Ethan left the Queen’s room after putting on the clothes; one of the maids was outside waiting for him.

"Her Highness told me to take you to the bath" the maid spoke.

"Alright," Ethan replied as she led the way, and he followed; he had no idea if she was part of the maids he banged yesterday or not.

The maid took him to another room that was a bathroom, the bathroom was as large as Anna’s room and decorated.

"Is this the guest bathroom?" Ethan asked.

"No, it belongs to her Highness" the maid replied, "Should I take your clothes off?" She asked.

"No, don’t worry, you can leave," Ethan said, and she turned around, exited the bathroom, and stood at the door.

Two racks were placed on both sides of the bath; white clothes were placed on one, which were towels, and the other one was empty, which Ethan hung his clothes on before stepping into the bath.

Ethan sighed in relief as he stepped into the bath. The water was calming, and soon, his entire body, including his head, was inside the water.

Ethan stayed submerged for some minutes before pulling himself out; after a while of soaking, he exited the bath and cleaned himself, then he put on his clothes and exited the bathroom.

"Do you want breakfast brought to you, or should I take you to the dining room?" The maid asked.

"Is Anna in her room?" Ethan asked.

"No, her Highness is preparing for the council meeting" the maid replied.

"Alright, I’ll eat in the room"

Ethan was escorted back to the room where he was served breakfast that he enjoyed but couldn’t finish as it was too much for a single person.

’This is the problem now, I have nothing to do, I’ll be bored all day, and I can’t just go asking the guards to duel with me, I need to increase my attributes’

Ethan waited, but nothing happened. Then he wanted to try again, but a portal opened behind him, and a smile formed on his face as he waited for Cynthia to exit the portal, but she didn’t, so he went in.

Ethan came out of the portal and was inside their house, Cynthia and Lara stood there staring at him like they had seen a ghost.

"Hi," Ethan spoke, but the two of them rushed towards him and hugged him.

"How have you been? Where have you been? Why didn’t you reach out? Why can’t I pass through the portal?" Both of them had many questions but Ethan’s ears caught the last one.

"I’m currently in the Royal Palace," Ethan said.

"The palace, that’s why I couldn’t pass through the portal, what are you doing in the palace?" Cynthia asked.

"Leave that aside, do you need us to do anything for you?" Lara asked.

"I want to go to the forest to hunt; I’m sure you know a better hunting ground since both of you are adventurers," Ethan spoke.

"You want to go hunting, but it’s mating season; as a male, you shouldn’t be going anywhere," Cynthia spoke.

"Don’t worry about me; just open a portal to somewhere where beasts are, preferably close to a dungeon," Ethan said.

"What if something happens to you, I won’t forgive myself, and since you’re in the palace, the Royal family is going to find out; I can’t do that," Cynthia said.

"Alright then, I’m off," Ethan said as he walked towards their door.

"Wait, you’re leaving just like that?" Cynthia called out, stopping him.

Ethan turned back. "Since you can’t help, I’m going out through the city gates, I don’t want to sit doing nothing, and besides I have a reason"

Ethan shook his head. "No, Just show me a good spot, that’s all I need, you’ll know when I’m done, and maybe I might be in a good mood then, you might even get rewarded"

Cynthia and Lara glanced at themselves, and Cynthia stretched her hands, opening a portal with a smile on her face.

Ethan chuckled as he walked through the portal, and it closed behind him; he was in an abandoned village.

The abandoned village was dead silent, with fog drifting lazily through the broken remains of wooden houses.

Most of the buildings had fallen roofs and shattered windows, with vines creeping up the cracked stone walls. The ground was littered with fallen branches, damp leaves, and patches of wild grass growing through the cobblestone paths.

It was just like the first one where Maria brought him the last time, but this time there wasn’t a dungeon in sight, or he hadn’t found it yet, he didn’t ask Cynthia where he was going, but he didn’t care.

Ethan wasn’t going to let what happened last time repeat itself, especially after he met Vala; she was far too powerful for even an academy head, so he would be cannon fodder in front of her.

He couldn’t just get powerful at once so he was going to use all mating season to build his strength, banging chicks and killing beasts.
