see Zilvra still holding Soka in a peaceful sleep. If not for the eerie air surrounding the situation, perhaps the Mage might have continued to gorgeously appreciate the scene within. Lynch tapped the Dwarfβs helmet with his magic wand, immediately asking as he opened his eyes, "Morgan! Where did Knight Macken go?"
