Whether the vampire was truly afraid, or merely pretending to be, their pace had unmistakably quickened, and that was an indisputable fact. Zilvra now almost used all her strength, coupled with an intermittent Floating Technique (whose effects were growing weaker), just to keep up with the man’s speed.

When Zilvra’s eyes were focused on the vampire ahead of her, she unconsciously forgot how she had reached this position. Only when a giant green tower loomed before her did Zilvra suddenly realize, filled with regret for her carelessness.

"Damn it, now I might get trapped here."

Though she thought this way, she must now fully confront what was hiding inside the tower—the master of the undead army. This high tower, appearing at the fringe of the Elf Forest, was constructed by piecing together countless skulls, with zombie bodily fluid serving as the binding glue. Despite the stench that could be smelled from miles away, it failed to attract a single fly. The aura of death made all living creatures avoid this place. Outside the tower, milky white mist interspersed with black spots looked like the festering skin of a plague victim, causing waves of nausea.

Zilvra forced herself to focus on the slowly opening door. A familiar emblem came into view—a half-damaged demon skull vividly carved on the door.

"Undead Magic Bead!" Zilvra confirmed her discovery in her heart. Thus, the tower’s master must be an Arcane Caster, Zilvra continuously reminded herself to cautiously deal with the situation ahead. In her understanding, mages of the surface world should all possess strength akin to Lynch’s, making them formidable opponents. But how could she know that Lynch had already surpassed the typical capabilities of a Mage Apprentice, nearing the level of a Great Mage?

Unlike the filthy land outside, the interior of the tower appeared clean and tidy, with a faint musk scent completely blocking the odor outside. The immaculate, vibrant carpet was soft and comfortable, though the embroidery of dancing ghosts on it caused unease. Two rows of stairs led to either side of the tower, with wide steps featuring railings made of white bones. Next to the spiraling stairs, the walls displayed numerous portraits. Those large ones inlaid with gold borders must belong to the tower’s masters. Among them, Zilvra noticed a familiar face—the portrait of the first matron of the First Family. Other frames decorated with brass patterns were filled with scenes of anguish and wailing. Beings of different races, genders, and ages displayed expressions of terror, with no hint of hope on their twisted faces, only the certainty of death reflected in their eyes. It’s unimaginable what kind of demented artist would capture such images.

Zilvra stood in the center of the hall, observing the surroundings. Though the style favored by the undead permeated the place—sharp and harsh sculptures, spirals, and strikingly contrasting tapestries—there were also elements that clashed with the tower’s essence.

A lone Moonset Grass stood in a corner of the room, its white flowers yet to wither. Even without the contrast of green leaves, it remained purely beautiful, stubbornly standing tall in a skull-shaped black pot. This flower was one of the elves’ cherished plants, its name derived from its white hue. Under the moonlight, this Moonset Grass would emit a radiant glow, more captivating than even the moon above. When all three moons vanished, this plant remained white and bright. At any time, the moon would pale before it, and it would never lose its luster, leading elves to call it "Moonset Grass."

However, its presence in this undead-guarded tower was indeed puzzling. Zilvra would never believe that skeletons and zombies would possess such aesthetic taste. The only explanation was that the owner here was an elf or had once lived in the Elf World.
